(Ephesians 1:22) 📜 ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY PLAN 1 KINGS 22, 2 CHRONICLES 18 🖊️ COMMENTARY Divine favour operates by God's timing. When your set time comes, no force, physical or spiritual, can stop what God has ordained for your life. Abraham and Sarah were old, and by human logic, childbearing was impossible. Yet, God declared a set time and when it came, Isaac was born. In Egypt, the Israelites suffered for years, but when their time came, they multiplied and were delivered with wealth and honour. Favour cancels delay and overrides opposition. It is not about qualifications but divine positioning. Esther was an orphan, but at the set time, she was crowned queen. Joseph was a prisoner, but one day, he became prime minister. That is favour at work. Your time of favour is not decided by people, not at all, it is appointed by God. And when it comes, every barrier breaks, and every closed door opens. Man weighs situations in balance and filters negativities from all human endeavours and concludes that some situations are better allowed to stay or managed. But, God's approach to several matters of life is different and so is His conclusion. Problems of life can make a person think that certain situations are beyond God. Even Abraham laughed at the following promise of God to his family: "And I will bless her, and give you a son also of her.. and she shall be a mother of nations; and kings of the people shall be of her (Genesis 17:16). Humanly speaking, he rightly questioned "... Shall a child be born unto him that is a hundred years old? And, Sarah that is ninety-year-old bear?" The answer to Abraham's question is YES! Listen, friends, God has a plan and purpose for your life on earth. Despite the ugly situations you are passing through at the moment, a great future lies ahead of you in God. God shall surely bring it to pass. Cancel all negative thoughts and conclusions you made in your life and cling onto God. All things are possible with Him. 🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- SATURDAY 27TH JUNE, 2026 TOPIC: OUR FAITH WILL BE TESTED BY LACK 📖 FURTHER READING EXODUS 15:22–27 🔑 KEY VERSE: "And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?" (Exodus 15:24) 📜 ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY PLAN 1 KINGS 17-19 🖊️ COMMENTARY The escaping children of Israel left the Red Sea with a celebration of victory. But getting to Shur, they ran out of water for them and their animals. Remember that the pillars of cloud and of fire were still there. One thing was needed, and it was essential for survival water. About two million people are without water. In that thirsty state, they continued to Mara, where they saw water. Pouncing on it like thirsty people, they found it bitter! Forgetting everything they had experienced, including the divine presence, they began to murmur against Moses. Moses had done everything and sacrificed everything for them, but they murmured against him instead of encouraging him. Lacks test faith. Severe lack could make us forget previous or other current provisions. We could look for whom to blame if we are afraid of blaming God. It may be the pastor or the entire church leadership. Moses took the complaint to God in a cry for intervention. Shown what to do, Moses threw a tree into the bitter pool and what was poisonous became instantly healthy. They drank and their next stop was even better. When we meet the unexpected, when our pocket is empty and there is nothing in the house, when our bank account is in red, let us not lose our confidence (Heb. 10:35-36). 🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- FRIDAY 26TH JUNE, 2026 TOPIC: ABUNDANCE COULD BE A TEST OF OUR FAITH 📖 FURTHER READING EXODUS 16:11–21 🔑 KEY VERSE: "I know how to be based and how to abound: everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need." (Philippians. 4:12) 📜 ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY PLAN 1 KINGS 16, 2 CHRONICLES 17 🖊️ COMMENTARY The people of God had moved on from Elim and after about 75 days of leaving Egypt, they found themselves in the bowels of the wilderness. God decided to send them a special diet - designed and prepared in heaven (Psalms 78:25). It was not to be a one-off treat but a regular meal exclusively available to them and to no other nation. But they were to be careful to take only the portion needed for each day. That was the test. No wonder Jesus asked us to pray for each day's bread. They failed the test of abundance as they later failed the test of lack. Some took more than they needed and hoarded the extra. In the end, those who took more found they couldn't use it because it spoiled and were maggot-ridden by the morning! Some people think they will have faith when they have enough material things or when everything goes well for them. Those who trust God do so even though there is no bread but only stones (Luke 4:3-4). Paul fell into that group. Riches can make one backslide just like hardship could/ can also make one backslide. He loved his people. He wanted to know how they lived. He wanted to know about their hardships. Often he dressed in the clothes of a working man or a beggar, and