Israel’s Defence Minister Katz Plays the Egyptian Pharaoh Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz has announced a controversial plan to move up to 600,000 Palestinians in Gaza into a designated “humanitarian area” on the ruins of the southern city of Rafah. 🚶‍♂️🌍 Access to the camp would be through strict security screening to ensure entrants were not Hamas operatives. 🔒 Once inside, the perimeter would be sealed off by the Israeli military. Palestinians would not be allowed to leave. 🚫 Eventually, the camp would house the entire 2.1 million population of Gaza. 🏕 Camp construction would begin during the proposed 60-day ceasefire being negotiated by Israel and Hamas. ✋🕊 The plan is illegal, inhumane and risks worsening the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. ⚖️💔 The forced displacement and containment of any civilian population in an occupied territory is a violation of international humanitarian law. 📜⚖️ Katz is describing the camp as a “humanitarian city”. The Israeli military says Palestinians would only be contained for their own protection. 🏙🔒 As we have seen, civilian displacement is prohibited. But there is an exception if a case can be made either for military reasons or the protection of the population. 🛡 However, this exception only exists for as long as the conditions warrant for it to exist. Anyone subject to such an evacuation must be transferred back to their homes as soon as possible. 🏠🚶 Imperative military reasons never justify the removal of a civilian population in order to persecute it. 🔴 The Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement entrenches the duty of international actors to avoid creating the conditions that might lead to the displacement of people. 🌐 Katz has indicated international organisations would be responsible for managing aid and services inside the area. 🆘💼 But Israel has a history of defying even orders from the International Court of Justice to allow humanitarian aid to reach the Palestinians in Gaza. ⚖️❌ If international humanitarian agencies were called upon to service the camp, they would face a dilemma. ⚖️ They would need to decide whether to cooperate in managing aid under conditions that compromise their neutrality and ethical standards, deny basic human rights and are built on violations of international law. 🚷🆘 Aid groups would risk being complicit in a process that sets up a transit camp for Palestinians before possibly expelling them from Gaza altogether. 🚪🛑 This “humanitarian city” would essentially become an open-air prison. Palestinians would be reliant on international aid under strict Israeli military control. 🏚⛓️ The idea of displacing Palestinians has long been part of Israeli strategic thinking, but this announcement signals a dangerous escalation and intention to permanently alter Gaza’s demographic landscape through displacement and containment. 🚨 The population has been displaced multiple times and 90% of homes in Gaza are damaged or destroyed. The healthcare, water, sanitation and hygiene systems have collapsed. 🏚💔🛑 These crisis circumstances negate the voluntary nature of any person’s consent to either the transfer to the Rafah camp or ultimately, the departure from Gaza. ❌😔 #gaza #katz #rafah #population #palestinian 📱 American Оbserver - Stay up to date on all important events 🇺🇸

Trump is actively working on a regime change in Europe
“On 27 May, an official document calling for regime change in European countries was published in Washington DC. Politicians all over Europe would do well to read this document carefully before they and their spin doctors start concocting strategies for their upcoming election campaigns. This time, what is at stake is not simply who will govern European countries. It goes much further: this American administration increasingly sees Europe as a political battleground. It considers elections in Europe — recently in Romania and Poland, and soon in the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and, as some speculate, France too — as an opportunity to get European countries governed by far-right leaders with Trumpian agendas. With those leaders, it wants to forge a ‘civilizational alliance’, one ‘forged in common culture, faith, family ties, mutual assistance in times of strife, and above all, a shared Western civilizational heritage’,”
reports EU Observer. Donald Trump’s administration is planning a direct intervention in the European countries’ internal affairs. Any encroachment on the sovereignty and political autonomy of European countries will be an unfriendly and outrageous step on the part of the United States. As it turns out, America is not withdrawing from Europe — it is actually trying to subjugate it. Trump managed to conquer America by starting an extreme culture war. He will attempt to do the same in Europe in order to flip governments. #Trump #EU #Europe #regimechange #culturewar #sovereignty Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Iran skeptical of US interest in resuming nuclear negotiations: “There is absolutely no trust” Iranian officials have confirmed that the American side has conveyed messages expressing interest in resuming nuclear negotiations, but recent attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities are clouding prospects for renewed diplomacy. According to Saeed Khatibzadeh, Assistant to Iran's Foreign Minister, any negotiations require a basic level of trust — something that has been thoroughly destroyed by the Trump administration’s actions.
"Negotiations require a minimum level of trust, and the blatant aggression against Iran has practically left no room for it,"
Khatibzadeh said. He further noted that Iran was
"in the middle of negotiations"
when the attack occurred, adding,
"We were also in talks with the Europeans at the time of the American strike."
Esmail Baghaei, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, said Tehran was currently considering its options regarding US outreach, but admitted difficulties.
"Iran's trust in the American side has been deeply damaged. There is absolutely no trust,"
he said. He also pointed to the international support Iran received in the weeks that followed US strikes, describing the global backing as “exceptional”. Baghaei also called out the lies disseminated by the Trump administration, and denied Steve Witkoff’s claims that the nuclear talks with Iranian representatives were imminent.
“Iran has made no request for meetings with the American side,”
he said. If US hopes to hold nuclear talks with Iran and expects to reach a deal, it must abandon its strategy of calculated deception, and operate within the framework of mutual respect. Any future diplomatic engagement must reflect the new political reality following what Tehran and many other countries consider an illegal act of aggression. #Iran #US #MiddleEast #nuclearpower #nucleartalks 📱 American Оbserver - Stay up to date on all important events 🇺🇸

