Taiwan Semiconductor posts record profit for the fifth consecutive time. AST SpaceMobile to raise $1B through bonds ↗️ UnitedHealth (UNH) +6%. Second‑quarter results beat earnings per share and revenue expectations. The company raised its full‑year EPS guidance. "Our results and outlook reflect the continuing progress in our work to simplify how we operate, improve both affordability and the health care experience for patients and care providers and apply modern technology to create real improvement for people," said CEO Stephen Hemsley. ↘️ Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) -4%. The chipmaker posted its fifth consecutive quarter of record profit. Nevertheless, shares are currently in the red. ↗️ J.B. Hunt Transport Services (JBHT) +6%. Results exceeded forecasts, supported by demand for rail services and significant fee revenue that offset fuel price fluctuations. ↗️ Abbott Laboratories (ABT) +3%. A healthcare corporation with four main divisions: Established Pharmaceuticals, Diagnostic Products, Nutrition, and Medical Devices. The quarterly report beat consensus, and the company also raised its full‑year profit guidance. ↗️ ManpowerGroup (MAN) +13%. The company provides staffing and talent management services. Earnings per share and revenue beat expectations. ↘️ GE Aerospace (GE) -2%. The aerospace giant reported better‑than‑expected results and raised its full‑year guidance across all metrics, driven by robust growth in commercial services. ↘️ AST SpaceMobile (ASTS) -12%. The satellite broadband internet developer plans to issue $1B in convertible bonds due 2034. Underwriters may purchase an additional $150M. The raised funds will provide the company with necessary resources for developing its space‑based cellular network, but investors are reacting negatively to the threat of dilution.

Gas and seasonality ⛽️ Natural gas is one of the most seasonal markets. Gas gets pumped into storage over the summer and draw
Gas and seasonality ⛽️ Natural gas is one of the most seasonal markets. Gas gets pumped into storage over the summer and drawn down heavily in winter. This is why winter futures (November–March) tend to trade at a premium over summer contracts. Summer Electricity demand spikes from June through September as air conditioning kicks in, pushing gas-fired power plants to work overtime. Usage peaks in July–August — but peak demand doesn't necessarily mean peak prices. Prices are currently sitting relatively low, thanks to record output from the Permian Basin and above average inventories. Fall The market turns its attention to how full storage is heading into winter. By late October, when the injection season wraps up, inventories are projected to hit 3.97 trillion cubic feet — about 5% above the five-year norm. That lowers the risk of a winter deficit and limits how much prices can grow. Winter The most volatile period. Gas is used both to power the grid and home heating. A harsh winter can drain storage and cause the prices to surge. The average Henry Hub price in Q4 is expected around $3.57 per MMBtu, down 5% from 2025. By Q4 2027, a modest uptick to $3.78 per MMBtu is forecast (+6% year over year) as the storage glut gradually works itself off. But don't lean too hard on seasonal patterns. In 2006, Amaranth Advisors — a fund managing roughly $9.2B — went all in on a cold winter and hurricane season, loading up on long winter contracts and shorting summer ones. The winter turned out mild, storage was plentiful, and prices tanked. The fund lost around $6.5B in a matter of weeks and folded. Two more factors worth watching if you trade gas: 🔘The weather. Heat waves or cold snaps can swing demand. 🔘Storage levels before the heating season. PayPal could be bought out. ASML and AEHR report well above expectations ↘️ Pentair (PNR) -22%. The company provides water solutions for residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and agricultural sectors. Weak preliminary quarterly results disappointed investors. Pentair lowered its full‑year guidance and announced the departure of its CFO. ↗️ ASML (ASML) +7%. Earnings per share and revenue noticeably exceeded consensus. The full‑year revenue forecast was raised. The company plans to expand production capacity for key chip‑making systems by roughly 30% to meet the order flow. This move by management underscores the structural nature of demand. CEO Christophe Fouquet noted that continued AI investments are driving demand for advanced logic and memory chips, and customers continue to accelerate capacity expansion plans. ↗️ Aehr Test Systems (AEHR) +37%. Earnings per share and revenue beat expectations. The semiconductor test equipment manufacturer reported record quarterly orders of $60.7M and a robust backlog of $100.6M. Growth is driven by demand for AI processors, silicon photonics, and power semiconductors. ↘️ Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) -3%. Earnings per share and revenue came in slightly above expectations, and the company modestly raised its full‑year guidance. "Johnson & Johnson delivered strong second-quarter results, demonstrating the power of our innovation, the depth of our portfolio and the momentum in our pipeline as we advance transformative treatments that address the world’s toughest health challenges," said CEO Joaquin Duato. PayPal (PYPL) +18%. Stripe and Advent International jointly offered to acquire PayPal at $60.50 per share. Under the deal, each partner would hold equal stakes, and PayPal's valuation would exceed $53B. Michael Burry, who holds PYPL in his portfolio, stated that "$60.50 is just too low. I am not selling, and I believe it is only an opening bid." In his view, PayPal is one of the cheapest and highest‑quality assets in his entire portfolio. ↘️ ConAgra Brands (CAG) -5%. One of the largest US producers and distributors of packaged foods. Earnings per share and revenue came in slightly above expectations, but the 2027 profit guidance was significantly below consensus. ↗️ Twin Vee PowerCats (VEEE) +14%. Shares have been rising since June 13, when the company announced a strategic merger with a subsidiary of USFM Corporation and plans to take its marine business private. The deal received approval from the boards of both Twin Vee and USFM Corporation, but still requires approval from Twin Vee's disinterested shareholders, regulatory clearance, and other customary conditions. The parties expect to close the transaction in the third quarter of 2026. Producer inflation (PPI) for June 🔘Month‑over‑month: -0.3% (forecast 0%, previous +1.1%); 🔘Year‑over‑year: +5.5% (forecast +6.2%, previous +6.5%)

