"During a solar or lunar eclipse, all satsangis should discontinue all activities and engage in Bhagwan’s bhajan. During that time, one should not sleep or eat, but sit in one place to sing kirtans dedicated to Bhagwan and undertake other forms of devotion until the eclipse is over (Satsang Diksha 264-265)."

On the auspicious day of Ekadashi, August 21, for the first time, Swamishri performed his morning puja at Edison Mandir. In his blessings, Swamishri said, “We have given our wealth, homes and families for God and his sadhu so our lives have also become fulfilled...the mandir is ready so all should attend, take part take part and give motivation to others.

On August 21, as Swamishri left the mandir, he wished to go the Middlesex County College again (the CFI location). From the car, he showed his reverence to the different areas by saying, “Jay to the parking lot! Jay to the trailer! You have given us so much happiness this past month. Jay to the college! Jay Swaminarayan to all! We wish this college well for giving us the land to do CFI. We pray that those who attend this college study well and that their lives are uplifted and filled with happiness.” While leaving the site, Swamishri took a final glance at MCC, and again said the whole jaynaad with the addition of “Jay to Middlesex County!”

Through dynamic dramas ✨, inspiring speeches 📢, vibrant dances 🪩, and the recitation of Satsang Diksha shlokas 🎶, 79 balikas enthusiastically participated to showcase both their impressive talents and dedication! ⭐️

સી.એફ.આઈ.ની સમાપ્તિ પછી એક અઠવાડિયા સુધી સર્વે સંતો-ભક્તોએ વાઈડની સેવામાં જોડાઈ, સ્વામીશ્રી રોજ તેમની વચ્ચે રોકાતા. આ સેવામાં મુક્તાનંદ સ્વામી પણ કચરો વીણવાની સેવામાં જોડાયેલા. કાંટા-ઝાંખરામાં ફસાઈ ગયેલા કચરો મુક્તાનંદ સ્વામીના હાથે નાળાંથી કાઢ્યો હતો. ગુણાતીત ગુરુ સાચા આદર્શ સેવક!

As CFI came to a close, santo and devotees spent one week clearing the site. Every day, Swamishri would be amongst the devotees performing service. Even Mahant Swami helped with cleaning and picking up trash. He would reach into thick and thorny bushes to remove cans and other litter. The Gunatit Gurus! They are true examples of the ideal servant.

ઓગસ્ટ ૮ના મંગળ દિને સદ્ગુરુ સંતો, બસોથી વધારે સંતો અને હજારો ભક્તોની હાજરીમાં “અક્ષરપુરુષોત્તમ મહારાજ”ની સ્વામીશ્રીએ પ્રતિષ્ઠા કરી. પ્રતિષ્ઠાના આશીર્વચનમાં સ્વામીશ્રી કહે, “આ મંદિર સંસ્કૃતિનું ધામ બનશે. આનાથી શાંતિ પણ મળશે. આજે દુનિયાને આ સંસ્કૃતિની જરૂર છે, એટલા માટે આ મંદિરો કરીએ છીએ. આજે મંદિરમાં ઠાકોરજી બેઠા. આ એમનું ઘર થયું. એના માટે જેટલું કરીશું એટલું આગળ કામ લાગશે. એટલું જ આપણી સાથે છે...”

On August 8, 1991, the Murti Pratishtha Mahotsav of Edison Mandir was celebrated with great fanfare in the presence of Swamishri, over 200 santo, and thousands of devotees. In his blessings, Swamishri said, “This mandir will be the epicenter of sanskruti (culture). People will attain peace by coming here. These values are needed more than ever in today’s world and this is why we build such mandirs. Today, God has resided in this mandir and now it is his home. Therefore, whatever we do for the mandir will be of invaluable worth. Only what we do here will stay with us…”
