GOOD NEWS OF ALLĀH'S SUPPORT FOR THE BELIEVERS WHO ADHERE TO THE SUNNAH OF THE MESSENGER (ﷺ) ALLĀH said, يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ حَسْبُكَ اللّهُ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْمُوْمِنِينَ O Prophet, sufficient for you is ALLĀH and for whoever follows you of the believers. That is, HE will take care of you and your followers among the believers. This is a promise from ALLĀH to HIS believing slaves who follow HIS Messenger (ﷺ), that HE will suffice them and support them against their enemies. Therefore if they take proper measures, namely believing and following the Prophet (ﷺ), then HE will inevitably suffice them with regard to that which concerns them of both spiritual and worldly matters. That support is not granted only when its conditions are not met. {Tafsi‌r As-Sa'di}

THE COMMAND TO ASK ALLĀH OF HIS FAVORS ALLĀH said, وَاسْأَلُواْ اللّهَ مِن فَضْلِهِ And ask ALLĀH of HIS Bounty. That is, for everything that has to do with your religious or worldly affairs. Doing so is a sign of wisdom and of being blessed, in contrast to the one who fails to strive or relies on himself, not acknowledging his need of his Lord; or those who do both, in which case they are forsaken and are losers. {Tafsi‌r As-Sa'di} The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Let each one of you ask his Lord for his every need, even he should ask HIM for salt, and ask HIM for the strap of his sandal when it breaks." {At-Tirmidhi #3604} The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) said, "Whoever never asks from ALLĀH, HE will be angry with him." {Al-Tirmidhi‌ #3373} http://bio.link/albaseerah

THE TIME LIMIT FOR SHAVING THE PUBIC HAIR It was narrated that Anas ibn Malik (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) said: "A time limit was set for us for trimming the moustache, cutting the nails, plucking the armpit hairs and shaving the pubic hair: that was not to be left for more than forty nights." {Muslim #258} An-Nawawi (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) commented: As for the time for shaving the pubic hair, the best is to do that when it is needed and the hair has grown long, so when it becomes long, it should be shaved. The same guideline applies to trimming the moustache, plucking the armpit hairs and cutting the nails. Regarding the hadith of Anas that is mentioned in the book – "A time limit was set for us for trimming the moustache, cutting the nails, plucking the armpit hairs and shaving the pubic hair: that was not to be left for more than forty nights" – what it means is: These things should not be left beyond the forty-day deadline; it does not mean that they may be left untouched for forty nights. And ALLĀH knows best. The phrase "A time limit was set for us" come under the heading of marfu hadiths, like the words "We were instructed to do such and such." It was narrated somewhere other than in Sahih Muslim: The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) set a time limit for us. And ALLĀH knows best. 📚 Sharh Sahih Muslim (3/148-149, 150) http://bio.link/albaseerah

BE MINDFUL OF ALLĀH, HE WILL PROTECT YOU On the authority of Abu Abbas Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: One day I was behind the Prophet ﷺ [riding on the same mount] and he said, “O young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice]: Be mindful of ALLĀH and ALLĀH will protect you. Be mindful of ALLĀH and you will find HIM in front of you. If you ask, then ask ALLĀH [alone]; and if you seek help, then seek help from ALLĀH [alone]. And know that if the nation were to gather together to benefit you with anything, they would not benefit you except with what ALLĀH had already prescribed for you. And if they were to gather together to harm you with anything, they would not harm you except with what ALLĀH had already prescribed against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried.” It was related by at-Tirmidhi, who said it was a good and sound hadeeth. Another narration, other than that of Tirmidhi, reads: “Be mindful of ALLĀH, and you will find HIM in front of you. Recognize and acknowledge ALLĀH in times of ease and prosperity, and HE will remember you in times of adversity. And know that what has passed you by [and you have failed to attain] was not going to befall you, and what has befallen you was not going to pass you by. And know that victory comes with patience, relief with affliction, and hardship with ease.” {40 Hadith an-Nawawi: Hadith 19} This hadith imparts the wisdom of leading a tranquil and joyous life through mindfulness of ALLĀH, complete trust in HIM, and devoted worship. Embracing a positive outlook on qadar liberates us from the burdens of constant worry about the future or repercussions of our choices, as we earnestly fulfill ALLĀH'S obligations and gracefully accept HIS divine will. @alBaseeroh

