| 2 | Planet Labs lands a new seven‑figure contract. Apparel retailers post weak results
↗️ Samsara (IOT) +13%. The Connected Operations Cloud platform, which helps enterprises manage physical operations using IoT, reported EPS of $0.20 and revenue of $508.4M, both beating analyst expectations. The full‑year forecast was raised, driven by an expanding enterprise client base and strong demand for fleet telematics solutions.
↘️ UiPath (PATH) -8%. The developer of business process automation software using RPA and AI reported EPS and revenue above expectations, but without major surprises. The company also gave an optimistic 2027 revenue outlook. Shares initially rose after the report but then turned negative.
↘️ Asana (ASAN) -10%. The cloud‑based project management and workflow platform provided quarterly EPS and revenue guidance that fell short of consensus.
↘️ Guidewire (GWRE) -14%. A provider of cloud software for property and casualty insurers. Quarterly results beat consensus, but revenue guidance disappointed.
↗️ Planet Labs (PL) +12%. EPS and revenue exceeded consensus. Revenue from the defense and intelligence segment grew more than 90% year‑over‑year, accounting for 70% of sales. The full‑year revenue forecast was raised. Planet Labs also announced a seven‑figure annual agreement with an undisclosed European defense and intelligence customer.
↗️ Smith & Wesson Brands (SWBI) +12%. The firearms manufacturer reported EPS and revenue above expectations.
↘️ Oxford Industries (OXM) -17%. The high‑end apparel maker, owner of Tommy Bahama, Lilly Pulitzer, Johnny Was, and Southern Tide, issued a troubling quarterly EPS loss forecast of -$1.30 versus an expected -$0.59, and lowered its full‑year sales guidance, citing challenges at the Lilly Pulitzer brand and a cautious consumer environment.
↘️ Lululemon Athletica (LULU) -20%. Due to declining sales, management significantly lowered its full‑year EPS guidance to $9.48–9.73, versus a consensus of $10.84. | 1 361 |

| 5 | Data storage companies rise after Snowflake's strong report. Broadcom gives somewhat weak guidance
↘️ Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical (RARE) -46%. The Phase 3 study of its drug for Angelman syndrome failed to meet the primary endpoint — the Bayley‑4 cognitive score — as well as the key secondary endpoint. This significantly complicates the drug's development prospects.
↗️ Snowflake (SNOW) +23%. Second‑quarter results beat expectations, and the company raised its guidance. Expected Q3 revenue is $1.588–1.593B, with full‑year revenue of $6.07B (versus consensus of $5.84B), driven by accelerating adoption of AI tools for enterprise data.
↗️ Datadog (DDOG) +5% following Snowflake — the two companies are closely linked in the AI‑powered cloud infrastructure market.
↗️ Five Below (FIVE) +6%. The discount retailer reported above‑expectation results and raised its full‑year sales forecast, citing strong back‑to‑school traffic and new store openings.
↘️ Broadcom (AVGO) -3%. The report beat expectations: EPS of $3.32 vs. $3.21 forecast, on revenue of $29.59B. However, quarterly revenue guidance of $34.8B came in slightly below consensus of $35.05B.
↘️ Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) -4%. The company reported above‑expectation results, and management gave an optimistic quarterly revenue outlook, but shares are currently in the red.
↘️ NetApp (NTAP) -8%. The data storage company reported EPS and revenue above expectations, but free cash flow fell 35% year‑over‑year to $401M. Its raised guidance implies a sharp deceleration in growth in the second half of the fiscal year: revenue growth is expected to slow from roughly 26% in Q1 and 23% in Q2 to about 9–10% in H2. Investors are questioning whether current demand reflects sustainable structural growth or a pull‑forward effect. The number of AI and data lake deals closed in Q1 was about 350, down from roughly 500 in the previous quarter, despite larger average deal sizes.
↗️ Netskope (NTSK) +11%. The cybersecurity and networking company reported above‑expectation results and raised its full‑year revenue guidance.
