Some people when you care for them value them and treat them as if they’re special don’t think“You’re a kind cool and amazing person!” Instead all they think about is how amazing they themselves must be 🙌🙃 People are kind patient and considerate toward you because they have good hearts and treat you with love despite your flaws not because you’re perfect or some extraordinary being 🤝 Taking other people’s kindness and sincerity as proof of your own greatness and using it to feed your ego doesn’t show how amazing you are. It reveals their goodness and your own inner ugliness 🙂 Never mistake people’s kindness for ignorance. before you become too full of yourself stop for a moment and take a good look at yourself Look at yourself honestly🤌

Notes from today's freelancing session with Brook Solomon, Product Owner of EthioDeploy Today’s session was full of useful insights about freelancing and the real world of software development. Some key takeaways: The entry barrier is getting lower with AI and modern tools, so have a plan and keep learning. As a junior developer, follow new trends and look for ways to stand out. Build real projects that people actually use, not just projects for practice. Focus on the value you bring to a business, not only the technologies you use. Share your building process publicly and use platforms like TikTok to showcase your products and attract clients. Understand the client before pricing your work, and agree on milestone-based payments. Use one successful real-world project as proof of your skills to approach more clients. Set your own deadlines earlier than the actual ones to leave time for review and improvements. My biggest takeaway: Coding is only one part of freelancing. You also need to understand business problems, show the value of your work, build trust, and learn how to find clients. I’ve written the detailed notes here for anyone who couldn’t attend: Read the full notes Thanks to Brook for sharing his experience with us. @jalos_trip
