In the Gaza Strip, we are witnessing a phenomenon that I think surprises everyone. Of course, we entered Gaza, we are closing in on Hamas, and it was said that 'Hamas will now be protected, it will be immune', the exact opposite is happening.
We are also settling accounts with those murderers who murdered our people, our daughters, our women and our children on October 7. And we are settling accounts with those who still remain. Not many remain, because we are dealing with them. When we tell the terrorists, 'No one is immune. We will reach all of you,' you are actually putting that into practice.
The enemy is not static, and things change. The desire of Iran and its proxies to destroy the State of Israel, that desire has not disappeared, it has simply weakened. Their ability to carry it out has been very severely degraded. We have done most of the work, but there is still work left to complete — and we will complete it.
We will eliminate Hamas, and first and foremost, we will defeat the regime in Iran. We will bring it down. It will fall. We will also deal with Hezbollah, and it too will fall.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara, today (Wednesday, 16 September 2026), attended the cornerstone-laying ceremony for a memorial dedicated to fallen members of the Arabic-speaking Christian community, in the Lavi Forest near the Golani Junction.
Excerpts from Prime Minister Netanyahu's remarks [translated from Hebrew]:
"We are facing a global attack against the State of Israel and the Israel Defense Forces. In this attack, the State of Israel and Israeli soldiers are portrayed not only as perpetrators of war crimes, which is the most absurd thing imaginable to say about the most moral army in the world, but they are also portrayed as persecuting minorities.
At the heart of this vast region, where there is no compassion and no acceptance, where there is so much hostility, so much extremism, so much persecution and destruction of those who are different, the State of Israel is like an island: an island of progress, an island of tolerance and an island of security.
I say this regarding all communities, but just recently we fought in Sweida to save our Druze brothers from total slaughter, and we protect them to this day.
And regarding the Christian community, the State of Israel is the only place in the Middle East where the Christian community flourishes and grows, the only one. Everywhere else, they are persecuted, they emigrate, or they are slaughtered. Only here do they find their place, a home we all share.
You know this, but the world is being swept along by the big lie. If the big lie is repeated again and again and again, that lie becomes accepted as truth.

An extensive chapter on the activities of the Accountant General’s Department in the areas of construction and management of state assets, including the Government Construction Administration, Government Housing Administration and Government Vehicle Administration. The chapter provides information on the structure of the administrations, their objectives, strategic goals and the status of key projects.
State Land:
The financial statements include balance-sheet balances for state land amounting to NIS 1,138 billion, compared with NIS 1,133 billion in the previous year. The amounts presented in this note refer to land owned by the State and by the Development Authority and managed by the Israel Land Authority. The estimated value of the land was calculated according to a methodology developed by the Accountant General’s Department in cooperation with the Israel Land Authority and the Appraisal Division of the Ministry of Justice.

The financial statements present the assets, liabilities, revenues and expenditures of the State of Israel. The key to preserving assets and meeting all of the government’s obligations is prudent and disciplined fiscal management, alongside increased investment in infrastructure, housing and technology projects. The 2025 financial statements include notes and special chapters, addressing, among other things, the following topics:
Impacts of the Swords of Iron War:
A summary of measures taken to finance the costs of the war, National Insurance Institute support for victims of hostilities, compensation from the Property Tax Fund, the activities of the “Tkuma” Administration in the Gaza envelope and the “Tnufa to the North” Administration, alternative housing assistance, and additional actions carried out by the Accountant General’s Department to ensure the continuity of economic activity.
Government Liability for the Budgetary Pension:
The liability for the budgetary pension in 2025 amounts to NIS 723 billion, compared with NIS 716 billion in the previous year. The main change stems from the accumulation of indexation and interest, offset by pension benefit payments.
Public-Private Partnership Projects:
A chapter detailing government investments in projects carried out in partnership with the private sector. These projects are driving the development of infrastructure in the State of Israel on a scale of tens of billions of shekels. The projects detailed in the chapter cover the fields of transportation, water, energy, environment and construction.
Government Housing Programs:
An extensive chapter on government programs and actions in the housing sector, including government measures in the areas of planning, development of housing-supporting infrastructure and the removal of barriers, land marketing, long-term rental housing, “Apartment at a Discount,” and more. The Accountant General at the Ministry of Finance, CPA Michal Abadi-Boiangiu, yesterday (Tuesday, 15 September 2026) published the consolidated financial statements of the State of Israel for 2025. The statements present a comprehensive and transparent picture of the financial activities, assets and liabilities of the various state entities. In accordance with governmental accounting standards, the statements consolidate data from 209 entities, including government ministries, state authorities, government companies and statutory corporations.
Key Data - Assets and Liabilities:
Total state assets: Approximately NIS 2,167 billion - including state land of approximately NIS 1,138 billion, property, plant and equipment and intangible assets of approximately NIS 602 billion, and investments in PPP projects of approximately NIS 53 billion.
Total state liabilities: Approximately NIS 3,903 billion - including domestic and external loans of approximately NIS 1,464 billion, National Insurance Institute liabilities to insured persons of approximately NIS 1,286 billion, and liabilities for employee benefits of approximately NIS 759 billion.

