🗣 Following Irène's discovery, the voices of the CEA scientists grew louder, protesting against the plan to use the blue matter as a weapon of war.
Tensions arose within the scientific community over the legitimacy of the project.
Irène decided to remain at the CEA as a spy, while continuing her experiments.
🐭 She relied on her faithful little companions to gather intelligence and keep her fellow supporters of the Resistance as well informed as possible.
She would work in the shadows, with Eve by her side - her sister, who had by then become a diplomat.

🔥 In 1945, under pressure from scientists, the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) was established.
Officially, the CEA was dedicated to fundamental research. Unofficially, the Curie frequency was being studied there.
👁 Irène could no longer ignore her intuition.
They were being used; something was being prepared without their knowledge, and she was determined to find out what it was.
With the help of her husband, she allowed her mice to enter and search offices that had become off-limits.
🐭 The little blue ninjas returned with documents. Irène hurriedly went through them.
Then her gaze froze and her blood ran cold: plans for weapons of war.
It was unthinkable to Irène that her work, and especially her mother's, should be used for such a purpose.
It was obvious to her what she needed to do: wage an internal struggle.

😮 This colourful city has the lot - incredible food, many unusual and unique sculptures (portals of course) and quick access to some world class archeological sites - like the pyramids at Museo de Sitio Huaca Pucllana, pictured here.
💙 And this weekend, it also had an Ingress Mission Day! Agents got chance to unwind after the anomaly day and explore the best of the city. They reported it was one to remember for a lifetime.

☀️ Still in the middle of the heat wave, agents welcomed a slower pace on Sunday, exploring Geneva through Mission Day and taking plenty of ice cream breaks along the way 🍦
🇺🇳 Some of the highlights included the Palais des Nations, home to the European headquarters of the United Nations.
🌳 Nearby, the Jardin Botanique offered shady paths and a chance to escape the summer heat among thousands of plant species from around the world.
⏰ Agents also passed through the Jardin Anglais to visit the famous Flower Clock, a symbol of Geneva’s long watchmaking tradition, before making their way to the Promenade des Bastions, known for its tree-lined walkways, giant chess boards, and relaxed atmosphere.
Looks like Mission Day was the perfect way to round out the Geneva anomaly weekend! ❤️
