An interesting fact:
At its largest extent, the Russian controlled area of Northern Donetsk oblast spanned from Ridkodub to Svyatohirsk and Drobysheve, at over 700 square kilometres.
Now, this same area contains only 358 square kilometres of definitive Russian control.

Following significant further Russian infiltrations, the fortress town of Mala Tokmachka is now approx. 30% Russian controlled, with the rest of the town in the grey zone.
Utilising their consolidation in the southern part of Orikhiv, Russian forces were able to begin infiltrations toward Preobrazhenka from this direction, overwhelming Ukrainian defences that were already attempting to repel infiltrations through Mala Tokmachka itself.
If Mala Tokmachka falls, Orikhiv is in significant trouble, as Russian forces will be able to develop a substantial eastern flank stretching from Chervona Krynytsya (where infiltrations have occured) to Preobrazhenka. | 622 |