went to the homes of the poor. No one whom he visited thought that he was their ruler. One time he visited a very poor man who lived in a cellar. He ate the coarse food the poor man ate. He spoke cheerful, kind words to him. Then he left. Later he visited the poor man again and disclosed his identity by saying, '"I am your king!" The king thought the man would surely ask for some gift or favor, but he didn't. Instead he said, "You left your palace and your glory to visit me in this dark, dreary place. You ate the course food I ate. You brought gladness to my heart! To others you have given your rich gifts. To me you have given yourself!" The King of glory, the Lord Jesus Christ, gave himself to you and me. The Bible calls Him, "the unspeakable gift!" The whole essence of the Christmas celebration is that God gave Himself to us. What are you willing to make out of this privilege? 🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- WEDNESDAY 24TH JUNE, 2026 TOPIC: THE GREAT AND DREADFUL GOD 📖 FURTHER READING DANIEL 9:4, ISAIAH 33:22 🔑 KEY VERSE: "Oh Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love Him" (Dan. 9:4). 📜 ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY PLAN 2 CHRONICLES 10–12 🖊️ COMMENTARY A name is any word of identification or a phrase which indicates a particular person, place, class or thing. Most names given to a person, thing or place have reasons, Others have no clear reason but are born out of tradition, custom or happenstances. When Daniel described the Almighty as a"great and dreadful God", it was not without reason. Over time and places, he has experienced the awesomeness of the creator and must have lacked the appropriate nomenclature to capture the real life experience. He simply, called Him "great and dreadful", because His ways transcend human understanding and knowledge. He must have considered the making of the slave boy who transformed into Pharaoh's father in the Pentateuch; the well- being of the Hebrew boys who fed on vegetables against the sumptuous dish of the palace; the furnace of fire that discriminates the Hebrews from the challenges as the supernatural suspended the combustion energy; the dream interpretation that benefited nothing from mental faculty nor experience; his being chosen among many Hebrews when Israel went down and finally, how the words of the old prophets and their contemporaries graphically came to fulfillment in his very eyes. He could not help but be awestricken. "The Lord is great and dreadful indeed," he concluded. Who is God to you? What is your god? What name do you call Him? Out of your personal experiences, can a new name emerge for God? And the nations will know that I am the Lord, among declares the Lord God, when through you, I vindicate my holiness before their eyes (Ezekiel 36:23, ESV). 📜 ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY PLAN 1 KINGS 12–14 🖊️ COMMENTARY How people regard and treat God before our presence is always a function of the impressions we have created of our God before their eyes. If we are fond of appearing beggarly and hopeless, we are telling the world that our Father can't take care of us. If we are always bickering and quarreling, we are implying that there is no love in the family to which we belong. If we are always complaining and do not give good offerings, we suggest that it is unfortunate for us. But when we behave wisely: when we dress in a sense of royalty; when we express love and care; when we are joyful and exuberant, the signal is quickly understood-we are kingdom ambassadors. God's word today, -is that through you, He will vindicate his holiness before the unbelievers and through you, He will teach principalities and powers the manifold wisdom of God. He says that if He is lifted in your dressing, speeches, work ethics and mannerisms, He will draw all men to himself. 🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- MONDAY 22ND JUNE, 2026 TOPIC: HOW TO OVERCOME WORRY 📖 FURTHER READING MATTHEW 6:25–34 🔑 KEY VERSE: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication," (Phil. 4:6, NKJV) 📜 ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY PLAN PROVERBS 30–31 🖊️ COMMENTARY Worry is a distraction from God and what He can do. Worry means feeling or cause to feel anxious or troubled about actual or potential problems. A Swedish proverb says, "Worry often gives a small thing a big shadow. Worry can slip into our hearts under the guise of "what if" Often we worry about necessities of life (v.25). Because of this, we chase after money and what money can buy over spiritual matters. Worry is sin, because it suggests that God is not able to deliver us from whatever is causing us to worry. Research reveals that most of us worry about: I. Money and the future. Fear about our financial security in the future II. Job Security III. Relationships IV. Health Jesus says life is more than food, clothing, and wealth (v. 25). God is able to care for us (v.26). Jesus added, worry cannot solve any problems (v. 27). Therefore, worry is useless. It is a waste of time to spend our lives in anxious pursuit of food, drinks, and clothing for the future (vv. 31-32). Worry is a kind of insult to