13-year-old ‘bride’ stopped at Faisalabad airport before being sent to husband in Saudi Arabia; nikah registrar arrested
An FIA team in Faisalabad has arrested a nikah registrar in Burewala for performing an online nikah of a minor girl with a man residing in Saudi Arabia.
According to the FIR registered on August 15, during immigration checks at Faisalabad airport, a passenger named Hira Firdous was stopped from travelling to Saudi Arabia after it was found her age was only 13. The marriage certificate she was carrying turned out to be fake.
She was reportedly being smuggled to Saudi Arabia on an Umrah visa, shown as the wife of an accused man, Fiaz Ahmad, who lives in Saudi Arabia. Investigation revealed that a local qari from Burewala had performed the online nikah of the minor girl, and he was later arrested from Burewala.

FIA Arrests Suspected Human Trafficker Wanted in Rs2.2 Million Denmark Visa Fraud Case
Rawalpindi - The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, Islamabad, has arrested Ibrahim Khan, a suspect wanted in a human trafficking case.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the suspect was wanted in connection with Case No. 290 of 2025. The case alleges that the suspects had promised Denmark employment visas in exchange for Rs2.2 million per person, with most of the amount reportedly already paid.
The FIA said Ibrahim Khan was attempting to flee the country when he was arrested during immigration clearance after his name appeared on the stop list in the Integrated Border Management System (IBMS).
The arrested suspect has been handed over to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, Islamabad, for further investigation and legal proceedings. The agency said an investigation is also underway to determine the roles of the suspect’s accomplices and facilitators.

Nine held for human trafficking, bank fraud during a week
LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Multan Zone claimed on Monday to have arrested nine suspects, including human traffickers, proclaimed offenders and individuals allegedly involved in identity fraud, hawala hundi and banking fraud, in separate operations across south Punjab during Sept 7-13.
According to FIA spokesperson, Multan composite circles in Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan took action against suspects allegedly involved in defrauding people on the pretext of arranging employment and study visas for Saudi Arabia, Italy and Qatar.

Three arrested for migrant smuggling, visa fraud
LAHORE - The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Lahore, arrested three alleged suspects involved in migrant smuggling and visa fraud during raids in various areas of Lahore and Kasur. According to an FIA spokesperson, the arrested suspects were identified as Saifullah, Muhammad Naveed Akhtar and Junaid Sarwar. The suspects allegedly defrauded citizens of a total of Rs 1.445 million by promising them overseas work visas. Further investigation was underway, spokesperson added.
