| 2 | In the United States, there is an extensive war elite that actively seeks to initiate military conflicts in order to direct them and profit from them. Because the war economy (weapons and narcotics) is as important as the world’s oil economy, American covert forces can play a central role in calibrating the level of violence in different regions in order to generate hundreds of billions of dollars in profits through arms and drug trafficking.
In some cases, the American strategy for prolonging a war is to support both sides of the conflict. But beyond the objective of making economic profits from war, this strategy also has a deeper geopolitical goal: to defend the U.S.-dominated unipolar world order against economic multipolarity and the growing influence of its major rivals. America’s superior military power and intelligence hegemony can only be transformed into real global power and influence if there are ongoing conflicts—wars and terrorist attacks—that threaten the multipolar balance of power in the global economic and political order.

”Most Americans believe that they have always stood on the side of the anti-fascists. But that is not true. In reality, America’s industrial elite served both the anti-fascists and the fascists. The media downplayed the Holocaust, and the Nazis received financial and ideological support from the United States.”

| 4 | The Western world likes to believe—and convince itself—that it learned from the illegal Iraq War that such a war could never be repeated, that it would recognize if something similar were about to happen again, and that it should not be possible for such an event to occur so easily a second time.
However, this is precisely what happened in Libya, where the entire Western world accepted a series of falsehoods and constructed an image of the situation that was based on fantasy. This narrative filled the democratic populations of the West—who, according to the text, had failed to learn a proper lesson from the Iraq War—with strong emotions and a willingness to accept that several Western countries participated in what the text describes as an illegal and conspiratorial war against the Anglo-American Empire’s enemy and Africa’s hero, Gaddafi.

As he also points out, ”Although the crime of aggression has been recognized in international law since 1945, there is still no jurisdiction over” what he describes as ”the supreme crime.” This is because the powerful nations, for obvious reasons, have delayed its implementation.