↘️ Methode Electronics (MEI) -14%. A manufacturer of custom electronic components for automotive, industrial, and aerospace sectors. The quarterly loss was $11.4M, worse than the $10.3M loss in the same period last year. The company attributed the decline to one‑time costs, including the impact of last year's DataMate divestiture, as well as investments in talent and capabilities, which offset sales growth and operational improvements.
↗️ Argan (AGX) +7%. The engineering and construction company posted record quarterly results that significantly beat expectations. The main driver was Argan's energy segment, which accounted for 78% of revenue and grew 53% year‑over‑year. The industrial services division grew 11%. A backlog of $2.8B points to a strong pipeline of future work in power infrastructure, which benefits from growing demand driven by data center construction and the broader energy transition.
↗️ PVH (PVH) +3%. The owner of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger brands reported above‑consensus results, but full‑year EPS guidance came in slightly below consensus. | 2 200 |
| 6 | How to read a stock chart in two minutes
30 per indicator 🕑
Trend
Zoom out and look at the past few weeks or months.
🔼 If the highs and lows are consistently moving higher, the trend is upward.
🔽 If they are moving lower, the trend is downward.
▶️ If the price is trading roughly between the same levels, the stock is moving sideways.
For example: $100 → $115 → pullback to $108 → rise to $123. Both the new high and the new low are above the previous ones. If this pattern repeats several times, the trend is most likely bullish.
Support and Resistance
🫴 Support is a price level below which a stock does not fall for a certain period of time.
✋ Resistance is a price level above which it does not rise. As a rule, the more often the price tests a level, the greater the likelihood that it will eventually break through it.
Volume
An increase in volume during a strong move or breakout makes that move more significant. If the price is rising while volume is declining, the trend may be losing momentum. Low volume indicates that there are fewer market participants in the stock, so the move may be weak or unpredictable.
Check how volume confirmed previous trends and compare current volume with average levels. A volume-weighted moving average (VWMA) can be used as a reference.
Gaps
Gaps are breaks between the closing price and the opening price, often caused by news or earnings reports. After a gap, the price often—but not always—moves to fill it by returning to previous levels.
A gap up following strong news, combined with a breakout above resistance and high trading volume, can be a strong bullish signal.
Example
Suppose a stock is trading at $126.
Its recent lows of $105 → $112 → $118 indicate an uptrend.
The price is now above the previous resistance level of $120.
The breakout occurred on volume noticeably higher than in recent sessions. After the earnings report, the stock gapped up from $119 to $126, and the gap has not yet been filled.
All of this points to a potential move higher 👆

| 7 | Uber to cut 10% of workforce. Dell profit beats expectations by 45%
↘️ Palo Alto Networks (PANW) -2%. The cybersecurity company beat revenue and profit expectations and issued strong 2027 guidance that exceeded Wall Street estimates.
↗️ Dell Technologies (DELL) +8%. The IT infrastructure giant posted adjusted EPS of $7.04 (well above the $4.87 forecast) on revenue of $47B, driven by surging enterprise demand for AI‑powered servers.
↗️ Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) +4% following Dell's report.
↘️ Credo Technology Group (CRDO) -8%. The company develops energy‑efficient high‑speed data transmission solutions for data centers, cloud infrastructures, and AI clusters. The report beat expectations but lacked major surprises. Quarterly revenue guidance also exceeded consensus.
↗️ GitLab (GTLB) +18%. The software development tools provider saw a sharp rise in demand for AI‑related products. New initial orders grew over 100% year‑over‑year, while net annual recurring revenue rose 40%. The number of customers with ARR over $100,000 grew 17%, and those with ARR over $5,000 grew 8%. The company continued investing in the GitLab Orbit platform, which entered public beta during the quarter. GitLab Secrets Manager was also launched as a consumption‑based add‑on for Premium and Ultimate tier customers.
↘️ MongoDB (MDB) -14%. The database management platform reported strong revenue. However, investors were apparently disappointed by the growth of its multi‑cloud database service. The company issued cautious quarterly guidance.
