China Sends 38 Jets Over Taiwan On Thursday
Taiwan's Defense Ministry reported that China sent thirty-eight warplanes, seven warships, and four Coast Guard vessels near Taiwan on Thursday.
The warplanes included Su-30 and Yan-8. Twenty-eight planes breached Taiwan's early-warning zone in the north and southwest.
Adding to the growing concern, China's military actions were not isolated incidents. The day before, twenty-eight warplanes were sent, with eighteen of them crossing the Median Line, according to the ministry.

World Avoids Disastrous “Pandemic Treaty” – For Now
The #pandemic treaty would have created a massive new bureaucracy funded by #WHO member states but unaccountable to voters in those countries. Far from a democratic system, it would resemble a socialist institution with one leader at the top – the WHO Director-General – having the final say over everything. (…)
The WHO Director-General would, if the treaty were in place, be responsible for overseeing the transfer of proprietary #medical technologies from one country to another in the event of a “potential” or “intermediate” public health emergency. He would also be in charge of directing the global supply chain for “pandemic products” – in effect creating a global socialist command economy whenever the WHO declares something to be a “health emergency.”
In Article 18 of the latest draft treaty, the WHO also lays the foundation for what is effectively a new worldwide system of #censorship and #propaganda. It gives the WHO power to dictate to world governments how to stifle free speech by “countering” dissenting views by labeling them “misinformation” or “disinformation.” (…)
Retired lawyer Professor Gerrit Hoedemakers, who advised the Dutch Health Ministry in the early 1990s, described the draft treaty as “a cross between Orwell’s 1984 and Thomas More’s Utopia.” He expressed concern about the broad powers it outlines, leaving the WHO as the sole authority on certain issues at times. “The gaps left for interpretation make it even more dangerous,” he said. Russia Receives Drone-Fired Glide Bombs From Iran, A Footage Shows
A German military analyst spotted the latest Qaem-5 guided aerial bomb attached to the wreckage of a Mohajer-6 drone in the Russian region of Kursk.
Moscow’s forces have extensively used the Iranian-made unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to carry out surveillance, but this is the first time the Qaem-5 bomb has been seen during the war in Ukraine.
The drone was believed to have been preparing to carry out an attack on the Ukrainian frontier region of Sumy before it mysteriously crashed in a field on the Russian side of the border.
The glide bombs can clearly be seen attached to the wings of the UAV in a video released on Russian social media channels.
Iran has repeatedly denied backing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, despite supplying Shahed kamikaze drones, artillery and tank ammunition.

Oil Slightly Down
Oil prices were slightly down on Thursday as the markets await U.S. crude oil stockpiles data, though resilient U.S. economic activity pointed to borrowing costs staying higher for longer in a potential blow to demand.
Brent futures dipped 0.05 per cent to $83.56 a barrel.
While U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude eased 0.13 per cent to $79.13.
“The broader risk-off environment has translated to some downward pressures on oil prices, which overrides the larger-than-expected drawdown in U.S. crude inventories from the recent API data,” said Yeap Jun Rong, market strategist at IG.

N. Korea Fires Around Ten Missiles into East Sea, South Says
North Korea fired around ten short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea on Thursday, the South Korean military said, a day after sending hundreds of large balloons carrying trash and manure into the South.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said it detected the flight vehicles presumed to be short-range ballistic missiles fired from the Sunan area in Pyongyang at 6:14 a.m. local time toward the East Sea. It did not provide further details as an analysis is currently under way.
"Our military has strengthened monitoring and vigilance against additional launches, while closely sharing information related to North Korean ballistic missiles with the U.S. and Japanese authorities," the JCS said in a text message to reporters.

Arabic Media Prevent Criticism Of Hamas, A Prominent Iraqi Journalist Says
In the coverage of the Gaza war, Arab media fails to provide objective reporting. Instead, it often presents illusions that are far removed from reality, It even echoes Hamas' claim of defeating the Israeli army, as stated by a prominent Iraqi journalist in his essay for the popular Elaph website.
Former Chief Editor of the daily Al-Sabah, Falah Al-Mash'al, criticized the Arab channels for their refusal to examine Hamas' responsibility for the war, which is causing significant harm to the Palestinian people.
“The Arab television and satellite channels preoccupy themselves with talk about the victories of Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the heroic operations of these movements, and about the crushing of the Israeli army and its imminent surrender”, Mr. Al-Mash'al said in his article.
“The Arab media is still afraid to examine itself and to objectively face reality… “, Mr. Al-Mash'al claimed. “After the events in Gaza, it began to treat Hamas as a complete saint, almost like the Holy Spirit, while ignoring the criminal deaths, whose number grows from day to day but which are ignored because they constantly recur!”, he stressed.
MEMRI, a think-tank monitoring the Middle East, first reported the journalist’s statements.
Mr. Al-Mashal concluded that the typical approach in Arab media is to avoid serious discussion of the "foundation of the Palestinian issue," opting instead for an emotional outburst.
