Early on, Musk called doctors in Wuhan and asked what mistakes they made in the first wave. They told him they had put far too many patients on mechanical ventilators for extended periods. Musk then posted on Twitter at the time, stating that what was damaging many patients’ lungs wasn’t just the virus, it was the treatment itself. In his words, “the cure is worse than the disease” in those cases.
People immediately attacked him for not being a doctor.
Musk’s reply was direct: he designs spaceships with complex life support systems. He understands pressurized oxygen delivery, lung tissue response to positive pressure, and what happens when you force air into lungs for too long. Meanwhile, many of his critics were simply “twiddling knobs” without that engineering context.
Musk’s point was never that he was playing doctor. It was that real-world feedback from Wuhan combined with his experience in life-critical systems gave him relevant insight that was being ignored at the time. The data that later emerged on ventilator-induced lung injury largely aligned with what he had already posted.

He highlighted how the shots can interfere with dozens of signaling and metabolic pathways that drive cancer when overstimulated. Most concerning, he said, is the ability to bind to and switch off key tumor suppressor genes such as P53, BRCA, and MSH. This can dramatically accelerate cancer in people who already carry mutations in these genes.
Coleman shared personal examples of close friends who developed explosive cancers (melanoma and myeloma) within weeks of a booster they didn’t medically need. In nearly 40 years of practice, he said he had never seen this sudden “boom” presentation before.
He argued that mRNA technology is fundamentally unsuitable for vaccines because it can integrate randomly into the genome, making it gene therapy rather than traditional vaccination. He called for an immediate ban on all mRNA vaccines, especially for children, describing their continued use as criminal medical negligence and “the crime of the century.