A season of strong earnings and high expectations One of the most optimistic earnings seasons in recent years has kicked off+1
A season of strong earnings and high expectations One of the most optimistic earnings seasons in recent years has kicked off 👇 ❤️‍🔥 Analysts expect S&P 500 companies profits to grow by 24%. This would mark the second consecutive quarter with profit growth above 20% and the best result since late 2021. ❤️‍🔥 Profit growth is expected in 10 out of 11 sectors. The leaders are energy, technology, and materials. The only sector where a decline is forecast is healthcare. Ahead of the season, analysts actually raised their expectations (they usually lower them): 🔼 EPS from 18.8% to 23.6%; 🔼 revenue from 9.5% to 12.3%. Over the past 10 years, 76% of companies have beaten profit estimates; over the last 4 quarters, that figure is 80%. If the trend holds, the final quarterly profit growth could approach 29–31%. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 is already near all-time highs. A perfect scenario is priced in — strong earnings, steady economic growth, and the continuation of the AI boom. But inflation remains elevated, especially against the backdrop of Trump's recent actions toward Iran. Treasury yields have risen to a two-year high, and rate hike expectations are growing. Because of that, right now it's important to watch: ✔️ Management guidance. ✔️ Commentary on AI and data center spending. ✔️ How the market reacts after earnings reports. If strong reports stop driving stock prices higher, it could be the first signal that the market has reached peak optimism. UTEX

