With the NUS Achievement Awards (NAA) applications opening in just two weeks, now is the time to start preparing. We know that putting together an award application can feel challenging, and we want to help you put your best foot forward.
Applications for the six competitive award categories run from 1–31 Jul 2026. It is open to all NUS students with outstanding student life contributions during AY2025/26. Yes, this includes NUS Class of 2026 graduands too!

| 3 |  +1Balancing competitive sports with university life is no easy feat, but Raoul Sharma (Y2, Business) has shown that success comes from playing the long game. 🏏📚
As one of only two recipients of the NUS Sports (Global Merit) Scholarship, Raoul has represented Team Singapore and TeamNUS on the international cricket stage while pursuing his NUS studies, and receiving many accolades, including a gold medal at the 2023 Southeast Asian Games.

| 5 |  +1Did you know NUS has a Sustainability Guide to help student leaders plan more sustainable events? 🌱
One of the students behind the guide is Lim Xin Ee (Science, Class of 2026), who contributed to its development as part of the OSA Sustainability Task Force in 2025. Through the NUS Community Impact Scholarship, Xin Ee was able to deepen her involvement in sustainability initiatives, turning her passion for environmental conservation into meaningful action on campus and beyond.

| 6 | 🌟CHI Innovation Challenge 2026🌟
Are you curious about how artificial intelligence can accelerate the future of clean energy? Join the Hydrogen Innovation Challenge 2026, organised by the NUS Centre for Hydrogen Innovations.
Working in teams of 2–4, participants will first take part in a knowledge round on 6 June 2026, featuring a learning session on AI for Science led by NUS lecturer Dr Lim Chia Wei, followed by a team-based quiz. The top 12 teams will advance to the innovation round on 28 June 2026, where they will develop and present AI-driven solutions to real-world challenges in hydrogen and decarbonisation.
Attractive prizes await, including a top prize of $3000, along with Best School and Audience Choice Awards.

| 7 |  For this weekend only, catch 32 dancers from NUS Dance Blast! at 𝘼𝙧𝙪𝙨, presented as part of the 𝙎𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙁𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙨 (𝙎𝙄𝙁𝘼).
The original site-specific staging of 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁! 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀: 𝗔𝗥𝗨𝗦 took place at NUS University Town in 2025. Now reimagined for SIFA’s Festival Village at Empress Lawn, this encore presentation revisits and reshapes the work for a new outdoor setting in the heart of the city.
Directed by Ahmad Kamil and choreographed by Blast! Members, 𝘼𝙧𝙪𝙨 draws inspiration from the stories of the Orang Laut, the indigenous, traditionally nomadic and seafaring inhabitants of the islands surrounding Singapore. Through movement and interactions with their surroundings, the work reflects on the histories and cultural legacies that continue to shape Singapore’s rich and layered identity.
