✒️Warm vs. Cold Currents
⭐Currents moving from the Equator to the Poles are Warm (e.g., Gulf Stream, Kuroshio Current). They bring rain and milder winters to coastal areas.
⭐Currents moving from the Poles to the Equator are Cold (e.g., Canary Current, Peru/Humbolt Current).

𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 never form directly on the Equator (𝟬 𝘁𝗼 𝟱). Even though equatorial waters are incredibly warm, the Coriolis force is zero at the equator, which prevents the incoming winds from deflecting and forming the necessary low-pressure vortex.
