🌱 Retail investors in Singapore may soon get access to a wider range of fund products. MAS has proposed a more flexible framework that could allow futures-based single-commodity funds and more single-country government bond funds to be offered to retail investors. The move aims to bring innovative fund products to market faster, as investor needs evolve and industry interest grows.
🌱 Temasek is increasing its focus on artificial intelligence across its portfolio and investment strategy. The investment company is helping its portfolio companies adopt AI, making more AI-related investments, and using AI internally to improve investment performance. Temasek plans to grow AI-linked investments from 6% to 15% of its portfolio, after its portfolio value reached a record S$518 billion for the year ended 31 March.
🌱 IHH Healthcare said its hospitals in India and Singapore have been affected by the Middle East conflict. Its India hospitals admitted fewer patients from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, while its Singapore hospitals were also impacted as IHH has long-term contracts with Middle Eastern health authorities for critical cases. IHH is one of the world’s largest private healthcare groups, operating more than 80 hospitals across 10 countries.
🌱 SK Hynix priced its American Depository Receipts at US$149, raising about US$26.5 billion. The strong demand reflects investor appetite for SK Hynix’s role in the AI supply chain, especially as a leading supplier of high-bandwidth memory chips. Broadcom rose 4.8% after expanding its chip supply agreement with Apple, helping support semiconductor stocks despite weakness in major technology names including Microsoft, Alphabet and Meta.

🌱 Temasek reported a record net portfolio value of S$518 billion for FY2025, driven by strong performance from its Singapore portfolio companies and realised gains from key divestments. Temasek delivered a one-year total shareholder return of 10.5%, with net portfolio value increasing by S$49 billion from the previous financial year.
🌱 Singapore Exchange has sold its Scientific Beta subsidiary to STOXX for €23 million as part of its portfolio optimisation strategy. Following the divestment, SGX will retain its iEdge platform and continue to expand its index business as part of its broader multi-asset offering. For SGX's 1HFY2026 ended Dec 2025, net loss attributable to Scientific Beta, including goodwill impairment loss, was around $15 million. Read more here
🌱 AIMS APAC REIT is acquiring two adjoining freehold industrial land plots in Hazelmere, Western Australia, for A$42.7 million. The acquisition is expected to deliver a Year 1 NPI yield of 5.3% and be 0.3% DPU-accretive, and an average accretion of 0.6% over 10 years, assuming full debt funding. The manager said the deal supports AA REIT’s focus on land-rich, income-producing industrial assets, with annual rental escalation of 3.25%.
🌱 US Federal Reserve officials remained concerned about inflation at their June meeting, even as they kept interest rates unchanged. Minutes showed that a few policymakers saw a case for raising rates, while others believed inflation could still move back towards the Fed’s 2% target without further tightening. However, officials noted that price pressures had become more broad-based across goods and services, including transport, air fares, petrochemicals and agricultural inputs.
🌱Foundation Healthcare Holdings said stabilisation manager UBS has purchased 10.9 million shares at between S$0.70 and S$0.76 each, representing about 45% of the shares allocated for price stabilisation. The company's S$242 million IPO was priced at S$0.76 per share and ended its trading debut at S$0.70 after briefly rising to S$0.77.
🌱 Hock Lian Seng expects to report an operating loss for 1H2026, compared with a profit before tax of S$10.0 million a year earlier. The company attributed the weaker performance to higher-than-expected project costs, including materials, labour, transportation and subcontractor expenses, and said this is expected to negatively affect its FY2026 results.
🌱 Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums rose across all categories in the first bidding exercise for July, with Category A reaching a record high of S$129,000. Industry observers attributed the increase to the longer-than-usual gap between bidding exercises, strong demand ahead of changes to electric vehicle incentives, and uncertainty over the future of the COE system.

US stocks ended lower on Tuesday, with the Nasdaq leading declines as renewed concerns over the sustainability of the AI-driven rally weighed on semiconductor stocks. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell 4.7%, led by losses in Micron and Sandisk, after Samsung Electronics' earnings failed to meet elevated investor expectations. Eight of the 11 S&P 500 sector indexes declined, led lower by industrials, down 3.41 per cent, followed by a 2.45 per cent loss in materials.

🌱 Singapore will more than double its investment in transport and connectivity research to S$800 million over the next five years. The funding will support new technologies that could transform the sector, such as automated MRT depots, AI-enabled air traffic management and smart port networks using digital twins. Acting Transport Minister Jeffrey Siow said this is part of Singapore’s strategy to stay globally connected amid geopolitical uncertainty and rapid technological change.
🌱 A growing number of Singapore companies are deploying agentic AI, but weak data infrastructure remains a key hurdle to adoption. A Confluent survey found that 73% of IT leaders said their agentic AI projects had stalled, while 95% cited data infrastructure and quality issues as major challenges to scaling the technology.
🌱 ESR-REIT has proposed to acquire five freehold logistics properties in Melbourne for A$276.8 million (S$247.9 million), representing a 1.9% discount to their market valuation. The acquisition is expected to be 4.3% DPU accretive on a pro forma basis. The portfolio has a 90% occupancy rate and a weighted average lease expiry of 3.2 years.
🌱 Foundation Healthcare Holdings's IPO was about 3.8 times subscribed, with the Singapore public offer receiving applications for more than 86.98 million shares against 9.21 million shares available. The shares were priced at S$0.76 each, below the bookbuilding range of up to S$0.92, while the international tranche attracted demand for 531.7 million shares versus 153.36 million shares offered.
🌱 Carousell turned EBITDA-positive in FY2025, supported by stronger revenue growth. Revenue rose 18% to US$141 million, almost triple its FY2021 level. Growth was led by its recommerce segment, where revenue increased about 40% and accounted for 45% of total revenue.
🌱 Beng Kuang Marine said its subsidiary, Asian Sealand Offshore & Marine, secured S$85.2 million in contracts during 1H2026. The new awards include two purchase orders worth about US$28.6 million for FPSO tank services on vessels operating in West Africa, formalising previously announced lifecycle mandate renewals.

Grab said the change comes as it continues working to complete its proposed acquisition of foodpanda’s Taiwan business.
🌱 Moody’s expects private credit fundraising and deployment in Asia-Pacific to slow over the next 12 to 18 months amid macroeconomic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions and elevated interest rates. Despite near-term headwinds, the ratings agency expects underlying demand for private credit in the region to remain supported by economic growth and banks’ retreat from riskier lending.
