BLESSING FOR THE OBEDIENT 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️👨🏽💻🎁🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽🙌🏽
📜📜JEREMIAH 17:5-8📜📜
🕔📚🖋️🚻😁🎼🏆🍉🪴🌈💻
🔑📖 Key Verse: "Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is" (Jeremiah 17:7).
📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖
Our God is a righteous and just God. He blesses the obedient and punishes the disobedient. Blessing or punishment comes as a result of everyone's activities. Your actions determine what you receive.
Our Bible passage divides the children of Israel, and everybody on earth, into two groups. The group of the "cursed" - these are people who cheat the weak, put their trust in others, and make God less important in their lives. They look up to men for help, and also feel they have the ability and all the money to get all it takes to make themselves happy without God.
In thoughts, words and actions they neither fear nor honour God. They are like stunted plants which grow on dry ground without water and nutrients. They have no hope for a better future in Heaven. That is the group that is cursed.
However, those who trust in and have hope in the Lord, who fear God and do what is right before Him, shall be as a tree planted by the waters, whose leaves are always green, and does not worry about drought, but always yield fruits of righteousness and good works.
Choose to fear the Lord and love Him with all your heart. Make your ways right before Him. Then the Lord will bless you and make your life fruitful all the days of your life.
🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥
🅿️rayer: Lord, help me to do those things that are pleasing to You, so that You will bless me always. 🙏🏽

POWERFUL PRAISE 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️🗣️🎙️🎼🎵🎶🎹🎷🎺🪗🎻🪈🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽🙌🏽
📜📜TEXT: ACTS 16:25-26📜📜
📖 MEMORY VERSE: "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them" (ACTS 16:25).
At midnight, Paul and Silas who had been beaten and imprisoned with their feet in stocks, prayed and sang praises unto God. Their joyful attitude in suffering exemplifies the injunction that we should not worry about anything, but rather pray and give thanks to God in everything (Philippians 4:6).
But what were their thanksgiving for? Dick Eastman says, "Basically, thanksgiving is the act of expressing specific, gratitude to God for blessings He has bestowed upon us. These expressions may be mental or vocal."
But were the physical and emotional pains that Paul and Silas were going through blessings? Maybe no, from human standpoint. But God's word says, "...count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations" (James 1:2). Hence, they did not murmur and complain, and God delivered them.
Solemn worship and praise are what the angels and elders do in heaven. As a young believer, you may be in one kind of suffering or another. Do not be discouraged. "It's always darkest before the dawn," says a song writer. So, turn your worries to praise and prayer for help.
💬 QUOTE: God delivered them.
🏆 CHALLENGE: Spend time to praise God, no matter your condition.
🙏🏽🙏🏽 PRAYER: Oh God, give me the grace to praise You always.

WEDNESDAY 24TH JUNE, 2026
RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 133: OUT OF MY BONDAGE; GHS 130: JUST AS I AM, WITHOUT ONE PLEA; AND GHS 105: I'LL TELL THE WORLD
POWER OF OUR CONFESSION 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️✝️🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽🙌🏽
📜📜TEXT: EZRA 10:9-15📜📜
🔑📖 KEY VERSE: "Now therefore make confession unto the LORD God of your fathers, and do his pleasure: and separate yourselves from the people of the land, and from the strange wives" (EZRA 10:11).
A bank robbery in which $835 was stolen occurred in Hoyt, Kansas, on the morning of May 17, 1948. Four years later, 23-year-old Albert H. Johnson stood before a Baptist congregation of about 100 worshippers and confessed his sins. Asked why the public confession after reporting himself to the authorities, Johnson said, "I prayed about it and asked the Lord to give me an answer. It seemed like He would give me only one answer, and that was to give myself up." Johnson was also willing to repay his $315 share of the robbery and any other punishment the law recommends.
When Ezra, the priest, stood before the men of Benjamin and Judah, in today's text, he was unsparing in condemning their ungodly and adulterous behaviour. "Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange wives, to increase the trespass of Israel." Rather than pet them and hide their transgressions under the mercy of God, Ezra laid it on them, straight and direct, "Now therefore make confession unto the LORD God of your fathers, and do his pleasure: and separate yourselves from the people of the land, and from the strange wives" (Ezra 10:11). Repentance followed by confession, is the Bible-recommended way to show that we have truly turned from our sins. Through confession, we demonstrate that we are sorry for our actions and willing to change our ways.
There are preachers today who discourage new believers from engaging in public confession and restitution. According to them, grace covers it all. However, confession is not only recommended as a way of showing that we belong to Christ; it is also the cementing of our ties to the body of Christ. It enhances our faith testimony while also announcing to the world that we are, henceforth, on the Lord's team.
Judah and Benjamin's actions are commendable. There was no shame or fear in accepting their guilt and turning to God for forgiveness and pardon. Today, despite the thought of how people will perceive us, believers must be willing to publicly confess their faith and accept the consequences of their wrongdoings without making excuses. Are there things in your life that you need to confess? Is the Holy Spirit convicting you in any area of your life? Be like Judah and Benjamin, and let your answer be: "As thou hast said, so must (I) do." This will bring you good conscience and peace with those you may have offended.
✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Those who refuse to confess their sins will never experience the liberating joy it affords.

