Sex Trafficking of Foreign Women Is On The Rise in The Czech Republic, Say Police
Criminal investigators recorded an increase in the number of cases of organised groups exploiting women from Asia or Latin America in prostitution rings in the Czech Republic last year, according to the annual report of the National Center Against Organised Crime (NCOZ) released today.
The police say these women enter the Schengen Area on tourist visas and work in various cities, and sometimes even in several countries, within 90 days. First, they must pay off their debt to the traffickers for their plane tickets, then they try to earn money to send to their families. The trend is visible across Europe, NCOZ added.

Physical Education Teacher Who Exchanged Nude Photos with Female Students Will Not Go to Prison After All
Miroslav K. (31), a former physical education teacher from the Klatovy region who exchanged nude photos with four female students and groped one of the girls, was originally supposed to go to prison. However, on Thursday, the Regional Court of Appeal in Plzeň commuted his sentence to probation. At the same time, the court banned the former teacher from working in the field for ten years. The verdict is final.
In the end, the appeals court overturned the original verdict of the Klatovy District Court, which had sentenced the former physical education teacher to two years in prison. The court has now sentenced him to a two-year suspended sentence with a five-year probation period.

A Witness to Child Prostitution Speaks Out: Police Officers, Predators, and Other Children (K. Kövešová) | Reflex
He spoke out about the hidden world of child prostitution, of which he himself was a victim starting at age 12. The shocking but true story of this now-adult man shows that child prostitution is, unfortunately, a reality in our region as well!
At first, a police officer was supposed to sell him—as a minor—to Austrian sex offenders. Later, when he was already addicted to drugs, he fell into the cycle of child prostitution at various bars in Prague. He says he was by no means the only child to find himself caught up in this sordid business. Please be advised: the following content is not suitable for minors or those of a sensitive disposition.

She thought she had fallen in love. In reality, she had become a victim of human trafficking.
Human trafficking doesn’t always begin with a kidnapping. Sometimes it begins with love—or rather, the illusion of love. Staff at the Magdala Counseling Center encounter various tactics that perpetrators use to exploit and manipulate their victims. One of these is the “loverboy” method.