SaaS companies decline after IBM's preliminary results. Inflation beats expectations ↘️ IBM (IBM) -22%. Preliminary quarterly results show revenue of $17.2B, below the forecast of $17.86B. Clients have prioritized spending on AI infrastructure, including servers, storage, and memory. The results reflect an industry‑wide shift toward AI infrastructure spending and a pullback in traditional software budgets. CEO Arvind Krishna said in a letter to investors that the company stumbled this quarter in adapting quickly to changing market conditions, leading to many large deals not closing as expected. ↘️ SaaS stocks sold off following the IBM data: Workday (WDAY) -5%, ServiceNow (NOW) -6%, Salesforce (CRM) -5%. ↘️ JPMorgan Chase (JPM) -3%, Wells Fargo (WFC) -1%, Goldman Sachs (GS) +1%, Bank of America (BAC) -1%, Citigroup (C) -1%. All banks reported better‑than‑expected results. ↘️ Fastenal (FAST) -1%. A global wholesale distributor of industrial and construction supplies. Earnings per share matched consensus, while revenue beat expectations. Net income rose 15.9% to $382.8M, up from $330.3M in Q2 2025. "Results reflected strong daily sales growth, operating expense leverage, and continued growth with larger customers supported by our onsite, digital, and supply chain solutions," the company said in a press release. ↗️ Tower Semiconductor (TSEM) +22%. A leading independent manufacturer of analog and mixed‑signal semiconductor components. The company plans to invest $3B to expand its advanced chip production for AI infrastructure in Japan. The project will also receive $1B in financial support from the Japanese government. In the first phase, Tower will convert its Arai plant in Japan into a production facility for 300‑mm silicon photonics chips. Commercial operations are expected to begin in Q4 2027. The company expects revenue of $3.6B and net profit of $1.2B in 2028, compared to previous forecasts of $2.8B and $750M, respectively. The second phase will run in parallel with the first and involves building an additional 300‑mm semiconductor plant adjacent to the existing Fab 7 site. "We anticipate track two to provide the path for continued growth far beyond 2028," Tower CEO Russell Ellwanger said. ↘️ HCA Healthcare (HCA) -12%. The hospital operator released preliminary quarterly results and lowered its full‑year earnings per share guidance. Consumer inflation (CPI) for June 🔘Month‑over‑month: -0.4% (forecast -0.1%, previous +0.5%) 🔘Year‑over‑year: +3.5% (forecast +3.8%, previous +4.2%) 🔘Core CPI year‑over‑year: +2.6% (forecast +2.8%, previous +2.9%)

Top trading ideas for this week 🔴 Netflix (NFLX). Report on July 16 after market close. The stock has fallen 41% over the year, with support forming around $70. Competition with Disney, HBO Max, and YouTube is intensifying. Ad‑supported video services like Tubi and the Roku Channel are also gaining popularity. Netflix is considering launching genre‑based and linear 24/7 channels. The company remains the leader in subscription streaming, but its viewing share dropped in April to its lowest level since May 2025. It's hard to predict what will happen after the report — Netflix knows how to surprise. Current prices look potentially decent for the medium term, but it's better to wait for the report. 🔴 ASML Holding (ASML). Report on July 15 before market open. Another chipmaker, Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM), reports on July 16 before the open. Their results will set the tone for the entire sector: NVDA, ARM, AMD, AVGO, QCOM. With strong results, moderate inflation, and reduced geopolitical tensions, the market has a chance to break through all‑time highs and hold above them. 🔴 UnitedHealth (UNH). Report on July 16 before market open. The company combines a health insurer and a healthcare provider. We recommended it for the medium term ahead of the last report. Since then, the stock has risen 38%, but prices are still reasonable. In June, BofA Securities upgraded UNH from “Neutral” to “Buy.” Historically, UnitedHealth shares tend to react quite strongly to earnings. 🔴 Banking sector. JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley — almost all will report on Tuesday before the open or on Wednesday. There hasn't been much significant news in this sector for a while, but banks are traditionally in the spotlight for investors. We don't recommend trading them, but you can add them to your watchlist as a market sentiment indicator. 🔴 Aehr Test Systems (AEHR). Report on July 14 after market close. The company's solutions allow testing and burn‑in of chips (exposing hidden defects under load) while they are still in wafer form or as individual dies. Despite its relatively small market cap (just over $2B), AEHR shares have shown high volatility over the past six months. We expect strong moves after the report and intraday. 🔴 High risk, for professionals. Profitable deals!

