You have a new anonymous message! Is your TA position at USF going to cover your master's at Columbia, or did you find a TA position at Columbia? Yeah, USF will be paying me and making my tuition free so I could go and study in another university. That’s why I’m turning down Columbia and going to Harvard instead. I don’t even know how you made all these connections…

You have a new anonymous message! I'm down , got rejected from unis and workplaces , seems I'm not good enough I wanted to go USA for my masters degree but dunno how to make it happen, I'm losing all the hope for living First of all, please do not lose hope. Remember the stories when a spider web and the eggs laid by the pigeon saved the best human to have ever walked on Earth. Remember when there was no more exit, a sea was split for those who had righteous deeds. You can't control everything, but trying your ultimate best in whatever you can control is what is needed from you now. Pool all of your resources, make a detailed plan, and execute it step by step. I brought up the stories above because they show something we need to understand about this world: no one has it easy. No one lives free from struggles. However, there is always a point we can start at, resources we can use to start, and reasoning to differentiate between right and wrong, good and bad, and etc. Once you take care of these variables you can control, rely on your faith, and know that no matter what happens, it is always the best outcome for you. But please, don't lose hope. Even if everything is stripped away from you, hope is the only thing that remains. It is your biggest asset.

You have a new anonymous message! Admission jarayonida potensiali kam lekin shu nasibasi bo'lib kirgan o'quvchilaram bo'lganmi 🙏🏻😭 Bo’lgan va bo’ladi ham, chunki chetdan sizni baxolagan odam uchun sizni o’zingizga ko’rinmagan kuchli tomonlaringiz bo’lishi mumkin. Shu paytgacha, kutilmagan natijalar xar yili bo’lgan. Lekin Eng asosiysi “potentialim kam” deb o’ylamaslik

💬 You have a new anonymous message! Assalamu Alaykum, Sukhrob aka Is the reason for doing masters due to stem designation and potential up to 3 years of OPT after graduation. Or do Big 4 companies sponsor H1B easily when they hire? Overall, how this post-bachelors and employment process went given you are international and need residency permit? Can you share your experience on these points if not secret. Thank you! Great question! Yes, the MSAA (Master of Science and Accountancy) programs in most schools across the US are now STEM designated, which potentially can me an extension for OPT from a year to three years. And yes, Deloitte sponsors international students for H1B. Two of my close friends from there are international students, and Deloitte’s Law Team is already taking them through the process.

I haven’t studied for tests in a long time, but now that I do, I realize again how hard it is. No one is forcing you to study. There are days and times when you are just not in the mood to study. Sometimes, you wonder if you even need it. You fail practice tests, don’t understand the material, and everything seems to be leading up to failure. But at the end of the day, you decide to keep doing it. You shut thoughts, anxiety, and fears and keep staring at the screen, doing question after the question, practice test after practice test, and reading after reading. Not everyone understands the discipline it takes to get it done

On the value of learning: All along, I’ve often heard people say “theory doesn’t mean much. You’ll learn in the profession”. Then, an enthusiastic engineer is held back, because he now thinks the learning he is paying thousands for is not worth much. A financier stops attending his classes, because what does he gain from them? A lawyer starts thinking “heh, these philosophical doctrines are really nonsense, because I won’t use it in real life”. That’s a wrong mindset. As a student for the past 5 years, I’ve seen firsthand that there is a difference between learning and learning. If you learn to simply pass exams and get grades, then yes, you’ll probably make sense of what you learned once you start putting it into practice. But what if you questioned every new concept discussed in class? What if you thought about the real-world applications? What if you created ways to apply that knowledge? Education plays a huge role. If you really learn well and analyze what you learned at every step, practice will just be a way to demonstrate your knowledge, not a way to learn from the scratch. Value your learning. Go to your classes. Learn with love and diligence, and question everything you are consuming. All the best!

Happy Independence Day ❤️🇺🇿 To the great history and to the great future; to the beautiful culture, traditions, and diversity; to tremendous endurance when the country was being built from the very scratch; to this beautiful country that raised us and nurtured us - happy birthday!

God is with those who have clean hearts: This is not something people share publicly, but I don’t limit myself with “norms” set upon me. I am me, independent and free. I had a financially troubling childhood. When I say troubling, I mean it. The type where you don’t eat meat for a week, your parents can’t afford anything your classmates eat, use, or bring everyday, and ends are barely met. Even then, as a child, I had no envy. I just wanted to live like that one day. Over time, God blessed our family with everything we needed, and we are not fully self-sufficient and free from any needs. When I grew up, I looked around myself. There were kids academically much more competitive. When I came to Innovative Centre to study for IELTS for the first time, I was the worst in my group. Fitting in was hard, because everyone around was so much better. I kept looking up to them - no envy - and learning from them. Eventually, I became the first IELTS 9.0 from Innovative Centre in Samarkand. I’m not saying I became better than anyone - everyone has their own path - but I kept working towards what I wanted with a clean heart free of envy. When I came to USF, the same story repeated. Over and over, it was the same pattern. I’m the worst, I look up to my counterparts who are better off, and I eventually get there or overtake. And I think it’s all because instead of envying, I look up, get advice, and find a way. Have a clean heart. Cheer others’ achievements. Be a good person. God will bless you.

I love my new TA job at USF as part of my graduate program. For those who do not know, I’m doing my Master’s for completely free of charge and also getting paid. I’m teaching Accounting! I have so much discretion. I get to design my own course policies for my student groups just like professors, decide if I want to excuse documented absences, design my own grading policy, and the like. It’s literally being a professor, and I love the design. At sight, it might look like too much discretion for someone who never taught 80-90 people classes at UNIVERSITY. However, it’s a smart approach. Knowing I have all the control actually holds me more accountable, and I am incentivized to do better. Independence and discretion beats policies and bureaucracy.