GREAT INCREASE 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️📈🆙🔝🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽
📜📜PSALM 105:24-27📜📜
🕔📚🖋️🚻😁🎼🏆🍉🪴🌈💻
🔑📖 Key Verse: "And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies" (Psalm 105:24).
📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖
The children of Israel got to Egypt at the time when Joseph, their brother, was the ruler there. They lived in the best part of the land. They never knew that suffering and pain awaited them in the years to come. Now, they had lived in Egypt for almost 400 years.
Suddenly, life became unbearable. The Egyptians and their king that had lived in peace with them for many years now hated them. Israel began to cry to God in their great trouble and affliction in a strange land.
Surprisingly, in all their pains and suffering, God gave them increase and strength. The children of Israel were thinking that God had forsaken them. But God chose this odd time to bless His people. When we are passing through trouble and pain, we should not always feel that it is because God has rejected us.
Though it is necessary to find out if we have offended God, and sincerely repent, yet the time of lack and pain should not be considered as the worst times of our lives. God, unknown to the children of Israel, was feeling their pains with them, and was planning for their freedom.
Do not think that God has forsaken you and your family because you are passing through a period of lack and difficulties. Tell your problems to Jesus and join your family in prayer to God. Remember, you cannot bear your burden alone. The Lord will increase, strengthen and deliver you even in the time of suffering and pain.

PERFECT PEACE 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽🙌🏽
📜📜TEXT: ISAIAH 26:1-8📜📜
📖 MEMORY VERSE: "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee" (ISAIAH 26:3).
"The world will be safe and secure in its peace only when nations adopt the principles of Christ and play fair within them," says William Pierson Merrill. Nations go into war due to hatred and envy. Also, our minds have a way of spiralling out of control, getting into thoughts of hatred, worry and fear that can take away our peace.
Some people try to find peace in music, movies, immorality, and drug addiction. However, none of these can give true peace. But when we surrender our lives to Christ, through repentance, He will take over and set us free.
Our memory verse says that God will keep us in Perfect Peace. But you have a role to play. One, trust in the Lord with all your heart. Two, avoid worry and fear. Three, fellowship with believers and feed on God's word. Four, pray always, casting all your cares upon God. Five, run your life with God's blue print and not by human philosophy. Six, look unto Jesus.
💬 QUOTE: Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
🏆 CHALLENGE: You can only find peace in the Prince of Peace.

LOYALTY TO THE MASTER 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️✝️🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽
📜📜TEXT: MARK 15:40-47📜📜
🔑📖 KEY VERSE: "Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus" (MARK 15:43).
Chuken Hachiko, the loyal dog, became famous for waiting at Shibuya Station (the same spot where he greets his master) in Tokyo every day for nearly 10 years after his master's death. In the evening, Hachiko stood on four legs at the ticket gate, gazing at each passenger as if searching for someone. His story symbolises loyalty and devotion, and a statue was erected in his honour at the station. Hachiko's tale has touched many hearts worldwide, inspiring movies and books. Japanese school children are taught the story of Hachiko, also known as the loyal dog Hachiko, as an example of devotion and fidelity.
Our passage is an eloquent testament to Joseph of Arimathea's love for Christ, even at His death. His act exemplified the height of passion, commitment, dedication and consecration to Christ and all He stood for. While Joseph may be considered a secret disciple because he was not known among the twelve, and the women in the text, regarded as weaker vessels, they still displayed heart-warming heroism of faith in Christ. Apart from John the Beloved, one of the twelve disciples, all the other disciples abandoned Jesus at His most trying time and eventual crucifixion. Joseph and the women were different. They risked their lives and ensured the Lord of glory was honoured at burial. Boldly, Joseph requested and got the body of Christ from Pilate and decently laid Him in his new tomb.
The opportunity to serve the body of Christ is always there for us all. The head of the church, Jesus Christ, is in heaven, but His body (the Church) is here, awaiting His return. We can show our love and devotion to Him by loving, caring for, and compassionately relating with our fellow brethren. Needy members and even ministers are all around us. Are we touching them? Seeing sick, diseased, infirmed, afflicted, homeless, imprisoned, hungry and naked brethren around us, how much love have we shown?
On the other hand, have we abandoned the bereaved - widows, widowers and orphans? Just how can we prove that we love Jesus? Have we forgotten what He said? Deeds of kindness to any member of the body of Christ are deeds unto Christ, and shall be rewarded. "And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me" (Matthew 25:37-40). We demonstrate our love for Jesus by loving and caring for His body, the Church. What about the other sheep and lamb outside? The time to start is now.
✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Commitment to Christ makes us follow Him to the end.