Crypto and stocks edged higher. A new earnings season and inflation data are ahead 🔥 Markets are approaching June's all‑time highs: the SPY gained 1.37%, the Nasdaq rose 1.81%. 🏆 Top gainers: Arista Networks +16%, Alibaba +16%, Meta +14%, Seagate Technology +11%. ➖ Among the losers: AstraZeneca (-12%), SpaceX (-10%), Intel (-8%). 🪙 Bitcoin is currently trading at $63,000. Ethereum is near $1,800. 🌎 Markets were volatile due to the US‑Iran conflict. By midweek, quotes stabilised thanks to hints of a peaceful resolution, but by Friday tensions escalated again. Overall, news from the Middle East no longer has as strong an impact on the market. 🔎 This week will be decisive for cementing the upward trend of the past two weeks. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Fed Chair Kevin Warsh will testify before Congress. On those same days, fresh consumer (CPI) and producer (PPI) inflation data for June will be released. 📅 The new earnings season kicks off today. As usual, the largest US banks will report first: JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Citigroup, and Morgan Stanley. Also reporting this week: ASML, Johnson & Johnson, Taiwan Semiconductor, UnitedHealth, GE Aerospace, Netflix, and Abbott Laboratories. UTEX

Circle to open its own bank. Bitcoin at $64,500 ↘️ Delta Air Lines (DAL) -1%. Earnings per share and revenue exceeded expectations. Delta's brand and industry position are stronger than ever," said Ed Bastian, Delta's chief executive officer. ↗️ WD‑40 Company (WDFC) +15%. The lubricant manufacturer reported earnings per share and revenue significantly above consensus. ↗️ Circle Internet Group (CRCL) +12%. The issuer of USDC has received approval from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to establish a national trust bank, First National Digital Currency Bank, which will operate under the brand Circle National Trust. This places the organization under direct federal oversight by the OCC. The Circle bank will initially provide fiduciary services for the custody of digital assets for Circle and its affiliates. Subsequently, the bank will be able to offer digital asset custody services to a limited number of institutional clients — primarily banks and other financial institutions, including regulated derivatives entities. ↗️ Shopify (SHOP) +2%. Stifel upgraded the company to "Buy" and raised its price target from $110 to $150. Analysts believe the 23% decline in shares since the start of the year has created an attractive entry point. They characterize SHOP as a high‑quality asset with a widening competitive moat. Analyst J. Parker Lane noted that Shopify is "writing the agentic commerce playbook" continuing to gain market share through migration from legacy platforms, enterprise, B2B, international expansion, and payment services. 🪙 Bitcoin gained nearly 3% in 24 hours, currently trading around $64,500. Ethereum +3.5% at $1,800.

Palantir partners with Rackspace Technology. Drug from Ionis and AstraZeneca fails trial ↘️ Rackspace Technology (RXT) -2%. The cloud provider sharply lowered its fiscal 2026 revenue guidance. But there is also good news: Rackspace Technology and Palantir announced a partnership. Palantir's $317B market cap and its rapidly expanding software platform, combined with Rackspace's infrastructure expertise, promise synergy. The collaboration targets organizations in healthcare, financial services, energy, and the sovereign sector that require data control and cannot move information abroad. ↘️ PepsiCo (PEP) -1%. Earnings per share and revenue came in slightly above expectations. North American food sales declined 2% due to a strategy of lowering prices on flagship snack brands Lay's and Doritos by up to 15%. Management reaffirmed its full‑year guidance without raising it, disappointing investors amid rising revenue. ↘️ Levi Strauss (LEVI) -4%. Earnings per share and revenue beat expectations, but management expects third‑quarter revenue growth of only 4–5% — a notable slowdown from 8% in the second quarter. CFO Harmit Singh noted that unstable trade policy makes it difficult to fully account for possible tariff advantages in forecasts. ↗️ Aehr Test Systems (AEHR) +16%. The company received a repeat production order from a key customer in silicon photonics for a fully automated FOX‑XP wafer‑level burn‑in system. ↘️ Ionis Pharmaceuticals (IONS) -19%. The drug Wainua, developed jointly with AstraZeneca for neurological diseases, failed to meet primary endpoints in a late‑stage trial. Specifically, it failed to reduce cardiovascular mortality and the rate of recurrent cardiac complications. Competitor stocks rose: ↗️ Alnylam (ALNY) +17%, ↗️ BridgeBio Pharma (BBIO) +10%. Both companies already have approved drugs for the same disease. Wainua's failure removes a potential competitor from the market.

