Well, it's been a horrid May for sun. WTH? I thought April Showers made May Flowers? So May has been overcast and raining. Last night I finally lost against my battery.... we had to start buying power. But hey, last month I exported 580kwh to the grid, which i'm "buying back" now. Around midnight the system connected to the grid 3 times for an hour each. It's daylight now and we're just breaking even. It's the first time in 2 or 3 months I've exhausted the battery to the point we had to connect.

Traditional Housing Construction In South Korea

Well I visited a home that got sold panels. The installation was good, all up to code and proper. The engineering was good... the system could make 100% of their annual usage. The problem is the salesman wasn't honest about shading nor putting panels on 4 sides of their hip roof. If they had installed this system facing south with no shade, they'd make 34800kwh a year ($4700). If there was no shade but the panels were placed as they were on four sides of the house, the same system would make 23419kwh ($3162). But because of shade they made 3000kwh ($405) last year. This is where the problem comes in.... some salesman shows you a computer model that shows you are gunna make $4700 in electricty and doesnt mention that the model doesn't include the panels facing 4 different directions or shade from the neighbor's mature trees. There's a part of me that says shame on a person for buying something they don't understand, but then again, they don't know who to ask or where to learn more. It's not so much that a sucker is born every day, but that there's a SOB who's sleeping at night after taking money from these people.
