| 16 | 💥US MOVE Index Must Crash to 70–80 for Market Recovery💥
The US MOVE Index should crash to its normal level of 70–80, which is considered a normal range. However, if it remains elevated above 100, it means that anytime it spikes, we could see sharp selling from FIIs, putting pressure on our market.
Next week, the MOVE Index should crash very quickly. Only then can we expect a recovery in our market. If the MOVE Index remains elevated, the risk will always be high.
In March 2026, when the Iran–US war started, the MOVE Index shot up to 115, and we witnessed heavy selling by FIIs, with Nifty 50 falling to the 22,000 level.
However, in April 2026, the MOVE Index crashed below 80 within one week, and we saw a strong rally in our market. Many investors who had invested in emerging sectors and high-growth stocks saw their portfolios recover by 20% to 30% in just one month.
Now, whether Nifty 50 can break the 22,000 level depends on the MOVE Index. If it rises again from its current level, there is a high probability that Nifty 50 could break below 22,000. Similarly, if the MOVE Index crashes from here, we could see a short-term recovery in Nifty 50.
I am saying short-term recovery because FIIs will continue selling even after the MOVE Index crashes, although the intensity of selling may reduce.
Our Nifty 50 will continue to underperform because India lacks high-growth AI companies among its large-cap stocks. The growth of our large-cap companies is very low compared to that of US AI-focused large-cap companies.👇 | 1 970 |
| 17 | FII SELLING INTENSIFIED DUE TO HIGH MOVE INDEX.
On the night of 6th October, the MOVE Index suddenly shot up to 114, but its impact did not come to the Indian market on 7th October because US and Indian market timings are different. So, a sharp rise in the MOVE Index will not reflect in our market immediately.
Yesterday, I was surprised when I saw less FII selling even after the MOVE Index had reached 114.
Today, heavy FII selling has indicated the impact of the sharp rise in the MOVE Index and the increase in FII selling intensity. There can be a 1–2 day difference in selling.
If the MOVE Index falls below 100, we can see a reduction in FII selling.
If FII selling is less than ₹3,000 crore, our market can remain green because DIIs have the power to counter such small FII selling.
I have observed that FII selling intensifies only when the MOVE Index crosses above 100.
Regarding the MOVE Index, I have already explained this in detail in my new YouTube video.
Today, TCS announced its Q2 result, and again we are seeing single-digit growth.
Why will FIIs invest heavily in Indian large-cap companies where growth is expected to remain in single digits?
AI revolution has changed the Indian market structure.
Now, only one thing is becoming increasingly important:
GROWTH. GROWTH. GROWTH.
This is why stocks like Sterlite Technologies and Cupid Ltd can continue to make all-time highs even at high P/E valuations when the market sees strong future growth.
If you buy low-growth stocks in this market simply because a stock has corrected a lot or because its P/E looks attractive, based on the thinking promoted by social media influencers, you can get trapped for a long time.
Many IT stocks are now available at attractive valuations, but the important question is:
WHAT WILL BE THE FUTURE GROWTH?
A low P/E alone is not a reason to buy a stock.
