Wrong answer: - Undefined - x = 1 Explanation : When obtaining the value of x = 1 by simplifying the fraction, if the value is plugged back into the equation it would be from (x-1)(x-1) ————— = 0 (x-1) to (1-1)(1-1) ————— = 0 (1-1) resulting in 0 — = 0 0 And the statement is simply false because anything divided by 0 is undefined. Although, we cannot mark the answer as undefined since undefined simply means a value is not allowed whilst ‘no solution’ tells us there is no value that makes the equation true Hence, answer to the question is NO SOLUTION