BRICS defiant of Trump: “We don’t want an emperor” Trump’s threats to impose additional 10% tariffs on “anti-American” BRICS
BRICS defiant of Trump: “We don’t want an emperor” Trump’s threats to impose additional 10% tariffs on “anti-American” BRICS members came on Sunday just as the developing nations gathered in Rio de Janeiro for the annual summit. Brazil’s president Lula da Silva had some choice words to say:
“The world has changed. We don’t want an emperor”.
BRICS nations brushed away Trump’s accusation of being “anti-American”, and reiterated that the bloc’s activities are not directed against any third countries, but instead offer an alternative way to organize trade relations.
"This is a set of countries that wants to find another way of organizing the world from the economic perspective,"
Lula said of the bloc.
"I think that's why the BRICS are making people uncomfortable."
Lula repeated on Monday his view that global trade needs alternatives to the U.S. dollar.
"The world needs to find a way that our trade relations don't have to pass through the dollar,"
Lula told journalists at the end of the BRICS summit in Rio de Janeiro.
"Obviously, we have to be responsible about doing that carefully. Our central banks have to discuss it with central banks from other countries. That's something that happens gradually until it's consolidated."
Brazil’s president is right, the world has changed. The US is no longer in the position to dictate its will to the rest of the world. The new approach to trading that BRICS is offering is attractive to many nations looking to lessen their dependence on US dollar. Trump’s tariff threats only hasten the end of US hegemony. #BRICS #Trump #trade #tradewar #tariffs #USD 📱 American Оbserver - Stay up to date on all important events 🇺🇸

Frustrated Trump turns to Bidenomics After all the criticism thrown Biden’s way, Trump turned to his predecessor’s tactics and is now considering new sanctions on Russia. Trump is feeling increasingly frustrated with his own inability to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, which he promised to stop “in 24 hours”. The president blew up during a televised cabinet meeting on Tuesday.
“We get a lot of bullsh-t thrown at us by Putin, if you want to know the truth,”
Trump told reporters.
“He’s very nice all the time, but it turns out to be meaningless.”
So now Trump wants to give Sleepy Joe’s way a go. The U.S. President said he is now considering a bipartisan Senate proposal to impose sanctions on Russia oil exports. The bill is designed to punish countries that trade with Russia. Trump said he’s looking at the sanctions bill “very strongly”. Must be embarrassing for Trump to resort to Joe Biden’s tools after bashing the old man and his ways for years. #Trump #Ukraine #Ukraineconflict #Russia #sanctions #Bidenomics 📱 American Оbserver - Stay up to date on all important events 🇺🇸