ALLĀH IS THE BELIEVERS' GUARDIAN; WHAT AN EXCELLENT GUARDIAN! ALLĀH says: قُل لَّن يُصِيبَنَآ إِلَّا مَا كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَنَا Say, Nothing will ever befall us except what ALLĀH has destined for us. That is, what HE decreed and wrote in al-Lawh al-Mahfūdh. هُوَ مَوۡلَانَا HE is our Protector. That is, HE is in charge of our affairs both religious and worldly, so we must accept HIS decree, for we have no control over anything. وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلۡيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ So in ALLĀH let the believers put their trust. That is, let them rely on HIM to bring that which is in their best interests and ward off harm from them, and let them trust HIM to help them attain what they want, for the one who puts his trust in HIM will never be disappointed. As for the one who puts his trust in anyone other than HIM, he will indeed be disappointed and will not attain what he hopes for. {Tafsi‌r As-Sa'di}

PRICE FOR TRUE LOVE Questioner: Someone who loves a person for the sake of ALLĀH, must he say, "I love you for the sake of ALLĀH," to him? Sheikh Al-Albāni: Yes, but loving for the sake of ALLĀH has a huge price, only very few people pay it. Do you know what the price for loving someone for ALLĀH’s sake is? Do any of you know the price? Someone present: The Most High said, وَٱلۡعَصۡرِ ۞ إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ لَفِی خُسۡرٍ ۞ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوۡا۟ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوۡا۟ بِٱلصَّبۡرِ By Time! Indeed, mankind is in loss. Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience. (Al-Asr: 1-3) Sheikh Al-Albāni: Well done. That is the answer. And an explanation of that is that if I really love you for the sake of ALLĀH I would persist in advising you, and you would do the same. Persevering in advising one another is very rare between those who claim to love each other, this love might have some sincerity in it, but it is not complete, because we try to make an allowance for the other, afraid that the other person will become angry, that he will flee … and so on. It is in light of this that ˹you can see that˺ the cost of loving someone for the sake of ALLĀH is that each person shows sincerity towards the other by advising him, always and forever telling him to do good and preventing him from bad—he is more constant in advising him than that person’s own shadow is close—for this reason it has been authentically reported that when parting from one another, one of the habits of the Companions was that one of them would read to the other, وَٱلۡعَصۡرِ ۞ إِنَّ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ لَفِی خُسۡرٍ ۞ إِلَّا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوۡا۟ بِٱلۡحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوۡا۟ بِٱلصَّبۡرِ By Time! Indeed, mankind is in loss. Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience. THE COMMAND TO WORSHIP ALLĀH ALONE AND BE GRATEFUL FOR GUIDANCE ALLĀH says, بَلِ ٱللَّهَ فَٱعۡبُدۡ Rather, worship ALLĀH ˹Alone˺ That is, devote your worship to HIM alone, with no partner or associate وَكُن مِّنَ ٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ and be among the grateful for HIS guidance. Just as ALLĀH is to be thanked for worldly blessings, such as physical good health and well-being, granting provision, and so on, HE is also to be thanked and praised for spiritual blessings, such as enabling one to be sincere and to fear HIM. In fact it is spiritual blessings that are real blessings. Pondering and realising that they come from ALLĀH and giving thanks to HIM for them will protect one from self-admiration that affects many people who strive hard, because of their ignorance. Otherwise, if a person were to understand the reality of things, he would not develop self-admiration because of the blessing which requires him to give more thanks to ALLĀH. {Tafsi‌r As-Sa'di}

PROHIBITING UNFOUNDED SUSPICION ALLĀH says, يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ امَنُوا اجْتَنِبُوا كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الظَّنِّ O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion ALLĀH forbids suspicion in most cases, and thinking ill of the believers, because إِنَّ بَعْضَ الظَّنِّ إِثْمٌ indeed some suspicion is sin. Examples include suspicion that is not based on facts and evidence, and thinking ill of a person, which usually leads to saying and doing many things that are prohibited. That is because harbouring bad thoughts does not usually stop there; rather the bad thoughts persist until one says or does something that is not appropriate. That also includes thinking ill of a Muslim, hating him and showing enmity towards him. What is enjoined is the opposite of that. Do not spy on one another that is, do not seek out the faults of the Muslims. Leave the Muslim alone and pay no attention to his private affairs which, if they were to be investigated, there would appear of them that which is not appropriate. — Tafsir As-Sa'di