the Lord. It reflects a lack of confidence in God and His promises. Worry lacks staying power and perseverance in commitment to God. Lean to live one day at a time. Do not worry because Jesus cares for our present and controls our future (v.34: 1 Pet. 5:7). 🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- SUNDAY 21ST JUNE, 2026 TOPIC: THE PILGRIMI'S MENTALITY 📖 FURTHER READING 1 PETER 2:11–12; HEBREWS 11:13–16, 13:14 🔑 KEY VERSE: "...They were longing for a better country a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them" (Heb. 11:16, NIV) 📜 ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY PLAN 1 KINGS 10–11, 2 CHRONICLES 9 🖊️ COMMENTARY Every true Pilgrim knows that other words used to describe him are: stranger, foreigner, alien, temporary resident, visitor, and sojourner. This is very clear to the biblical saints we read about in Hebrews chapter 11. In verse 13, the Bible says: "...embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth." The Apostle Peter, while writing in 1 Peter 2:11 says, "Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims to abstain from fleshly lust which wars against your soul." When Pharaoh in Genesis 47:9 asked Jacob how old he was. Jacob replied by saying that he was a pilgrim before he could tell Pharaoh his age. Moses in Exodus 18:3 named one of his sons, Gershom, which means, "I have become an alien in a foreign land." Joseph, before his death in Genesis 50:24- 25, made his brothers know that very soon God would visit them and take them out of Egypt to the land He promised their fathers on oath. The Bible in Hebrews 11:15 says that if the pilgrims mentioned were thinking about the country they had left, they would have gone back. But they were looking for a country of their own, a better country, a heavenly one, a city prepared by God for them. The mindset of the above pilgrims is who they are. Who are you? The person you know you are influences your thinking and your behaviour. They were pilgrims. They knew it and were careful how they lived in the land of their pilgrimage. (Romans 3:3, KJV) 📜 ONE YEAR BIBLE STUDY PLAN ECCLESIASTES 1–6 🖊️ COMMENTARY In our text, Paul poses some questions, beginning with the advantages of being a Jew and the value of being entrusted with the oracles of God. This is not merely a question of Jewish rejection of the Gospel; it addresses a timeless concern: Does human unfaithfulness cancel out God's promises? The answer is a resounding No! In verse 4, Paul affirms, "God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar..." In other words, God's faithfulness is never tied to human belief or performance. His promises are rooted in His own unchanging nature. This is a deep reassurance to the weary heart. Perhaps you have shared the Gospel and being rejected. Perhaps you have trusted someone and was let down. Maybe you have wondered, "Does this mean God's Word has failed?" Romans 3:3 answers firmlyGod's truth stands regardless of who doubts it. In Genesis 40, Joseph interpreted a dream for Pharaoh's cupbearer while in prison. It was accurate, but the man forgot him. A story was said about a lady called Zara. She gave her all to a ministry team. She was the first to show up and the last to leave. Always serving with excellence. But when leadership changed, she was overlooked, even slandered and replaced without warning. She wept privately, hurt, bitter and battered. But instead of lashing out, she took the pain to God. Months later, a pastor from another region, who had quietly noticed her faithfulness, invited her to lead a new initiative. That ministry exploded. Here's the lesson: When people forget your kindness, God archives it. When they drop you, He holds you. When they move on, God moves you forward. Beloved, people may use you, forget you, or even throw you away like yesterday's news. But God is not like people. He sees, remembers and restores. So keep serving, not for applause, but for assignment. Joshua chapter 6 records the story of Israel's conquest of Jericho. It also offers many lessons for present-day believers in Christ. Before the death of Moses, he publicly declared (under God's instruction) that Joshua would succeed him and lead Israel into the Promised Land (Num. 27:18-22). After crossing the Jordan, Jericho was the first city the Israelites conquered with Joshua as their leader. In verse 2, God assured Joshua that He has "given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valour." God further assured him that he would not conquer by natural war plans. Rather, "You shall march around the city for six days" (v. 3). Verses 4-16 contain the simple instructions to be carried out by faith and obedience. At their compliance and obedience, the miracle occurred (v. 20). The priests sounded the trumpet, the people shouted with a great shout, and the wall fell down flat (v. 5). Lessons for us: 👉🏽 God keeps His promises 👉🏽God can help us overcome obstacles that prevent us from following His will. 👉🏽 God fights battles alongside us. Therefore, we must not rely on our own strength and wisdom. 👉🏽We need God's presence daily as we journey to our "Promised Land'" Beloved, you can conquer any wall of Jericho today.
