Picking a healthy sunscreen for gingers/red heads and if you’re out all day and not tanned yet…
☀️ Get as much sun as you can without burning - that differs for various people and factors. But if you burn easily or are building up your tan - try to get out in morning sun and evening sun, avoiding the scorching mid-day sun. ☀️
🧐 Choosing a sunscreen. Look for “zinc oxide” as the active ingredient.
Then look at “other ingredients”…
✅ You want to see things like: coconut oil, beeswax, shea butter, olive oil etc
🚫Avoid: seed oils, fragrance, chemical names/words you can’t pronounce…
👀 Avoid seed oils in the things you eat! Did you know consuming seed oils actually makes your skin burn worse!?
🙅🏻♀️ Seed oils: canola, sunflower, grapeseed, cottonseed, safflower, soybean and corn oils.
🛍️Here’s a good option that I found (ingredients are pictured above)

Example ingredients of “regular” sunscreen 🧴👆🏼
Besides water is there any single normal ingredient in there!? 😳👀
Your skin is the largest organ in your body and absorbs what goes on it 💯
These ingredients cause things like cancer, disrupt hormones, make your brain foggy and plugged with toxins, are toxic to your immune system etc….
So they spend an insane amount on advertising sunscreen that CAUSES cancer - but tell you “use sunscreen to avoid cancer” 🤦🏻♀️
Also - sun is HEALING to the body and just 20 min releases an incredible amount of healing things for the body!
You get the drift…they don’t want you healthy… 🙅🏻♀️

Ingredients matter - especially when it comes to what’s injected into us, what we put on our skin (including bath & shower water), and what we put in our bodies.
Read ingredients - typically the shorter the list the healthier for you.
If it don’t sound like a real ingredient, it probably ain’t.
Raspberries = real
Oxybenzone = toxic chemical
Read the “other ingredients” listed often in a different section than “active ingredients” for medications, supplements and things like sunscreen.
Citric acid is not a food, lemon juice is.
See? It’s simple. We make it complicated.
Don’t get guilty or be afraid of things - just do your best to minimize these ingredients the best you can and let go of the rest you can’t find alternatives for.
When you repurchase something - look for a healthier option. 👏🏼
Enjoy getting healthy and enjoy the years of health you worked hard for! 🤩

It’s VERY important to know the difference between folic acid and folate!! Watch your ingredients labels like a hawk 👀
What is folic acid typically in?
🚫Most vitamin supplements and B vitamin supplements
🚫Non-organic flour
🚫Cereal
🚫Pasta
🚫Crackers
🚫Pretzels
🚫Bread/buns/muffins/bagels
🚫Pizza crust
🚫Typically anything that has non-organic wheat
🚫Most nutritional yeast
Folic Acid:
💊Synthetic form
💊INCREASES cancer risk
💊Causes MANY health issues
💊BLOCKS the body from using real folate
💊Messes up your biochemistry
💊Long-term side effects for baby
Real Folate or methylated folate:
🌱Natural form
🌱Decreases cancer risk
🌱Easily absorbed and used
🌱Helps your body thrive
🌱People with MTHFR can absorb
🌱Beneficial for babe in pregnancy
🌱🌱Most organic wheat products or products from Italy have no folic acid in it! 🌱🌱
Here’s a great video that explains more about folic/folate and what it does in your body 👇🏼

💋 How to make Vinegar out of Pineapple (and anything) EASY
The best vegetable or fruit to make vinegar? Apple is a popular choice for several reasons:
Availability: Apples are widely available in many regions, making them accessible for vinegar production. They are a common fruit that can be easily sourced and used to create homemade vinegar.
Natural Sugars: Apples contain a high amount of natural sugars, which are essential for the fermentation process that converts the sugars into alcohol and then into vinegar through acetic acid fermentation. The natural sweetness of apples provides a good base for vinegar production.
Balanced Flavor: Apples offer a balanced flavor profile for vinegar, not being too overpowering or too subtle. The resulting apple cider vinegar maintains a pleasant taste that can be enjoyed in various culinary applications.
Health Benefits: Apple cider vinegar, in particular, is known for its potential health benefits, including aiding digestion, promoting gut health, and supporting weight loss. Using apples to make vinegar allows for the retention of some of these health properties.
Versatility: Apple cider vinegar is a versatile ingredient that can be used in cooking, as a salad dressing, for preserving foods, as a natural cleaning agent, and even for skincare purposes. Its versatility adds to the appeal of using apples for vinegar production.
Remember, other fruits and vegetables, such as grapes (for wine vinegar), berries, and citrus fruits, can also be used to create flavorful and unique vinegars. Ultimately, the best vegetable or fruit for making VINEGAR depends on personal preference, desired flavor profile, and availability of ingredients.

LED lightbulbs. Flickering fluorescent bulbs. Laptops, iPads, smartphones. What is artificial light doing to our health? And can we mimic ancestral, healing light (like the light of fire or the sun) in our homes to mitigate the damage and/or boost our mood and well-being?
Brian Hoyer of Shielded Healing is an expert on EMFs and the effect of light on our health. In our latest Wise Traditions podcast, he gets specific about the damage our modern light can do to our health: from causing eye issues, to headache to lowering energy and melatonin production (needed for better sleep and improved digestion). He also goes over what we can do to improve our "light hygiene" at home to foster better health, improved energy levels and a more positive mood.