↘️ FuelCell Energy (FCEL) -8%. The developer and manufacturer of stationary fuel cell power plants reported a larger‑than‑expected loss, and revenue fell short of forecasts.
↗️ Uber Technologies (UBER) +2%. Bloomberg reports that the company plans to cut about 3,300 jobs (10% of its global workforce) as part of a restructuring aimed at reducing management layers. Under the changes, Uber will also limit the share of remote employees to roughly 1% of its headcount. The company plans to direct additional investments toward driver, courier, and merchant support, as well as the development of its core ride‑hailing and delivery services, including autonomous vehicle technology.

| 9 | Micron workers stage a strike. Morgan Stanley upgrades Robinhood
↗️ Medtronic (MDT) +5%. The medical device developer and manufacturer reported EPS and revenue above expectations. The company raised its full‑year guidance, driven by strong performance across its portfolio. Cardiovascular products grew 18.9%, electrophysiology therapies rose 29%, neurosciences gained 9.3%, and the medical‑surgical segment grew 10.2%.
↗️ Fervo Energy (FRVO) +14%. The Wall Street Journal reports that the geothermal project developer has struck a deal with Google to supply nearly 400 megawatts of electricity from its Cape Station facility starting in 2028. The agreement validates Fervo's commercial viability as it invests over $2 billion in building Cape Station, aiming to make it the world's largest next‑generation geothermal project.
↘️ Micron (MU) -2%. Taipei‑based Liberty Times reported that Micron will offer its Taiwan employees the largest incentive package in the company's history in response to a strike threat from the union. Details of the payout plan will be revealed in October. The union is demanding a more transparent bonus system tied to the company's financial performance. Taiwan is Micron's key manufacturing hub in the Asia‑Pacific region.
↗️ Duolingo (DUOL) +6%. The language‑learning platform saw price target upgrades from Evercore ISI and DA Davidson on the back of user growth.
↗️ Robinhood (HOOD) +1%. Morgan Stanley upgraded HOOD to "Overweight" from "Neutral" and raised its price target from $124 to $150, implying 43% upside. The bank believes asset growth, user activity, and per‑client monetization will provide Robinhood with long‑term growth potential.
↗️ Comstock Resources (CRK) +9%. An energy company engaged in the exploration, development, and production of natural gas and oil in U.S. fields. Comstock simultaneously announced two major corporate deals. The first is a $1.65 billion strategic partnership with SOCAR, Azerbaijan's state oil company. The second is the creation of a $450 million joint drilling venture in partnership with the family of Jerry Jones, Comstock's majority shareholder. | 2 216 |

⏰ We kick off tomorrow! | 2 236 |
| 12 | Top trading ideas for this week
🔴 Dell Technologies (DELL). Report on September 1 after market close. The stock is up 262% since the start of the year. It tends to show strong volatility around earnings. For those who like powerful intraday moves.
🔴 Broadcom (AVGO). Report on September 2 after market close. The semiconductor giant. Wall Street expects revenue growth of 83–84% YoY to $29.24B, driven by strong AI chip demand. Investors will focus on the AI revenue outlook for 2027. The June report triggered a sell‑off due to conservative AI segment estimates. This time, CEO Hock Tan is expected to deliver more aggressive and optimistic guidance. The report could impact the entire tech sector and spark selling if it fails to meet expectations.
🔴 Crypto stocks:
Strategy (MSTR)
Coinbase Global (COIN)
BitMine (BMNR)
Circle Internet Group (CRCL)
Bitcoin consolidated around $80,000 last week. If it can move higher, a new wave of growth in crypto stocks is possible.
🔴 Planet Labs (PL). Report on September 3 after market close. The company builds and launches small satellites for daily high‑resolution imaging of the entire Earth's surface. On June 1, PL shares were trading around $50 ahead of the SpaceX IPO, but over three summer months they fell to $20. Most other stocks in the sector also dropped 50‑60% from their highs over the quarter. On one hand, medium‑term prices already look decent; on the other hand, there are no clear growth catalysts, and the news flow is generally neutral. SpaceX rose 26% over the month, but this has not affected other space companies. We don't recommend buying before the report, but it's worth keeping an eye on.
