🔑📖 Key Verse: "Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God" (Daniel 6:11).

Envy and jealousy can make people do some very wicked and unthinkable things. Daniel lived a righteous life, and because the wicked people could not find any fault in him, they cleverly convinced the king to issue a decree in Babylon, forbidding anyone from praying to any god except to the king, with death being the penalty for disobedience.
In spite of the decree, Daniel, who knew his God, continued his unwavering commitment to God in the secret place of prayer. As expected, he was arrested and thrown into the lion's den. But glory be to our all-powerful God. He intervened and miraculously delivered Daniel from the hungry lions.
This remarkable event led to a national transformation with the entire nation turning to acknowledge and worship the God of Daniel. Unfortunately, while Daniel was being promoted, those who plotted the evil decree were thrown into the same lion's den for the lions to feast on.
When you remain steadfast and true in your ways, seeking the glory of God in all you do, He will always show up for you and deliver you from every harm.

📖 MEMORY VERSE: "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (JOHN 3:3).
Pride is one notable reason why many look down on the greatest gift God has for every human being on earth. Pride is a condition in which a person feels superior to others.
Beauty, position, fame, wealth, talent or education could be examples of what make people to overestimate their importance. Over the centuries, millions of people have rejected the free offer of salvation for their souls because of pride.
Nicodemus was a Jewish ruler, but unlike his fellow self-righteous Pharisees, he put his education and position in the society aside, and ran to Jesus to receive the gift of salvation. He submitted his life to Jesus who is the way, truth and life. The Lord Jesus is pleading: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest".
Friend, is there anything hindering you from coming to Jesus? He only can set you free from sin. If you want to live with God in heaven after your sojourn on earth, you must be born again. Postponing the decision is risky. Come to Jesus today.

🔑📖 KEY VERSE: "Therefore, O Aholibah, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy mind is alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every side" (EZEKIEL 23:22).
Many times, what gets people into trouble are not big but little things. They omit to do what is right. They indulge in little careless or reckless acts, including those they knew spelt disaster for other people. With the passage of time, they become self-confident in their ability to tackle issues their own way. They dismiss pointers in their own lives to things that caused misfortune for others on the hollow belief that 'it cannot happen to me'. In the process, they seal their own misfortune.
Aholibah, or Judah in Israel, had witnessed judgement that came on Samaria (or Aholah) for turning away from God and embracing the nations that did not know the Lord. They were shipped into exile. Instead of learning from God's retribution on evil nations, Judah became more sinful before God. They connived, formed alliances with heathen nations, exposed their treasure to them and served their idols. God paid them in their own coins: He turned their new friends against them, who plundered their wealth and exposed them to shame, humiliation and disgrace.
It is only reasonable to learn from the mistakes of other people and avoid things that brought them down. Where we find that the pursuit of power, wealth and pleasure took them away from God, we must flee from such. The lives of those around us who fell out with God should be a lesson to us to shun their ways. Anything that will lull our minds and dull our sensitivity to sinful enjoyment must be avoided. We must not wait to taste the judgment of God. Anything we must do to live right before God and avoid His rod of punishment must be done now. Mercifully, God gives us grace to live the acceptable life before Him. It is thus up to us to fully tap into that inexhaustible grace and present a commendable portrait of glory and beauty, rooted in His love.

Esther's courage and bravery in the face of trouble and a hopeless situation are inspirations for us to stand up for what is right, even in challenging circumstances.
When Haman decided to wipe out a whole nation because of his hatred for one man - Mordecai, and would stop at nothing to ensure that the wicked thought was passed into a decree which could not be altered, then Esther, Mordecai and all the Jews knew they had to turn to the God of heaven for solution.
The fearful situation of total destruction made them seek the face of God in fasting and prayers for three consecutive days. Having obtained the victory on their knees, Esther went to see the king which was not in accordance to the custom. However, she obtained favour and was able to present her request with godly humility and wisdom.
The plan of wicked Haman failed, while he paid dearly with his own life and the lives of his sons. God is still in the business of turning a seemingly hopeless situation around for the good of His children to show His supremacy over all things. All you need do is to trust Him.

📖 MEMORY VERSE: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father" (JOHN 14:12).
A story was told of a little boy that accompanied his dad to minister in a revival programme. The father, the presiding pastor of a Pentecostal church, preached on faith. He declared to the congregants that all things were possible to the man of faith.
On the way home, acting on the message, the boy declared that a hill by the road side be levelled. The father, either doubting his message or had forgotten what he preached, countered his son that it was not possible for the hill to be physically removed. But the faith of the son worked. Some people came the following day with bulldozers, and levelled the hill to create a new road.
God works by faith. The fearful and unbelieving cannot enjoy and demonstrate Jesus' super power. The power of Christ to heal, save and deliver is incontestable. He has given this power to the Church, including you. The early Church manifested it, so do many minsters of God today. Beloved, you are next on the line; put on the whole armour of God and fight the good fight of faith.

🔑📖 KEY VERSE: "And the kinsman said, I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I mar mine own inheritance: redeem thou my right to thyself; for I cannot redeem it" (RUTH 4:6).
In 1912, as the RMS Titanic sank into icy waters, first-class passenger Benjamin Guggenheim helped women and children into lifeboats. Offered a seat, he refused. Instead, he changed into formal wear, saying, "We are dressed in our best and are prepared to go down like gentlemen." His selflessness became a legacy. He perished, but his honour lived on.
In the text, a nameless kinsman declines his lawful opportunity to redeem his due and marry Ruth. "I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I mar mine own inheritance." He feared the cost, knowing that the first son from that union would carry the name of the deceased, not his (Deuteronomy 25:5, 6). To protect his estate, he stepped aside.
He chose self over sacrifice, and in doing so, stepped out of the divine record. His name was erased from history. Boaz, however, accepted the duty. He embraced what looked like loss. And God engraved his name in glory. Ruth bore Obed, father of Jesse, father of David, forefather of Jesus Christ.
Selfishness always loses. It may preserve a name on earth, but it forfeits eternal honour. The nameless relative wanted to keep his legacy pure, but in trying to save it, he lost it. Boaz gained not just a wife, but also a place of prophecy. Beloved, how often do we shy away from what appears to "mar our inheritance"? We avoid sacrificial obedience because it seems costly. We withhold forgiveness, reject hard assignments, or decline kingdom duties because they do not serve our narrative. But heaven writes history through selfless hands. Your sacrifice may go unnoticed on earth, but eternity will echo your obedience. The path of Boaz is not always paved with applause, but it leads straight to Bethlehem, where the Saviour of the world emerged.
Do not let fear of personal loss rob you of divine honour. The selfish man saved his estate but missed destiny. Boaz gave his name, and God exalted it.