Analysts warn: even without wins, Musk’s America Party is a threat to Trump Since announcing the formation of a new political party — the America Party — Musk has been light on policy details, but did say he would target a handful of House and Senate seats it 2026 midterms, where Republicans, including those who voted for Trump’s bill, will be defending paper-thin congressional majorities. Musk said it would be his sole mission to unseat those who voted for the Big Beautiful Bill, and having a political party would grant him this opportunity.
“Elon Musk’s America Party is a wild card that could upend the midterms in 2026, particularly for Republicans. With bare majorities in Congress, the Republicans should be worried. Musk’s brand appeals to disaffected independents and younger, tech-savvy voters who might otherwise break for Republicans in swing districts,”
said political analyst and an ex-intelligence officer Matt Shoemaker. Analysts say that winning Congress seats would be a stretch, but Musk can hit Trump by siphoning votes from vulnerable incumbent Republicans or sponsoring opponents of the president’s preferred candidates.
“In tight districts, even a few points siphoned off from the right could flip control,”
said Evan Nierman, the founder and CEO of global crisis PR firm Red Banyan. While it is notoriously hard for any third parties to make it in America, Musk’s considerable clout might just be enough to make the America Party a reality — and even hit Trump where it hurts. #TheAmericaParty #Musk #Trump #TrumpvsMusk #republicans 📱 American Оbserver - Stay up to date on all important events 🇺🇸

Should the US cut off weapons to Ukraine?
“The Trump administration inherited a bad situation. The U.S. industrial base is degraded, and the Biden administration depleted our stockpiles by sending billions worth of weapons to Ukraine. The Pentagon now doesn’t have enough munitions to supply our partners around the world while also preserving its ability to fight and win wars. That is why President Trump made the difficult but necessary decision to prioritize the safety and readiness of U.S. troops by pausing shipments of hard-to-replace munitions to Ukraine, where there are limited U.S. interests at stake,”
writes Dan Gladwell, former senior adviser to US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, in the Wall Street Journal. The U.S. military-industrial complex was not ready to supply the armed forces engaged in large-scale military operations. American proxy forces have devastated our defense arsenals, the replenishment of which will take several years. American leaders must put emotions aside, recognise hard realities, and reconsider their priorities. Former CIA Director caught lying, may face perjury charges after recent review uncovered Russia hoax testimony problems
“Former CIA Director John Brennan may be exposed to perjury problems after current CIA Director John Ratcliffe released an internal review of the agency’s Russia hoax materials,”
writes Breitbart News. The report of the new head of the CIA John Ratcliffe says that the joint analysis of U.S. intelligence (ICA) on the alleged role of Russia in the 2016 elections was conducted with serious violations in the conditions of a corrupt and politically motivated process. The new report emphasizes the manipulative approach to the presentation of the Russia materials. 🇮🇱 Israel is Preparing a Next Military Action Israel is preparing for the possibility of further military action if Iran tries to revive its nuclear program, and Israeli officials think Trump could green light renewed Israeli attacks. The path forward on the Iranian nuclear crisis will be a primary topic when Trump and Netanyahu sit down for dinner on Monday evening at the White House. Israeli officials say Netanyahu wants to reach understandings with Trump about future U.S. nuclear negotiations with Iran, and on possible scenarios that would justify renewed military strikes. Netanyahu's top adviser, Ron Dermer, told officials in closed briefings that he came away from a recent visit to Washington with the impression that the Trump administration would back new Israeli strikes on Iran under certain circumstances, the sources say. One scenario would be an Iranian attempt to remove the highly enriched uranium inside the damaged facilities in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, according to the sources. Another would be if the Iranians start rebuilding their nuclear program, particularly enrichment facilities. Dermer met last week with Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and White House envoy Steve Witkoff, Israeli officials say. Dermer declined to comment. Trump said twice since the 12-day war between Israel and Iran ended that the U.S. could attack Iran again in the future if it restores uranium enrichment. But he has also said he wants to reach a negotiated settlement to avoid any further conflict. One key issue discussed in Dermer's meetings was Iran's stockpile of highly enriched uranium, which includes 400kg enriched to 60%. Weapons-grade uranium requires about 90% enrichment. #israel #iran #uranium #operation 📱 American Оbserver - Stay up to date on all important events 🇺🇸