🔴 Lululemon Athletica (LULU). Report on September 3 after market close. A maker of premium athletic and casual apparel. In early 2024, the stock reached $500; now it is around $120. The main reasons for the decline are weaker demand due to inflation, rising competition, tariff pressure, shrinking margins, and weak design. The report will show whether new products have won back customers in the key US market. Analysts point to cost control and share buybacks as potential positive factors, but declining sales in the US and China could lead to a downward revision of fiscal 2026 profit guidance.
The report comes five days before new CEO Heidi O'Neill takes office — she spent over 25 years as a senior executive at Nike. Medium‑term prices look fairly attractive, but it's better to wait for the report — we expect high volatility.
⚠️ High risk, for professionals.

| 13 | Warsh delivered a hawkish signal. Bitcoin +20% over two weeks
↗️ The market closed the week slightly higher: the SPY gained 0.47%, while the Nasdaq rose 0.42%. Salesforce (+22%) and CrowdStrike (+13%) reported strong results, while Microsoft (+6%) and Meta (+5%) also saw notable gains. Top losers included SanDisk (-6%), Eli Lilly (-6%), and Applied Materials (-6%).
💻️ Another powerful report from Nvidia confirmed strong AI demand, but on Friday the stock gave back nearly all of its gains, closing the week only +1%.
🪙 Bitcoin made several attempts to break and hold above $80,000, but so far without success. BTC is currently trading at $78,700.
👨🦳 Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's rhetoric at the Jackson Hole symposium turned out to be quite hawkish. He emphasized that the recent slowdown in inflation does not yet prove a sustainable improvement in the trend, and that price stability remains the regulator's top priority. The probability of a rate hike at the September 15–16 meeting jumped from 35.4% to 55.7%.
📅 The main event this week will be Friday's August jobs report, including unemployment data. The most anticipated earnings report will be Broadcom — the semiconductor and infrastructure software supplier with a market cap of about $2T — which reports on Wednesday after the close.
📌 There will be fewer reports this week; notable names include Ciena, Lululemon Athletica, DocuSign, Samsara, Snowflake, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Palo Alto Networks, Dell Technologies, MongoDB, and Medtronic.

| 15 | Why UTEX Is just built different
Let's swing by Binance, OKX, WEEX, Hyperliquid, Bybit, and the other crypto exchanges. They're all hyping their perps on US stocks right now.
1️⃣ First, comparing the ticker count: 10,256 US stocks and ETFs on UTEX vs. ~50–250 contracts on the crypto exchanges. 🤡 Not even close.
2️⃣ Say 100 of the hottest stocks is all you need for trading. On four of those five exchanges — Binance, OKX, WEEX, Bybit — you will be charged funding on your entire position every 8 hours. On Hyperliquid — every hour. UTEX doesn’t charge funding. If you have a leveraged position and want to carry it over to the next day, you'll only pay an overnight fee of 0.028% on the amount exceeding your balance.
3️⃣ UTEX also wins on trading fees. For example, on a $25,000 trade (roughly 100 shares of AMZN), the fee on UTEX would be $2 on the Per Share plan or $10 on the Progressive plan. The same trade would cost $20 on WEEX and $22 on Hyperliquid.
4️⃣ You can forget about dividends on OKX, WEEX, Bybit, and Hyperliquid. Only Binance does a one-time funding recalculation close to the record date: shorts pay longs the dividend equivalent. On UTEX, dividends are credited automatically, just like with traditional brokers.
📌 Bottom line: stock perps are a very raw product. Worth a try if you just want to trade SpaceX or the Mag7. On UTEX, you get the entire US market, with dividends, competitive fees, and easy onboarding.
📈 Sign up with just an email, start with any amount, and trade KYC-free up to $1,000. Bonus: use promo code TELEGRAM100, complete KYC, deposit $100 — and we'll drop another $100 into your account.

