In Suwayda, the Druze community has entered a new phase in its process of de facto self-governance. Hikmat al-Hijri, a prominent Druze figure, announced the dissolution of the Legal Committee, which had been established as part of the transition process. El-Hijri announced that a new Executive Council would be established to assume executive powers, replacing the current structure.
