Thursday, 25th June 🟡Overnight, the Nasdaq and the S&P 500 ended 0.43 per cent and 0.10 per cent down, respectively. The Dow Jones settled 0.35 per cent higher.  🟢Japan’s Nikkei and South Korea’s Kospi were trading 3.37 per cent and 4.89 per cent higher, respectively.  🟡Brent Crude trading at $72.72 per barrel. The initial ceasefire agreement between the US, Israel, and Iran eased fears of supply disruptions, improving sentiment across global energy markets. 🟢GIFT Nifty trading up 70 points, indicating flat-to-positive opening. ⚪️Domestic equities extended their rally yesterday, supported by buying across sectors. Investors may keep a close watch on Pharma, Healthcare, and select Capital Goods, Defence, and Infrastructure stocks.

Wednesday, 24th June 🟠Overnight, US stocks slumped due to sharp losses in technology stocks. The Dow Jones and the S&P 500 settled 0.09 per cent and 1.44 per cent down, respectively. The Nasdaq ended 2.21 per cent down. 🟡Asian markets were tradng on a mixed note this morning. Japan’s Nikkei was down 0.54 per cent, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was up 0.55 per cent. South Korea’s Kospi rebounded after a global rout in technology stocks, with index advancing up 2.77 per cent. 🟡Brent crude continued to decline on Wednesday as traders expected smooth supply from the crucial waterway, the Strait of Hormuz. Brent Crude September Futures trading at $76.03 per barrel. 🟡GIFT Nifty trading up around 61 points, indicating flat-to-positive open for Indian market. ⚪️Investor sentiment easing due to reduction in geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, falling crude oil prices, sustained institutional inflows, and the steady progress of the southwest monsoon, which is expected to support economic growth and keep inflation in check.
