UPSC Aspirant 2025-26

For those whose name was not the list the feeling can't be put into words. It shakes you from within. It hurts you immensely and you feel like all your hard work has been down the drain. I have seen 2 prelims and 2 mains failures and I know there were days when I was not able to eat and sleep properly. The results impact the physical and mental health immensely. Its a very difficult process to pick up yourself up from that abyss. You must be feeling lost and defeated. All of these feelings are completely normal. But believe your hard work has not been wasted. You have grown in the process. The resilience that I have got from my failures has made me so adaptable that I can handle any adversity. I have seen the worst of times and hence I can appreciate the best of times. I always kept that belief in me alive that if my intentions are right and I am working continuously on my mistakes, I will reach my goal. Now what to do: 1. If attempts are left and you have the bandwidth to give it another shot please go for it. You have come a long way and its just a matter of few marks here and there and you are in. 2. Look at the marksheet and simply work on shortcomings for next attempt. Believe me nobody knows what will happen in next attempt marks. If I give the exam again I may not get same marks again. 3. Talk to peers and seniors and please express your emotions. Don't keep your fears inside. They eat you from within. Focus on venting them out to get peace of mind. Have a honest conversation and you will feel better. 4. Its perfectly ok to be out of cycle if you wish to. This examination has an aura attached to it and it makes you give attempt after attempt by forgetting your individuality. Someone can be a very good professor, scientist or doctor and hence we should realise that we have different passions. Find your passion and just never look back. This examination is not the only thing that can make you successful. 5. This is a difficult journey even before getting into services and even after that. I am on my district training and I can tell you life will throw more challenges as we progress in our career ahead. This examination just prepares us to take the pressure. Its important to realise that you have to win over all the pessimistic thoughts and insecurities and just take that plunge again. I know its very hard to pick up same books again and re-read same stuff again. But this time re-align your perspective by focusing on shortcomings. I knew my answer writing needed more efforts so I wrote daily and hence read less. I tweaked my day into maths and answer writing and just repeated it. I didn't think anything about marks. I just wrote daily and added points to increase the value addition. You have to be stubborn in the process.

All the best everyone for CSE results that are expected to be released soon. Many dreams will come true and more than that will be shattered. A night may change the status of you from being nobody to somebody who can make a difference. If selected, be humble and grateful to everyone who helped you throughout the journey and reach the goal. But remember "it is not the end rather the journey has just now begin " as said in Lbsnaa to us on the first day. For those who are equally talented but unfortunate to find name in the list , this is not the end . Clearing CSE exam is not just purely based on hardwork and dedication but some amount of luck is always needed . So don't get disheartened with negative results. This exam doesn't define your worth or potential. Right now tension, anxiety will be high but this shall too pass.. Trust almighty, family and in yourself.
