There are some misunderstandings about how and when lactose tolerance (lactase persistence) developed among Europeans. So here is a quick thread to simplify and summarise what is currently known. -Yamnaya did NOT invent dairying. Dairying began in the Near East and was practiced in Neolithic Europe too. -Yamnaya and related herders were the first population to develop lactase persistence (adult ability to digest raw milk) over 5000 years ago BUT other people still consumed dairy products anyway! -Even the Yamnaya were MOSTLY lactose intolerant! But nearly all samples tested showed evidence for dairy consumption. -They didn't just drink raw milk, they ate cheese and yoghurt which is easier for lactose intolerant people to digest -Most of the milk they used did NOT come from cows but rather sheep and they even milked their horses too -SO when did Europeans become so lactose tolerant? I've spent a fair amount of time in the cafes, restaurants, sports clubs and expat meetups of former Soviet Union states over the last couple of years. If you spend time asking what expats are doing for work, checking their socials or ear dropping nearby conversations, you'll soon notice a trend of Anglos working for government departments and NGOs spreading gay liberalism professionally. Recently in Georgia, I overheard one softly spoken Anglo official being very critical of the Church, discussing feminist and gay liberation initiatives with some man bun hippy in a cafe. I've even heard Anglo officials say that they're "retraining Ukrainian priests" in Moldova. Of course you also come across a number of Jews too, but they're usually in the Refugees Welcome arena. In the Balkans, the locals often assume you're a spook if you're an Anglo. You can't understand history or politics without understanding liberal Anglo imperialism and its tenets.