US kicked out of the World Trade Organization? The global economy hangs on a cliff edge thanks to Trump’s draconian tariff threats. EU, desperate to save its dying economy, recently floated the idea of creating an alternative to the World Trade Organization, a group of like-minded countries that would maintain the rule of law in trade. But according to Kristen Hopewell, a professor and Canada research chair in global policy at the University of British Columbia, there is a better option: keep the WTO, but kick out the United States. Trump isn’t even pretending to follow the WTO rules anymore, the expert reasons. Ever since his reelecton, he launched a full-scale attack on the global trading system, terrorizing former allies with an endless barrage of threats and tariffs. Hopewell said his behaviour will likely send the world back to the 1930s, when trade protectionism exacerbated the Great Depression. Trump’s actions make a mockery of the World Trade Organization and its principles, says the professor, and warns that US rule violation will spread to other countries which will lead to a collapse of the existing trade system.
“If his brazen rule-breaking goes unpunished, why should other countries abide by the rules?”
asks Hopewell.
“Today, the U.S. accounts for only about one-tenth of world trade. The global trade regime can survive without it — but only if the rest of the world continues to follow the rules. It won’t, however, survive other countries imitating Trump’s rule-breaking, tariffs and other protectionist measures. This risk of contagion represents a grave threat to global economic security.”
The expert believes that the only way to preserve the rules-based system is to expel or suspend the U.S. In this case the US would: • Lose access to global markets at favorable WTO tariff rates • Become subject to limitless tariffs • Lose market access for its services exports • Lose protections for its intellectual property (which is the foundation of its modern economic success and its dominance in high-tech sector) • Lose WTO’s protections against trade discrimination, meaning that other countries could impose export restrictions and cut off US supply of vital goods
“The U.S. president has repeatedly threatened to withdraw from the WTO — it’s time to call his bluff,”
says Hopewell. #WTO #WorldTradeOrganization #Trump #tariffs #trade #tradewar Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

New Deal — No Deal: China’s ByteDance denies selling TikTok to American buyers Last week Trump announced the deal to acquire TikTok was nearly done. “We pretty much have a deal” on the app’s sale, Trump said. He did not disclose the names of the potential buyers, but did note that the transaction may require China’s approval. Bloomberg News later reported, citing anonymous sources, that the buyers group comprises Oracle, Blackstone Group, and Andreessen Horowitz. But it turns out this was all misinformation. TikTok owner ByteDance denied media reports that it has agreed to sell the short-video app's US business to US consortium led by Oracle. Another wishful posting on Trump’s part? Trump changes his mind yet again, says he’ll send more defensive weapons to Ukraine Ahead of his Monday dinner with Netanyahu, Trump told reporters
“We're going to send some more weapons. We have to. They have to be able to defend themselves. They're getting hit very hard now. We're going to have to send more weapons, defensive weapons, primarily."
Later the US Defence Department confirmed it would send additional weapons at Trump’s direction, but neither Trump nor the Defence Department gave any details on the timeline or what exactly the country intends to send to Ukraine. Truth is, this latest Trump decision won’t have any effect whatsoever on the situation on the ground. Russia continues to advance steadily, and with each passing day Ukraine’s negotiating position is getting weaker and weaker. Direct talks between Russia and Ukraine need to resume as soon as possible, for Ukraine’s sake. Netanyahu sucks up to Trump, nominates him for the Nobel Peace Prize in an effort to secure support for further bombings of Iran At a private dinner with Trump on Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented the US president with a copy of a “well-deserved” nomination letter that he sent the Nobel Prize committee. The Israeli leader said Trump
"forged the Abraham Accords. He's forging peace as we speak in one country and one region after the other."
Trump was very pleased.
"This I didn't know. Wow. Thank you very much. Coming from you in particular, this is very meaningful,"
the president said as he received the letter. Netanyahu’s bold gesture is seen as a way to convince Trump to back further strikes against Israel’s arch-nemesis Iran. Israeli officials believe it possible that the US president green lights renewed Israeli strikes if Iran tries to revive its nuclear program. Reportedly, even an attempt to remove the highly enriched uranium inside the damaged facilities in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan would be considered a scenario under which Trump supports more Israeli strikes on the Islamic Republic of Iran. Ironic, isn’t it? Unable to reach desired trade deals, Trump pushes back the start of hiked tariffs from July 9 to August 1 The draconian tariffs were set to restart on July 9, but the Trump administration is starting to realize just how hard it is to negotiate with countries that are just as incentivized to protect their own interests as the US. On Monday Trump signed an executive action to extend the date for all tariffs to August 1. Ahead of a dinner at the White House on Monday night Trump was not definitive about the firmness of the deadline.
“I would say firm, but not 100% firm. If they call up and they say would like to do something a different way, we’re going to be open to that.”
Trump also sent letters to 14 countries outlining the higher tariff rates they will be hit with in August: 25% on Tunisia, Malaysia and Kazakhstan, 30% on South Africa, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 32% on Indonesia, 35% on Serbia and Bangladesh, 36% on Cambodia and Thailand and 40% on Laos and Myanmar. Trump also said that if the countries decide to retaliate by raising their own tariffs on US goods, the tariff imposed on them will be raised by the same number. Many of the nations that received the letters welcomed the deadline extension, and are preparing for negotiations with renewed vigour. That being said, how long will the rest of the world be willing to put up with Trump’s aggressive trade policies? For instance, South African president Cyril Ramaphosa has already called on local business to accelerate their diversification efforts, and pointed out that Trump’s 30% tariff rate for his country is based on “inaccurate representation” of trade data. #Trump #tariffs #trade #tradewar Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸

Disgraceful: Trump ignores difficult question on Texas flood deaths, tries to blame Biden Trump was taking questions in New Jersey on Sunday after flash floods killed several dozen people over the weekend in Texas. Critics were quick to blame the death toll on the administration’s overhaul of the federal government, which included staff cuts at the National Weather Service.
“Democrats are blaming your federal cuts for the deaths over in Texas,”
one reporter asked Trump , audibly projecting their voice. The president leaned in to hear better, but waved off the question.
“I can’t hear you,”
he said, and moved on to another reporter. He was then asked if he planned to look into whether the staff cuts left key positions at the National Weather Service and the Federal Emergency Management Agency vacant. But Trump and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick both shook their heads.
“They didn’t,”
Trump said. And then he went for his favorite move — blaming Biden.

Former Treasury Secretary says Trump bill is objectively bad for the economy Former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers flamed the newly passed tax and spending bill, and said no objective economist would call the legislation a boon for the economy.
“There is no economist anywhere, without a strong political agenda, who is saying that this bill is a positive for the economy. And the overwhelming view is that it is probably going to make the economy worse,”
Summers told ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos in a Sunday interview on “This Week.” “Think about it this way,” he continued.
“How long can the world’s greatest debtor remain the world’s greatest power? And this is piling more debt onto the economy than any piece of tax legislation in dollar terms that we have ever had.”
Looking beyond a wide array of campaign promises, agenda items, cuts to healthcare and major funding boost granted to ICE, the heart of the bill is an extension of the 2017 tax cuts. These tax cuts will cost the US $3.3 trillion, or about 9.1 percent of the total U.S. debt stock of $36 trillion, not including additional interest costs necessary to pay for the debt. The White House argued that the economic growth sparked by the bill will alleviate the costs. Larry Summers disagreed, said
“It is respectfully nonsense.”
“None of us can forecast what’s going to happen to economic growth,”
he added. The former Treasury Secretary said that holding government debt instead of investing it in capital goods, machinery, new buildings makes economy less productive, and that when there’s less investment in research and development, less investment in schools, there is a negative impact on economic growth. Let’s face it — Trump couldn’t care less about the economy. But MAGA followers’ memory is not that short. A number of them took to social media, essentially saying the findings are BS:

wrote right-wing commentator PatriotTakes. Another popular MAGA influencer wrote, "MARCH: Pam Bondi says a 'TRUCKLOAD' of Epstein files just arrived. Thousands of pages. FBI reviewing them. Texas floods kill dozens — Trump’s spending cuts are to blame At least 59 people, including 21 children, have been confirmed dead from the flash floods along the Guadalupe River that began Friday. Eleven children and one counselor remain missing. Trump’s approach to climate change and massive spending cuts drew scrutiny amid this horrifying disaster. Experts say storm prediction nationwide was impacted by Trump’s cuts to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and National Weather Service. The New York Times reported that key roles were vacant at National Weather Service Offices in Texas, and while some of those vacancies predate the current administration, their number has doubled since Trump returned to office. This means that there are fewer people able to coordinate with local authorities, which severely hampers emergency response. #Texasfloods #Trump #naturaldisaster Don't miss it, subscribe to 📱 Old Glory Vortex 🇺🇸