REMINDER: FASTING AL-AYYĀM AL-BĪD (THE WHITE DAYS) FOR SAFAR 1448AH The white days of the month refer to the 13th, 14th, and 15th of each lunar month. The moon is at its fullest and most luminous during this period. Fasting on these days is sunnah, mentioned in various hadith. Abu Dharr said: The Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ said to me: "If you fast any part of the month, then fast the 13th, 14th, and 15th." {An-Nasai #2424} Abdullāh ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As said: The Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ said to me: "It is sufficient for you to fast three days every month because, for every good deed, you will have ˹the reward of˺ ten like it, so that will be like fasting for a lifetime." {Al-Bukhārī #1874} Abu Hurayrah said: "My close friend (the Prophet ﷺ) advised me to do three things which I will not give up until I die: fasting three days of each month, praying Duha, and sleeping after Witr." {Muslim #721} FASTING DATES: 28th (Tuesday), 29th (Wednesday) and 30th (Thursday) of July in Nigeria and South Africa And, 27th (Monday), 28th (Tuesday) and 29th (Wednesday) of July Saudi Arabia. THE BLISS OF THE PEOPLE OF JANNAH (PARADISE) Ibn al-Qayyim (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said: "When the people of Jannah will reunite, they will remember all the times they spoke about Jannah in this world. They'll look back and laugh, at how short life was, and then smile, because beautiful is their final abode. The people of Jannah will have all that they desire. One step into Jannah and they will remember no pain. They will say they never suffered, they will say they never cried. A dip in Jannah. Oh how much we long for that moment. The moment where we reunite, we hug our loved ones once again. We forget about all the pain, and thank ALLĀH for all the tests! How strange does it seem, that these tests which weigh a ton on our chest today will one day elevate us. Elevate us so high, that we will thank ALLĀH. We will thank HIM for testing us, for loving us and for giving us more than anyone could imagine. A place of eternity, vast, beautiful, peaceful. Everything one can desire. Be patient, oh beautiful slaves of ALLĀH, for our Lord is more Merciful than a mother is to her child." 📚 Al-Fawā-id (pg. 119) https://t.me/ibnulqayyem http://bio.link/albaseerah

THE COMMAND TO BE STEADFAST ALLĀH says, فَاصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ Be patient! Indeed, the promise of ALLĀH is truth. That is, there is no doubt concerning it. This is something that should help one to be patient, for if he knows that his effort will not be wasted and he will in fact find it rewarded in full, what he encounters of hardship will become insignificant, and it will become easier for him to bear every difficulty. وَلَا يَسْتَخِفَّنَّكَ الَّذِينَ لَا يُوقِنُونَ Do not let those who lack certainty of faith discourage you. That is, their faith is weak and their certainty is lacking, therefore they are lacking in reason and patience. So beware lest they discourage you, for if you are not cautious and do not take precautions, they will discourage you and cause you to not be steadfast in adhering to the commands and prohibitions, and your own inclinations may help them in that, because one may be inclined to be like them and be in agreement with them. {Tafsi‌r As-Sa'di}

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MANIY, MADHIY, AND WADIY AND THEIR RULINGS Shaykh Ibn 'Uthaymin (may Allah have mercy on him) said, "The difference between maniy and madhiy is that MANIY is thick and has a smell; it gushes out in spurts when desire is intense. As for MADHIY, it is a thin liquid that does not smell like maniy; it does not gush out, and it is not emitted when desire is intense; rather it is emitted after desire cools down, and when it cools down, the man becomes aware of it. As for WADIY, it is a liquid that is emitted after urinating; it is white drops that come when one has finished urinating. This has to do with the nature of these three things. With regard to the rulings on them, WADIY comes under the same rulings as urine in every regard. MADHIY differs somewhat from urine in the way in which the individual purifies himself from it, because its impurity (najasah) is milder; therefore it is sufficient to sprinkle water on it, which means making the water reach everywhere it got onto, without the need to wring out the garment or rubs it. Similarly, he must wash his entire penis and testicle, even if it did not get onto them. As for MANIY, it is pure (tahir) and it is not required to wash whatever it got onto, except by way of removing its traces only, and it necessitates ghusl. As for MADHIY, WADIY and URINE, they all necessitate wudu." 📚 Majmu' Fatāwā Ibn 'Uthaymin (11/169) https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbCkXG6HrDZeu5zvIA1A http://bio.link/albaseerah