📜📜GENESIS 37:1-5📜📜
🕔📚🖋️🚻😁🎼🏆🍉🪴🌈💻
🔑📖 Key Verse: "...and Joseph brought unto his father their evil report" (Genesis 37:2c).
📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖
Dina was not doing well in school again. Her parents suspected something must be wrong. Even Dina's class teacher was concerned, as he struggled to keep her awake and to pay attention when the lessons were ongoing. Her mom tried to find out from Dina why she was doing so poorly in her academics, but Dina would not tell the truth.
Little did her parents know that Dina had formed the bad habit of waking up every midnight to watch the TV till around 4 o'clock in the morning. Leslie, Dina's youngest brother, who had been observing Dina's night activities, decided to tell their mother.
Dina covered up her nightly activities. She warned her brothers never to tell their mother. There is a common practice, particularly among children, the attitude of covering up their evil activities, and the bad conduct of their siblings and friends.
They feel telling the truth about their evil deeds will show that they are bad, and that exposing other people's evil actions will cause others to hate and punish them. Joseph was unhappy with his brothers for their bad behaviour. He did not have to hide the ungodly actions of his brothers, but reported them to his father.
Joseph was not afraid of their present hatred towards him. He knew that God would punish him along with his brothers if he helped them to cover up their sins. God warns us against covering our sins (Proverbs 28:13), and that of others. You are to repent and never cover up your sins.

PERSEVERANCE IN TRIALS 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️💪🏽🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🗣️🙏🏽🙌🏽
📜📜TEXT: 1 PETER 1:3-9📜📜
📖 MEMORY VERSE: "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ" (1 PETER 1:7).
B. Simpson says, "Trials and hard places are needed to press us forward, even as the furnace fires in the hold of that mighty ship give force that moves the piston, drives the engine, and propels that great vessel across the sea in the face of the winds and waves."
Our trials should propel us to achievement and fulfilment of our ordained destinies. Trials are unpleasant experiences in life that test the faith of the Christian. They come in different forms, such as sicknesses, persecution, delayed answers to prayers, lack, and failure.
Friend, trials are meant to make us stronger in the faith, deeper in our understanding of God and provide a more holistic approach to our walk with God. Our Lord Jesus also suffered, leaving us an example to follow.
In trials, rejoice and patiently endure. Be grateful that you are suffering like your Master, Jesus and the saints of old. A greater glory awaits you in heaven if you continue in the Lord till the end. That glory is incomparable with the trials we face here on earth.
💬 QUOTE: A greater glory awaits you.

PREACH THE GOSPEL 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️🗣️📢📣🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽
📜📜TEXT: MARK 16:14-20📜📜
🔑📖 KEY VERSE: "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" (MARK 16:15).
The gospel can break chains in prison cells, restore dignity to the ashamed, bring enemies to their knees in reconciliation, and turn the hardest heart into a dwelling place for love. No philosophy, government, or movement in history has changed the world like the message of Christ crucified and risen. It is not just good words or advice; it is good news with the power to convict and convert the souls of men.
In today's text, Christ appeared to the disciples after His resurrection. He upbraided them for their unbelief and charged them to go and preach the gospel. He told them that while some will believe their words, others would not. Those who believe will experience signs and wonders. They shall cast out devils, speak in tongues, take up serpents, be immune to poison and heal the sick. Soon after speaking these words, Christ ascended to heaven and sat on the right hand of God. On earth, the disciples promptly obeyed the Lord's command and put the gospel on the road.
The commission to preach the gospel did not expire with the early Church. It is not reserved for pastors or missionaries alone; it belongs to every follower of Jesus Christ. Regrettably, in a world full of distractions, many believers have gone silent on the gospel. In a culture increasingly hostile to the truth, the tendency is to hide faith behind politeness. But the gospel is not something to be hoarded. It is a lifeline, not a lifestyle brand. When we share the good news, heaven partners with us, just as it did with the apostles.
The burden of prompt obedience lies on every believer concerning spreading the good news. We must not allow other activities, fear or inadequacy to silence our voice. The power of the gospel does not depend on our eloquence, but it flows from our obedience. We are to go, teach and disciple new converts, not through any new idea, but the old, rugged truth embedded in Christ's saving gospel.
✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Every believer goes everywhere with a pulpit; how and how often they use it depends on their commitment.