Director General of the Israel Atomic Energy Commission (IAEC), Moshe Edri, at the IAEA 70th General Conference: The State of Israel will not sit idle in light of threats to destroy it — we acted to ensure our survival in the past, and we will do it again if needed.
Between September 15-18, 2026, the 70th Annual General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is taking place in Vienna, Austria. The Israeli delegation to the conference is headed by the Director General of the Israel Atomic Energy Commission (IAEC), Moshe Edri, accompanied by representatives from the IAEC and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The IAEC Director General delivered a statement today [Tuesday, 15 September 2026], as every year, as part of the general debate at the Conference. He dedicated his statement this year to recent regional developments, with an emphasis on Iran and Syria. Additionally, the statement referenced Israel's solid cooperation with the IAEA on the aspects of nuclear safety, security, and peaceful nuclear applications.
Below are highlights from the statement delivered by IAEC Director General Moshe Edri, head of the Israeli delagation to the IAEA 70th General Conference, today, 15 September 2026, in Vienna, Austria:
In his statement, the IAEC Director General addressed Iran's negative regional and global role, listing Iran's undermining of security and stability through threats to destroy Israel and attack neighboring countries and American forces; an actual attack on civilian nuclear facilities using drones; and the launching of rockets and missiles against civilian infrastructure carried out through proxies such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis.
The IAEC Director General addressed the resolution adopted over a year ago by the IAEA Board of Governors, finding Iran in non-compliance with its safeguard obligations, and noted that Iran is further exacerbating the situation by preventing, for over a year, the access of IAEA inspectors to the nuclear facilities that are supposed to be verified pursuant to Iran's agreement with the IAEA – a matter that led the Board of Governors to report the issue to the UN Security Council. The radical regime in Iran continues to build infrastructure for missile production while simultaneously attempting to advance its military nuclear program, in violation of UN Security Council resolutions. The IAEC Director General emphasized that the State of Israel will not sit idle in light of threats to destroy it, and that the region and the entire world will be safer with Iran not having a military nuclear program. We have acted to ensure our survival in the past, and we will do it again if needed.
Regarding the Syrian issue, the IAEC Director General noted the IAEA report on Syrian efforts under the Assad regime, including the clandestine construction of a reactor in Dair Alzour, which proves that the statements and actions of the State of Israel against Syria's secret nuclear weapons program were indeed correct and sound. Had Israel not acted at the time against the reactor built in Syria, the Assad regime would at present already possess military nuclear capabilities.
On the occasion of IAEA's 70th anniversary, the IAEC Director General congratulated the IAEA and its Director General on the agency's achievements over seven decades, and noted the numerous and beneficial areas of cooperation between the State of Israel and IAEA, with an emphasis on nuclear security and safety, and peaceful nuclear applications.

On September 11, 2026, President Isaac Herzog sent a message on the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on the United States of America from Israel's 9/11 Living Memorial in the Jerusalem Hills.
President Isaac Herzog:
“Twenty-five years have passed since the blue skies of the morning of 9/11, September 11, 2001, in New York were shattered by the horrific sight of the twin towers crashing to the ground.
“Standing at Israel's memorial to the victims of 9/11, here in the hills of Jerusalem, we bow our heads in memory of the thousands who were murdered on that dark day in New York, at the Pentagon, and in the fields of Pennsylvania. We pray for the wounded and their healing. We salute the families of those who lost loved ones, and we continue to bear witness to their sacrifice. In accordance with the directive of the Prime Minister and the Defense Minister, the IDF has now destroyed the underground infrastructure of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the Ali Taher ridge, thereby completing the consolidation of the security zone in southern Lebanon.
This was strategic terror infrastructure built over two decades, with Iranian funding and planning. The terror infrastructure and the command center on the ridge were designed to serve as the staging base for the conquest of the Galilee, and had observation and fire dominance over Metula and Kiryat Shmona. Their destruction completes the achievement of operational control over the Ali Taher ridge – above and below ground.
IDF forces are deploying for defense in the area and to prevent enemy forces from returning to the territory.
The IDF will remain in the security zone and will continue destroying terror infrastructure and thwarting any attempt by the Hezbollah terrorist organization to re-establish itself and restore its capabilities.