ETIQUETTES OF SUPPLICATING TO ALLĀH ALLĀH said, وَادْعُوهُ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا And call upon HIM with fear and hope That is, fear of HIS punishment and hope of HIS reward, hoping that one’s deeds will be accepted and fearing that they will be rejected, not offering supplication in the manner of one who thinks that he is entitled to a response from his Lord, filled with self-admiration and raising himself above his station, or in the manner of one who is heedless and not focusing. To sum up, the etiquette of supplication as mentioned in this verse is that one should be sincere in calling upon ALLĀH alone, which is indicated by offering supplication in private, concealing and hiding it. There should be both fear and hope, with no heedlessness, complacency or not caring about the response. This is part of offering supplication in the proper manner, because doing every act of worship properly means striving one’s best and doing it in a perfect manner with no shortcomings in any way. {Tafsi‌r As-Sa'di}

SUMMARY OF THE PROPHET'S HIJRAH (2/7) 2️⃣. The Prophet Leaves for Madīnah The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) came to Abu Bakr (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) around midday at a time when he did not usually come to him while concealing himself, and said to him: "Get those who are with you out." Abu Bakr said: "They are only you family, O Messenger of ALLĀH." He (ﷺ) said: "ALLĀH has granted me permission to leave." Abu Bakr said: "Companionship, O Messenger of ALLĀH?" The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) said: "Yes." Abu Bakr said: "May my father and mother be sacrificed for you! Then take one of these two riding camels of mine." The Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) said: "For a price." He (ﷺ) ordered 'Ali (may ALLĀH be pleased with him) to sleep in his bed that night. Meanwhile, the group from Quraysh gathered, watching through the crack of the door and lying in wait for him, intending to attack him during the night while deciding which of them would carry out the deed. Then the Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ) came out to them, took a handful of sand from the open ground, and threw it over their heads while they could not see him, reciting: وَجَعَلۡنَا مِنۢ بَيۡنِ أَيۡدِيهِمۡ سَدًّا وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِهِمۡ سَدًّا فَأَغۡشَيۡنَٰهُمۡ فَهُمۡ لَا يُبۡصِرُونَ And WE placed before them a barrier and behind them a barrier, so We covered them, and they could not see. (36:9) Then the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ then proceeded to Abu Bakr's house. The two of them left at night through a small rear opening in Abu Bakr's house. A man came and saw the people gathered at the Prophet's door and asked: "What are you waiting for?" They replied: "Muhammad." He said: "You have failed and lost! By ALLĀH, he has passed by you and thrown dust over your heads." They said: "By ALLĀH, we did not see him." And they got up brushing the dust off their heads. Those present included Abu Jahl, Al-Hakam ibn Al-'As, 'Uqbah ibn Abi Mu'ayt, An-Nadr ibn Al-Harith, Umayyah ibn Khalaf, Zam'ah ibn Al-Aswad, Tu'aymah ibn 'Adi, Abu Lahab, Ubayy ibn Khalaf, and Nubayh and Munabbih, the sons of Al-Hajjaj. When morning came, 'Ali got up from the bed. They asked him about the Messenger of ALLĀH (ﷺ). He said: "I have no knowledge of him." The Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ and Abu Bakr then travelled to the Cave of Thawr and entered it. A spider spun its web over the entrance of the cave. They had hired 'Abdullāh bin Uraiquit Al-Laythi, an expert guide who knew the routes well. Although he was still upon the religion of his people, they trusted him with this task and entrusted their two camels to him. They arranged to meet him at the Cave of Thawr after three days... 📚 Zād al-Ma'ād (3/63-64) Translation: AlBaseerah Institute https://t.me/prophetic_Seerah http://bio.link/albaseerah

