Putin’s birthday wet job 26.10.07 Anna Politkovskaya was killed in Moscow 20 years ago, on Putin’s birthday. The investigative journalist had uncovered and exposed the real Putin. This is how she described Putin:
He doesn’t understand the people. He is a true Soviet KGB officer. A bit of an antisemite, a bit of a fascist. Not very intelligent. And he does not understand that people have rights. He is a president who simply doesn’t give a damn about his own citizens.
Twenty years after her murder, the EU once again called for all those responsible to be identified and brought to justice. Six people were convicted in Russia for their involvement in the crime, but those who ordered the killing have still not been found. Video: BBC

Ukrainian drones hit the Volodarskaya oil depot in Moscow Oblast, reportedly setting at least two fuel tanks on fire.
The facility is the largest oil depot in Moscow Oblast by storage capacity and a major fuel-distribution hub supplying Moscow’s airports.

The Trump administration’s Ukraine talks with Russia have expanded to include a multibillion-dollar deal for Lukoil’s international assets.
Putin raised the deal with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner during a Sept. 5 Kremlin meeting, presenting it as a way to rebuild U.S.-Russia business ties. The leading bidder is a group involving Trump donor Todd Boehly, Qatar-based investors with business ties to Kushner, an Abu Dhabi fund linked to Sheikh Tahnoon, and the U.S. government. There is no indication Kushner or Witkoff would personally profit, but the overlapping business relationships have raised conflict-of-interest concerns. Source: NYT

Putin the liar 26.10.02 Putin:
The Russian military has always been guided by the inviolability of the rules of warfare and has never been the first to deliberately attack civilian infrastructure facilities.

Putin threatens nuclear war again: If it comes to a direct attack on Russia, on Kaliningrad, the question of using all the weapons we have will immediately arise.

Putin: Whatever the scenario that will happen in the future, unfortunately, it’s very likely that international conflicts will continue.

Putin: We have to think on how to maintain global peace and security. Right now, many previous rules have been cast aside, and the new rules are not yet emerging.

Russia has no intentions of peace: We see no voices of reason calling for dialogue or a rectification of the situation; this makes it necessary for us to consistently pursue the special military operation in order to fully, one hundred percent, safeguard our national interests - Peskov

🗣️ Kadyrov has urged Chechen men to trim their beards and women not to cover themselves completely with veils. He criticised men who grow long beards while skipping Friday prayers and mosques, and women adopting fully covering Arab-style clothing. Kadyrov stressed that the burqa was never traditional in Chechnya.
⚠️ Context. Chechnya is a predominantly Muslim republic in Russia’s North Caucasus, ruled by Ramzan Kadyrov since 2007. Religion plays a highly visible role in public life, but Kadyrov stresses that Chechen customs should remain distinct from Arab practices. Very long beards and full-face coverings may therefore be viewed by the authorities not simply as signs of religiosity, but as symbols of imported Salafi influence. His message is essentially: be observant Muslims — but in an authentically Chechen way.

Putin moved Russia’s annual Valdai foreign policy conference from Sochi to the Moscow area over security concerns about Ukrainian drone strikes, according to people familiar with the decision.
The change was reportedly made at the insistence of Putin’s security service after Ukraine intensified long-range attacks on targets around the Black Sea. Putin has not visited Sochi since October 2025 and has increasingly avoided Russian cities within range of Ukrainian drones. Source: FT

St. Petersburg gasoline crisis: Only 55 out of 175 stations had fuel, drivers waiting up to 7 hours, fights breaking out in queues.
It is caused by Ukrainian drone strikes knocking out the region's main refinery in Kirishi. Black market fuel hitting 600–750 rubles per liter. A taxi driver told Radio Svoboda: We're living under siege. Authorities say relief may not come until October. Third fuel crisis this year for Russia's second-largest city.

India's Prime Minister Modi once again urged Putin to bring an end to the war against Ukraine during bilateral talks on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in New Delhi. Modi "reiterated that dialogue and diplomacy remain the way forward in resolving conflicts, and India stands ready to assist in peace efforts," India's Foreign Ministry said.

Putin on Germany:
I heard how the current authorities in that same Germany say that they are following the course of Germany’s former leadership, including mentioning the name of Helmut Kohl. I knew Kohl. I can firmly say that I did not see him having the same views as those held by today’s leadership of the CDU. He simply did not have those views. Kohl believed that the future of Europe and the Federal Republic of Germany could only be secured if there were close neighborly and allied relations with Russia.

Putin:
Why would we threaten European countries? Nobody even considers the fact that we have no grounds whatsoever for any kind of conflict with Europe. All issues were resolved following the outcome of the Second World War.

Putin:
Today’s Western leaders are frightening their populations with an imaginary threat from Russia, allegedly inherited from the Soviet era. No — there is no such threat, and there never was.

Putin:
What are they pushing their peoples and their countries toward today? Toward war with the Russian Federation. Now they are talking about the possibility of sending troops into Ukrainian territory. That means war with Russia.

🏅 Akhmat Kadyrov has been awarded the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland,” 2nd Class. The decree was signed by the president. The son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov serves as Deputy Prime Minister of the republic and Minister of Sport.
⚠️ Context. Akhmat Kadyrov is only 20 and has risen unusually quickly through Chechnya’s political hierarchy: he became sports minister in 2024 and deputy prime minister in January 2026. 🏛️ He is Ramzan Kadyrov’s eldest son and was named after his grandfather, Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov, the first president of postwar Chechnya and the central figure of the republic’s official political mythology. 🇷🇺 In August, the younger Kadyrov was also named a Hero of the Chechen Republic, adding to a growing collection of state and regional honours at a remarkably young age. The broader pattern of senior posts and awards going to members of the Kadyrov family has made such appointments and decorations a recurring subject of attention in Russia.