UNDESERVED GRACE 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️✝️🩸🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽✨😃🙌🏽
📜📜 TITUS 2:11-15 📜📜
🕔📚🖋️🚻😁🎼🏆🍉🪴🌈💻
🔑📖 Key Verse: "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men" (Titus 2:11).
📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖
A Sunday school teacher walked into his class holding a wrapped gift in his hand. He looked at the children and said, "The child who recites the memory verse perfectly will get this gift".
Several kids recited, but the teacher then picked a child who didn't recite it perfectly, and wasn't expecting to be called. The child who got the gift didn't do anything to earn it; that is what is called undeserved grace, it is a gift you didn't earn, but you still received it because of love and compassion.
Grace is the open cheque that God has given to everyone to profit from. The Bearer of this cheque is Jesus Christ. His blood that was shed on the cross is the ink that imprints the name of a repentant soul on the open cheque. The grace of God is the vehicle that transports or brings salvation unto all men.
Sinners who refuse to accept God's grace will regret throughout eternity. The will of God for you is to acknowledge the fact that you do not deserve God's grace and mercy. Then, you go further to repent, deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, live soberly, righteously and godly in this present evil world. This is the only way to enjoy the provision of grace which will also prepare you for the coming of the Lord.

PRAYER LIFE 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🗣️🙏🏽🙌🏽
📜📜TEXT: MATTHEW 6:6-15📜📜
📖 MEMORY VERSE: "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking" (MATTHEW 6:7).
According to D. L. Moody, "Some people think God does not like to be troubled with our constant coming and asking. The way to trouble God is not to come at all." Indeed, God wants His children to communicate with Him, but in a reasonable manner and not repetitively.
If you are in a boarding school in Egypt and you want to phone your father in America to send money to you, and be screaming, "Daddy, send me $8,000...daddy, send me $8,000...", and you do that for about five minutes, your father would think that something was wrong with you.
The quote from D. L. Moody above aptly shows God's desire of man's constant and rich fellowship with Him through prayer. Generally, man has limited resources to meet his unlimited needs.
From our text, our Lord Jesus Christ, who has been with the Father from all eternity, has shown us a pattern of a potent prayer. However, prayer is not a repetitive ritual but a human privileged channel of drawing strength from God sensibly. The potency of your prayer depends on your relationship with God.
💬 QUOTE: Prayer is not a repetitive ritual.
🏆 CHALLENGE: How is your prayer life and relationship with God?

FAITH THAT WORKS 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽✨🙌🏽
📜📜TEXT: ROMANS 10:17-21📜📜
🔑📖 KEY VERSE: "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (ROMANS 10:17).
In 1896, Thomas Edison learnt that the young and aspiring Henry Ford, working in his company, had created an experimental car. Edison met young Henry at the company's party and fired him up with the following words that generated faith in the heart of Ford to pursue his experiment: "Young man, that's the thing! You have it! I think you are on to something! I encourage you to continue your pursuit." That was the fuel of faith that fired the heart of Henry Ford and eventually helped him invent the car that made him famous and wealthy.
In today's text, the Holy Spirit teaches us that saving faith comes by hearing and acting on God's word. It is not enough to hear the Word, like the unbelieving Jews heard, without a corresponding obedient response. We must accompany our hearing of the Word with appropriate action. God's word surpasses any other fuel to generate the faith that works in any dormant heart. Fill the empty tank of your heart daily with the fuel of God's word, and nothing shall be impossible unto you. "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."
A definite way to cultivate the faith that works is by turning the words of Christ into songs and hymns and the psalms into songs. Sing these words and psalms gracefully until you own them. They will not only generate faith, in your heart, but they will inspire faith in the hearts of those hearing you also.
We can become faith warriors and conquerors by deploying God's word to quench Satan's fiery darts of evil and unclean thoughts against our hearts. Like Paul and Silas in the dark dungeon of the Philippian jail, we can turn God's words into prayers and praises, and the foundations of our prisons will begin to quake as all bondages are broken and all limitations overcome.
✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It takes faith and God's word to produce a work of grace.