THE COMMAND TO DIRECT ALL ACTS OF WORSHIP SOLELY TO ALLĀH ALLĀH says فَلَا تَجۡعَلُواْ لِلَّهِ أَندَادًا So do not set up rivals to ALLĀH, That is, equals from among HIS creation which you worship as you should worship ALLĀH and love as you should love ALLĀH, although they are created beings like you who receive provision and are under HIS control, having not the slightest power either in heaven or on earth, and they cannot benefit or harm you at all. وَأَنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ when you know better. That is, when you know that ALLĀH has no partner or equal with regard to the power of creation, granting of provision or control of the universe, and HE has no partner in worship. So how can you worship other gods besides HIM when you know these things? This is something that is very strange and extremely foolish. {Tafsi‌r Ibn Kathīr}

INVOCATION UPON THE MESSENGER OF ALLĀH ﷺ ON FRIDAY It was narrated that Aws ibn Aws said: The Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ said: "One of the best of your days is Friday. On it, Adam was created and on it he died. On it the Trumpet will be blown and on it all of creation will swoon. So send a great deal of blessings upon me on that day, for your blessings will be shown to me." They said: O Messenger of ALLĀH, how will our blessings upon you be shown to you when you have turned to dust? He ﷺ said: "ALLĀH has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the Prophets." {Abu Dawūd #1047} The points which are to be understood from the above hadeeth are: 1⃣ The bodies of Prophets never become decayed, because the earth cannot consume them; 2⃣ They are alive in their graves but not in the same sense as they were in this world. The correct creed is, that Muslims must believe that the Prophets are alive, but what kind of life they live is unknown, and we are not to inquire about it; 3⃣ There is no evidence which can prove that they hear the speech and salutations made to them directly. However, what is clearly mentioned in the hadeeth is, that ALLĀH has appointed the angels to collect the speech and salutations from the people, and bring it to the Messenger of ALLĀH As the following hadeeth explains, It is reported that the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ said: "ALLĀH has angels who travel about in the earth and convey to me greetings from my people." {Nasā'i #1282} It is the duty of the angels to carry the invocations of the people to the Messenger of ALLĀH. Therefore, there is no need for anyone to go to the grave of the Messenger of ALLĀH. In fact, the Messenger of ALLĀH disliked gatherings being made at his grave, as it is mentioned in the hadeeth, Abu Hurayrah reported that he had heard the Messenger of ALLĀH ﷺ say, "Do not turn your houses into graves, and do not make my grave a place to gather for visitation, but invoke blessings upon me, for your blessing will reach me wherever you are." {Abu Dawūd #2044} 📚 Etiquettes of a Muslim on Friday (pp. 23-24) http://bio.link/albaseerah

THE MOST HARMFUL AFFAIR UPON A STUDENT OF KNOWLEDGE Shaykh Ibn Uthaymīn (may ALLĀH have mercy on him) said: "...this Is the most harmful of them upon a student of knowledge: That he has no concern except pursuing people's statements with he said this and he said that and with what occurred and what is taking place regarding an issue that is of no concern to him. And there is no doubt that this is from a weakness of ˹his˺ Islām, since the Prophet ﷺ said: Part of a person's good Islām is to leave alone that which does not concern him. (Ibn Mājah) And busying oneself with qila wa qala (they said and he said) and excessive questioning are time-wasters. And it is, in reality, a disease which, when it comes into man – we ask ALLĀH for well-being – it becomes his greatest concern. Due to this, he may even sometimes show enmity to one who does not deserve enmity, or show allegiance to one who does not deserve allegiance, because of concerning himself with these issues which pre-occupy him away from knowledge, under the pretext of 'championing the truth', whilst this is not the case! Rather, this is part of pre-occupying oneself with an issue that does not concern him. If, however, a report comes to you without you having pursued or sought it, then all people receive news, but they do not busy themselves with it, nor does it become their greatest concern. This is because this pre-occupies the student of knowledge, corrupts his affair; and opens up for the Ummah the door of bigoted partisanship (hizbiyyah), which then splits the Ummah." 📚 Kitābul 'Ilm (pp. 204-205) https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbCkXG6HrDZeu5zvIA1A http://bio.link/albaseerah
