I recently had a chance to speak with an IELTS Writing examiner, and she highly recommended this book.
She mentioned that many students struggle not because of a lack of ideas, but because of the way they use English. They often make their writing unnecessarily wordy or overly complicated. This is also what you say a lot.
The picture includes some examples of clearer and more effective word choices that can help improve writing.
Even well-prepared candidates can underperform because of anxiety and pressure. Watch this video to learn practical ways to handle exam stress and show your true ability on test day.

Don't believe everything you find on the internet.
In my tomorrow's speech, I'll talk about some harmful suggestions that often mislead students (listening to english at 1.5x speed ❌, using templates in writing ❌, etc)

You’ve taken another mock test but the result is still the same?! You spend hours on IELTS Actual Listening and Reading tests but your score doesn’t change much?! Then it’s time to have a short break and try something different.
If regular practice doesn’t help you much, it’s recommended to focus on theory for a couple of weeks.
This book has 25 units only; it’s possible to read it within 13 days (2 units per day). Sometimes you just need to stop practising for a while and look for the source of your problems in English (not in IELTS).
Spend 2 weeks on this book written by Diana Hopkins and Pauline Cullen. It’ll definitely meet your expectations.
