ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE END OF PROSFYGIKA HUNGERSTRIKE The hungerstrike for the Community of Squatted Prosfygika from Aristotelis Chantzis and Suzon Doppagne ended. The basic demands of the hungerstrike were covered to a large degree. The health condition of Aristotelis Chantzis remains in a very critical condition. CRITICAL HEALTH CONDITION OF ARISTOTELIS CHANTZIS Statement from the hospital doctors monitoring his health, June 24, 2026 The hunger striker is hospitalized due to acute Wernicke’s encephalopathy with double vision and ataxic gait, and is also experiencing severe electrolyte imbalances that predispose him to life-threatening arrhythmias. His condition remains extremely critical, with very severe, persistent hypoglycemic episodes, and, due to swallowing difficulties resulting from muscle weakness, he has developed aspiration into the respiratory tract and hypoxemia. The generalized, severe muscle weakness has also affected the respiratory muscles and the muscles of the face and eyes. He is being administered inhaled bronchodilators and oxygen via a nasal cannula. His condition is extremely serious and steadily worsening, and the ongoing complications make it life-threatening. His condition is extremely critical, he now weighs just 35 kg, and his life hangs by a thread. L’operazione “ipogeo”, dal nome della via che precede il carcere di Piazza Lanza, vede coinvoltx 16 imputatx, tre dellx quali sono statx postx in carcere in via cautelare a novembre scorso ... non smetteremo mai di mostrare e praticare la solidarietà per chi è colpitx dalla repressione e per chi lotta ogni giorno contro l'esistente,.. È paradossale  che lo stato, istituzione violenta per eccellenza, signore della guerra che uccide nelle carceri e nei CPR, nelle campagne, che devasta e saccheggia i nostri territori, accusi di violenza, terrorismo o strage chi cerca in ogni forma di resistere e lottare praticando forme di vita libera con uno sguardo d'amore verso chiunque... piante, animali e rocce.  La repressione agita dallo stato, non è altro che una risposta dettata dalla paura che le sue istituzioni, le sue regole, speculazioni e profitti vengano messi in crisi. Non smetteremo mai di mostrare e praticare la solidarietà per chi è colpitx dalla repressione e per chi lotta ogni giorno contro l'esistente.  Ci stringiamo affinché il nostro agire possa non essere solo in risposta alla repressione ma nella costante costruzione di legami e complicità, affinchè le nostre radici rompano le loro strade e i loro muri.