| 16 | Stripe will not buy PayPal. Gap replaces Old Navy CEO
↗️ Workday (WDAY) +1%. The provider of enterprise cloud applications reported better‑than‑expected results, but quarterly subscription revenue guidance of $2.515 billion (up 12%) points to modest deceleration.
↘️ Autodesk (ADSK) -4%. The design and engineering software maker beat revenue and EPS expectations. However, full‑year EPS guidance came in slightly below estimates.
↘️ Rubrik (RBRK) -6%. The cloud security company beat expectations and raised its guidance. Apparently, investors are ready to take profits at current levels, and the "buy the rumor, sell the news" dynamic played out.
↘️ Marvell Technology (MRVL) -7%. The chipmaker reported slightly better‑than‑expected results, but without any major surprises. The company now expects fiscal 2027 revenue growth of roughly 45% to $12 billion, up from the previous guidance of $11.5 billion. Fiscal 2028 revenue is expected at $18 billion, versus the prior forecast of $16.5 billion.
↗️ Gap (GAP) +16%. The apparel retailer appointed seasoned industry executive Michael Francis as the new CEO of Old Navy, its largest brand, in an effort to turn around the struggling division. The decision came as the company beat quarterly profit estimates thanks to improved pricing. Gap also raised its full‑year profit guidance, partly driven by strong results from the Gap brand itself.
↗️ Affirm Holdings (AFRM) +12%. The "buy now, pay later" platform delivered a stellar EPS result of $4.62, far exceeding the analyst consensus of $0.85, and also issued strong next‑quarter revenue guidance.
↘️ SentinelOne (S) -3%. The cybersecurity company gave disappointing quarterly and annual profit guidance, overshadowing better‑than‑expected revenue and margin improvement.
↗️ Solstice Advanced Materials (SOLS) +14%, Element Solutions (ESI) +1%. Solstice Advanced Materials terminated its merger agreement with Element Solutions and announced a $500 million buyback.
↘️ PayPal (PYPL) -14%. Bloomberg reported that fintech company Stripe and private investment firm Advent International have withdrawn their bid to acquire the payments giant.
↗️ Elastic (ESTC) +23%. A developer of software for data collection, storage, search, analysis, and visualization. The company beat expectations and gave an optimistic outlook. | 2 241 |
| 17 | CrowdStrike and Okta posted strong results. Trian Fund will not buy Wendy's
↗️ Synopsys (SNPS) +1%. The leader in semiconductor design automation beat EPS expectations and raised its full‑year guidance. The stock initially fell 6–7% after the report but moved into positive territory in pre‑market trading.
↗️ Salesforce (CRM) +10%. The enterprise CRM software provider reported better‑than‑expected results. The key growth driver was demand for its AI‑powered solutions.
↗️ CrowdStrike (CRWD) +9%. The cybersecurity company reported a record quarter and raised its full‑year 2027 revenue guidance to a range of $5.99–$6.01 billion.
↗️ Okta (OKTA) +17%. Another cybersecurity company reported above‑expectation results and now expects revenue growth of 10‑11% for the year, above analyst estimates.
↘️ HP (HPQ) -12%. Results beat forecasts, but investors remain concerned about potential margin pressure due to a sharp rise in memory chip and display panel prices in the personal systems and printing segments.
↗️ Nutanix (NTNX) +6%. The cloud computing company reported above consensus. Next‑quarter revenue guidance matched analyst expectations.
↗️ Veeva Systems (VEEV) +8%. The company develops cloud software and analytics for the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical industries. The report beat consensus, and the company raised its full‑year guidance thanks to record CRM and Falcon AI performance. Commercial subscriptions grew 13% year‑over‑year. Jefferies analysts raised their price target from $250 to $295 after the report, maintaining a "Buy" rating.
↗️ Dollar General (DG) +7%. The discount retailer beat forecasts, raised its full‑year profit guidance, and announced an AI partnership with RELEX Solutions. The deal will enable the deployment of an AI‑powered forecasting, replenishment, and distribution platform across all Dollar General's North American operations.
