Putin:
Over the past 5 years, more than 40% of world GDP has been produced by the BRICS states.
Whereas the contribution of the so-called "Big Seven" — why it's big, I don't understand — well, it amounted to only 29 percent.
An Israeli official told Channel 12 that Houthi control of Bab-el-Mandeb is more dangerous than the current Hormuz situation, and the reason is simple geometry.
The eastern shipping channel past Perim Island is only about 3 km wide.
Ships will pass within visual range of Houthi positions.
Israeli official:
They will be able to fire at whatever they want with anti-tank missiles.
They will be able to see the ships with their own eyes.
That's the difference.
At Hormuz, Iran needs radar, surveillance systems, and anti-ship missiles to threaten traffic.
At Bab-el-Mandeb, a fighter with a basic ATGM on Perim Island can hit a tanker he can physically see.
No sophisticated targeting required. The official said this gives the Houthis "enormous power."

Now, through BRICS, we must take these world-class innovations to global markets.

18th BRICS Summit
Chinese journalist representing CGTN, Li Jingjing —
"This is a very important BRICS meeting. The whole world is looking at cooperation between India and China. The developing countries, or what we call global sub-countries, are demanding an equal world order that will answer the interests and demands of developing countries.
The people of all Global South countries share a common concern that the interests of their people are not being amplified on the world stage. So, through regional corporations like BRICS, where we meet, developing countries are raising their concerns and working together to enhance cooperation.
China really supports the development of the Global South. And President Xi has made it clear that China will always be a member of the Global South."
Reporter: On the checks, the U.S. has $40 trillion in debt. If your economic policies are working, why do you need an incentive for people to turn out to vote?
Trump: I’m doing it as a reward for people having to put up with five years of a horrible situation caused by Biden.
Reporter: You also offered tariff refund checks...
Trump: Not you. Not you.
Reporter: That didn’t happen.
Trump: Not you. You’re the worst.
Putin:
All the time we were told that competition is a sacred cow, and you can't touch it.
But unfortunately, your Western competitors today are trying by any means to return their former leadership.
This competition today acquires, at times, unseemly forms.
