Patriotic Alternative are pleased to announce that we are currently supporting the families of political prisoners who were targeted for their involvement in the Southampton protests, following the murder of Henry Nowak. Patriotic Alternative have gifted £1000 to the family of Matthew Styler, as part of our fundraiser for the families of political prisoners. Father and husband, Matt Styler, was sitting on a wall at a protest in Southampton when riot police, without warning, moved their lines past him. When he failed to move with sufficient speed, due to the 13 pins in his ankle, they began beating him with their fists, knees and riot shields. The attack was completely unprovoked and extremely traumatic for a man suffering from PTSD after his military service. For defending himself, he has been charged with the crime of "assaulting an emergency worker" and has been remanded in custody until November. Styler pleaded "not guilty" to his charge. The video of Styler's attack has been circulated widely on social media and is being used as an example of heavy-handed police brutality towards our people. Patriotic Alternative Wales Last Saturday, members from PA Wales and neighbouring regions went to Hereford to learn more about it's 1400 year old, rich Christian heritage. The Cathedral there houses the Mappa Mundi and a chained library full of ancient history. After lunch, they visited a megalithic dolmen named ‘Arthur’s Stone’, where the legendary Welsh King supposedly wrestled with a giant. Afterwards they visited another church in Kilpeck, famous for its amazing stone sculptures, including a prominent Sheelanigig female fertility symbol and amazing ornate arches with Danish style knotwork, Templar symbols and a Green Man. The day was finished off with a hearty meal at the local Inn, where the Landlady was kind enough to seat them in their private dining area.
