Bio diesel
Vegetable oils – whether palm, soyabean or rapeseed – can be converted into Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAME) through a chemical process called transesterification. It involves reacting triglycerides (which make up 95-98% of the fat content in vegetable oils) with methanol (methyl alcohol) in the presence of a catalyst.
FAME is basically vegetable oil-based biodiesel, which can substitute or be blended with regular diesel derived from crude petroleum oil. That is similar to ethanol – produced from sugarcane molasses and juice or rice, maize and other starch-containing cereal grains – that can be blended with petrol.

It originates in Kalahandi district of Odisha, flows 154 km in Odisha and 82 km in AP before joining the Bay of Bengal.
The Vamsadhara Water Dispute Tribunal (WDT) allotted 57.5 TMC feet of water to Odisha and the remaining 57.5 TMC feet to Andhra Pradesh, and directed the AP government to construct the Neradi barrage with a right sluice and pay compensation for 106 acres of land, which belongs to Odisha, as per the Land Acquisition Act

Green Hydrogen is hydrogen fuel that is produced using renewable energy sources through a process like electrolysis of water. This method ensures that the production process emits little to no greenhouse gases, making it an environmentally friendly alternative to hydrogen produced from fossil fuels.
Green Ammonia is ammonia produced using green hydrogen instead of hydrogen derived from fossil fuels. The nitrogen used in the production of ammonia is sourced from the air, and when combined with green hydrogen, the resulting ammonia production is also environmentally friendly and sustainable.
Both green hydrogen and green ammonia are considered crucial for reducing carbon emissions in various industrial processes and for storing and transporting energy
The "Andhra Pradesh Green Hydrogen & Green Ammonia Policy - 2023" is a strategic initiative aimed at promoting the production and use of green hydrogen and green ammonia within the statt
