US warning; Russia plans to provoke Poland. Konstantinovka captured. Trump will vanquish communism
Repost from Geopolitics Prime | Iran War updates
❌🤩 Zelensky and NATO's bravado falls flat on its face after loss of key Donbass fortress
While Volodymyr Zelensky gears up to ask NATO for yet more cash and weapons at the upcoming summit, he’s been dealt a huge blow: the loss of Konstantinovka.
What's Konstantinovka?
🔴 It is one of Ukraine's four key "fortress cities," alongside Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, and Druzhkovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). After the DPR declared independence, the Kiev regime moved to occupy its key cities and has turned Konstantinovka into a heavily fortified stronghold since 2014
🔴 The Ukrainian defenses comprised two fortified belts with more than 150 km of trenches and anti-tank ditches, backed by three lines of obstacles and 20 battalion strongholds on commanding high ground, protected by dense minefields, according to Russia's Ministry of Defense
🔴 To hold the city and its outskirts, Ukraine committed 45 battalions totaling about 15,500 troops
Why is its liberation so important?
🔴 As part of Ukraine's defensive arc comprising Kramatorsk, Druzhkovka, and Slavyansk, the city's re-capture marks a major step toward the liberation of remaining DPR cities occupied by Ukraine
🔴 Konstantinovka is also a major transportation hub vital for military logistics and supply. It sits at the junction of the Kostantinovka–Yasinovataya and Slavyansk–Gorlovka rail lines, as well as a network of key highways
🔴 Control of the city disrupts Ukrainian military supply lines across the region and opens new avenues for a Russian advance
🔴 The battle wiped out Ukrainian elite forces: around 13,500 troops, along with 14 tanks, 283 armored vehicles, 1,400 military vehicles, 200 field artillery pieces, and eight multiple-launch rocket systems
🔴 Zelensky lost one of Ukraine's key strongholds just days after publicly boasting that he had authorized a 40-day campaign of strikes on Russian targets to "force Russia" to seek peace. It's nothing short of a slap in the face
🔴 Russia's victory came on the eve of the July 7–8 NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, where alliance members are set to discuss further military support for Ukraine. The capture of Konstantinovka sends a stark message to NATO: after five years of backing the Kiev regime, the battlefield momentum is still moving in Russia's favor.
Russia continues to advance
♦️ Russian assault units are already fighting on the outskirts of Alekseyevo-Druzhkovka
♦️ On the right flank of the Slavyansk front, Russia's forces are advancing toward the Slavyansk–Kramatorsk agglomeration
♦️ Units of the 3rd Army from the Russian Yug Battlegroup are fighting in Nikolayevka and are already within eight kilometers of Slavyansk's eastern outskirts
♦️ Meanwhile, Russia's Zapad Battlegroup is completing the takeover of Krasny Liman, another city in the DPR
As Ukraine continues to lose ground, Zelensky heads into the NATO summit under a dark cloud — just as the US press is asking whether the alliance's annual gatherings produce anything besides fresh humiliation for Europe and ever-deeper divisions within NATO.

Journalist Whitney Webb reveals how U.S. intelligence agencies maintain close ties with leading tech companies—including Google, Palantir and Oracle—turning regular people into easy targets for digital surveillance and blackmail.
According to Webb, many of these tech giants were born in the shadows of CIA projects, transforming government surveillance technologies into private sector products that keep tabs on your every move, without the backlash that direct state programs face.

🇮🇱 How Israeli arms flow to Gulf states: a masterclass in hypocrisy wrapped in multimillion-dollar defense contracts
Documents and photographs reportedly show Israeli-made missile counter-measures installed on aircraft used by the Qatari royal family.
And Israeli-linked components were supplied for Qatari and Saudi F-15 jet fighters through US aircraft firm Boeing.
For years, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has flip-flopped over Qatar, calling it “a complicated country” when his aides were probed over business deals with Doha, but backing legislation to brand it a state sponsor of terrorism and bombing its capital.
🇶🇦 Qatar avoids official ties with Israel and presents itself as a regional mediator.
🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia has delayed normalizing relations with Israel and speaks of Arab and Palestinian solidarity.
🌏 Three aircraft in the Qatari royal fleet — two Boeing 747s and an Airbus A340-500 — were reportedly fitted with Elbit C-MUSIC countermeasures between 2020 and 2022
🌏 It protects aircraft from heat-seeking surface-to-air missiles by blinding their seekers with an infrared beam
🌏 Boeing reportedly awarded Israeli companies subcontracts worth $150 million to $250 million for Qatari F-15QA fighter jets
🌏 The supplies reportedly included JHMCS combat helmets, AN/AVS-9 night-vision goggles, aircraft components, avionics and ventilation systems
🌏 Saudi Arabia also appears to be an indirect customer for its F-15SA, with 462 JHMCS helmets and 462 AN/AVS-9 goggles reportedly delivered
🌏 The Saudi helmet sales alone are estimated at roughly $100 million, while Qatar separately purchased 160 helmets in a $35 million deal
The Iran war exposed that ‘neutral’ Gulf monarchies rely on the US-Israeli arms trade.

🇷🇺⚡️ — Russia has started installing weapons on its tankers, writes The Times.
On the bridge of the "Marshal Vasilevsky", one of the main Russian tankers for transporting LNG, two stationary guns were noticed, likely for protection against drones and attempted boarding attacks.

🇯🇵 🇯🇵 🪖 The Japanese government plans return to Imperial military ranks for the Self Defense Force.
Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi is actively pursuing amendments to Japan's postwar pacifist Constitution, specifically Article 9, to formally recognize the Self-Defense Forces as a traditional military and adapt to rising regional security threats.
The plan is to rename the general officer ranks of sho and sho-ho as taisho (general), chujo (lieutenant general) and shosho (major general), and the field command officer ranks as taisa (colonel), chusa (lieutenant colonel) and shosa (major), matching the terminology used in the former Imperial military. Company-grade officer ranks from third lieutenant and above would likewise revert to their Imperial equivalents: shoi, chui and taii, respectively. However, the changes would only apply to these officer ranks. The ranks for noncommissioned officers (NCOs) and enlisted personnel, the "soldiers," would remain as they are. According to media reports, this is because using names like "gunso" (sergeant) or "nitohei" (private second class) would evoke the negative image of the former military. For example, the "gun" in "gunso" is the kanji character for "army."