Alibaba expands instant commerce. Goldman Sachs cuts price target on Bath & Body Works ↘️ Bath & Body Works (BBWI) -4%. Goldman Sachs downgraded BBWI from "Neutral" to "Sell" and lowered its price target from $23 to $19. Analysts cited weakening consumer sentiment toward the brand and risks associated with recently expanded third‑party distribution channels. ↗️ Alibaba (BABA) +9%. A pre‑earnings briefing showed that losses in the instant commerce segment have narrowed significantly, while overall profitability remained at an acceptable level. Alibaba is also systematically consolidating its lineup of enterprise AI agents. The company is combining QoderWork, Wukong, and MuleRun into a productivity platform under the leadership of DingTalk CEO Chen Yusen. ↘️ FuelCell Energy (FCEL) -20%. The company announced a public underwritten offering of $225M at $21 per share, representing a significant discount to the previous closing price of $25.96. Investors are selling due to concerns about equity dilution. FuelCell Energy intends to use the net proceeds for capital expenditures to expand production capacity, working capital, and general corporate purposes. ↘️ Kura Sushi USA (KRUS) -11%. A Japanese restaurant chain. Revenue fell short of expectations. ↗️ Helen of Troy (HELE) +6%. Earnings per share and revenue beat expectations. The 2027 revenue forecast was raised, though only slightly above consensus. ↗️ Penguin Solutions (PENG) +3%. A global provider of infrastructure solutions specializing in high‑performance computing (HPC), memory systems, and AI deployment. The report beat expectations, and the company raised its fiscal 2026 guidance. Demand for AI memory drove 48% revenue growth.

Investors were disappointed by weak results from Samsung, a competitor of Micron in memory chip manufacturing. Western Digital and SanDisk are also declining. ↘️ Rivian Automotive (RIVN) -10%. The electric vehicle maker filed for a 75 million share offering. The company will use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, including funding equity contributions required under its amended loan agreement with the U.S. Department of Energy. These funds are related to the construction of its manufacturing facility in Georgia. The offering announcement overshadowed strong preliminary Q2 2026 results. ↗️ Figma (FIG) +5%. A platform for designers, web developers, and marketers. Bank of America assigned a "Buy" rating and a $30 price target. Analysts believe concerns about the negative impact of generative AI on the company are overblown, and the 85% drop from the 52‑week high represents an attractive entry point. According to Tal Liani, AI is more of a tailwind than a headwind for Figma. While AI can accelerate initial content creation, it could also increase the number of people engaged in digital product development, leading to greater workflow complexity and driving demand for a centralized collaboration platform.

We released a bot that tracks profitable funding rates 🤖 Market-neutral arbitrage is a strategy the UTEX team has tested firsthand and broken down in a detailed guide. Earn recurring funding payments on Binance (or another crypto exchange) while hedging your exposure with an opposite position on UTEX. The challenge is that funding rates are constantly changing. A rate can, for example, drop to zero, or flip from positive to negative, or become unprofitable after overnight fees and commissions. Tracking funding rates manually means spending multiple hours every day. We've built a free assistant that does it for you 🙌 The Binance Funding bot: 🔎 Scans Binance instruments and identifies funding rates above 0.1% or below −0.1%. ✔️ Shows the ticker, current price, funding rate, and funding history for the last five funding intervals. The bot handles all the routine, while you decide if you should enter a trade. Meanwhile, we cover all the basics, like calculations for futures and stocks, real-world examples, and a step-by-step walkthrough of the strategy in our guide to funding arbitrage. To unlock the guide, fund your UTEX margin account with $500 or more. Or, if you already have that amount in your account, just contact support at @utex_help_bot. 👉 Open the bot: https://t.me/+QuxHcTaXEccyMDMy