🪙 Bitcoin again broke above $80,000 but has not yet held above that level. BTC is currently trading at $79,500.
↘️ Build‑A‑Bear Workshop (BBW) -13%. The company sells stuffed animals and offers an interactive make‑your‑own experience. Revenue missed consensus. Management lowered its full‑year revenue expectations for the second time this year — to $500–$525 million, down from $530–$550 million. The company also announced the departure of its Chief Development Officer, David Henderson.
↘️ Wendy's (WEN) -14%. Reuters reported that Nelson Peltz's Trian Fund Management has walked away from a potential buyout of the burger chain.
↗️ Amkor Technology (AMKR) +8%. A provider of semiconductor packaging and testing services. BofA Securities assigned the stock a "Buy" rating with a $70 price target, implying approximately 45% upside. The bank's analysts forecast EPS growth from $1.51 in 2025 to $3.41 by 2028 (a CAGR of about 31%), driven by higher capacity utilization and a shift toward a higher‑margin product mix. | 2 242 |
| 18 | Nvidia delivered
🔘 Revenue: $96.2 billion vs. $92.2 billion forecast (+106% YoY), of which $89 billion came from data centers.
🔘 EPS: $2.22 vs. $2.10 (+120% YoY).
💼 Nvidia will acquire Hugging Face, the open‑source AI model repository, for $12.9 billion.
The company forecast $108 billion in revenue for the next quarter, even if Chinese data centers contribute zero revenue. At that run rate, Nvidia's annual sales would surpass Apple and Google, trailing only retail giant Amazon.
Jensen Huang commented: "AI has reached its inflection point. It’s doing useful work. Its tokens are productive and profitable. Now, compute is revenue." He believes the risk associated with rising AI investments remains "low."
Vera Rubin is now in full production, with racks already running at partner sites. "The AI infrastructure buildout is at full steam. Vera Rubin, now in full production, was built to power exactly this moment," the CEO said.
Stocks rose 5% after the report. | 2 241 |
| 19 | What to get done before summer ends
Time to down that last iced latte. September doesn’t favor bulls — it’s the only month with a consistently negative average return over the past 98 years (around −1.2%). The index fell in roughly 55% of Septembers, and nine of the 40 largest monthly S&P 500 declines occurred in September.
After Labor Day, which falls on September 7 this year, trading volumes usually pick up, funds begin rebalancing, and volatility increases.
What to get done before it starts:
♦ trade the Nvidia earnings report (out today after market close);
♦ review your portfolio;
♦ check your plan, close positions that were opened for a couple of days back in July;
♦ update your Favorites by adding our top 10 stocks for the second half of the year;
♦and stop calling averaging down a “strategic accumulation.”
The next few weeks will be eventful:
🔘 Today, August 26, GDP, PCE, and Nvidia earnings.

| 20 | Intuit revenue slowed. Semtech nearly doubled data center revenue year‑over‑year
↘️ Intuit (INTU) -10%. Earnings per share and revenue beat expectations, but the full‑year revenue guidance disappointed: the range of $23.28–$23.51 billion came in below the consensus of $23.72 billion. Expected growth slowed to 9–10% compared to 14% in 2026. The company attributed the slowdown to weak Mailchimp sales, continued declines in desktop product sales, and lower average revenue per TurboTax customer due to changes aimed at attracting more users. Leading Wall Street banks downgraded Intuit to "Neutral" on Wednesday, citing deteriorating growth outlook and signs that competitive pressure is spreading beyond TurboTax.

↗️ Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) +9%. The casual apparel, footwear, and accessories retailer reported EPS and revenue that beat analyst expectations and raised its full‑year guidance. "We achieved record second‑quarter sales and posted our 15th consecutive quarter of growth," said CEO Fran Horowitz.
↘️ Kohl's (KSS) -8%. A major retail chain. EPS beat expectations, but sales fell 0.9% year‑over‑year. Investors had been hoping for a clear turnaround in the company's prolonged revenue decline. Kohl's plans to resume buybacks of up to $100 million.
