Specialization of provinces in Cambodia by selected industries. The analysis of employed population aged 15+ in selected industries in each province in 2019 informed development potentials of each industry across spaces. While the data illustrate this perspective at provincial level, actual development is largely happening in urban areas where urbanization has been increasing rapidly. Good urbanization is essential to further promote productivity and export potentials of these provinces. At the same time, good urbanization also requires sound urban planning and policies to support its sustainability.

𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿’𝘀 & 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 featured 𝗠𝗿. 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗸 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗸, presenting Chapter 3: Classic Theories of Economic Growth and Development (Economic Development), and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗮 𝗩𝘆𝗯𝗼𝗹, presenting his thesis progress on Assessing Public Policy Bottlenecks and Resilience Strategies for Agro-Processing SMEs in Tboung Khmum and Svay Rieng Provinces Amid Cross-Border Trade Disruptions. The presentations were followed by constructive feedback from expert professors and fellow club members.

| 3 |  +9On 29 September 2026, the National University of Management held a seminar on “Industrial Development and Investment Trends in Cambodia over the Past 25 Years.”
We were honored to welcome H.E. Dr. SAR Senera, Deputy Secretary General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, as our distinguished guest speaker. His insights on Cambodia’s investment landscape and industrial development enriched the discussion and offered valuable perspectives on the country’s future direction.
The seminar also brought together researchers, speakers, and participants to discuss the role of foreign direct investment and special economic zones in Cambodia’s industrial transformation.

| 10 |  +9On 19 September 2026, Dr. KIM Veara, Ms. LY Sokunthy, and Ms. TIE Porly participated in the workshop on “Overview of Financial Literacy,” hosted by Battambang Teacher Education College (BTEC). The workshop attracted more than 1,000 students and educators across its morning and afternoon sessions.
During the workshop, Dr. KIM Veara, Director of the ASEAN Economic Research Institute (AERI), delivered a presentation on indebtedness in Cambodia, while Ms. LY Sokunthy, Head of the Research Project Coordination Office, presented practical aspects of financial literacy, including financial planning, saving, borrowing, interest rates, and responsible financial decision-making.
The workshop provided participants with practical knowledge to strengthen their understanding of financial matters and make more informed decisions in their everyday lives.
