For years, we imagined the AI future as a simple progression:
Human intelligence → AI → artificial general intelligence → superintelligence
But what if that map is already obsolete?
The critical transition may not be the moment when AI becomes smarter than humans
It may be the moment when AI becomes good enough to help create the next generation of AI
That changes everything
We are no longer talking only about humans building more powerful machines. We are beginning to see AI systems participate in coding, scientific research, experimentation, evaluation and the development of future AI systems
and that creates a feedback loop:
Human intelligence → advanced AI → AI improves AI → increasingly capable AI → superintelligent AI → consequences we cannot predict
This is where the conversation becomes uncomfortable
Maybe the question is no longer, when will AI become superintelligent?
Maybe the more important question is, what happens when the rate at which AI improves is increasingly determined by AI itself?
That is the real Singularity question
and if that feedback loop becomes sufficiently powerful, humanity could find itself in a situation where Tech progress is no longer moving at a speed that human institutions, governments or even human understanding can follow
This does not mean extinction is inevitable
It means something more unsettling and that is we may be approaching a transition for which we do not yet know how to define the finish line
and that is precisely why the most controversial question deserves to be asked:
What happens if the intelligence we create eventually becomes better at creating intelligence than we are?

TON blockchain has raised its decentralization threshold, so now 90 independent entities would need to coordinate to disrupt consensus.
This means TON is now more decentralized than many major Layer-1s, including high-throughput network such as Solana and Avalanche.
Ultimately, infra that is difficult to control is a prerequisite for mainstream adoption and TON continues to move in that direction.
