Master-child Performance
Master-child is a background copy design. Whenever there is a new order in your master-account, a notification is sent to us. Once we receive that notification, only then copying starts.
So, performance primarily depends on how quickly your broker sends new order notification.
Enhancements in progress:
- As of now, we have managed to reduce the delay to less than 0.2 seconds for ANGEL ONE & ZERODHA in our testing. (Releasing TONIGHT)
- There are multiple upgrades being done to reduce the copy time in master child. You will start seeing improvements in the next 1-2 weeks.
- A dashboard is also planned, which will help you to easily understand the timings & performance numbers.
Impact of IIFL on OTHER brokers TODAY
What happened?
- IIFL servers were took way too long to respond to requests
- This resulted in so many IIFL requests stuck on our servers that we could see it started affecting other brokers' accounts as well
- Although this impact was minimal & we took immediate action to disable all IIFL accounts
Planned upgrades:
- We have rarely seen one broker's issue affecting other brokers
- Ideally, this should not happen
- Multiple upgrades have been planned at both software & hardware level
- Release going live tonight
These changes will make sure our systems are better equipped to handle similar scenarios in the future.IIFL UPDATE - RESOLVED
1. IIFL team has NOT yet confirmed a fix
2. However, we can no longer see any errors
3. What happened?
- Based on our commnunication, one of their gateway server was down
4. What precautions can clients take from today's issue?
- IIFL offers 2 APIs (1. Open API, 2. XTS API)
- XTS api seems more reliable & it was working today (only Open API had issues), so you can contact IIFL and get your IIFL account migrated to XTS
- We support both APIs of IIFL

IIFL - All accounts marked NON-LIVE
All accounts with IIFL OPEN API are marked non-live.
As IIFL servers are not responding, it resulted in too many requests being stuck on our server. This started affecting other broker's requests as well, hence we had to mark all IIFL accounts non-live.
We will provide further update only after IIFL resolves the issue.
Note: If you are using IIFL + some other brokers. Please non-live all IIFL accounts until the broker resolves the issue.
Go to menu:
Settings -> Trading Accounts
Filter all IIFL accounts
Select ALL
Click Non-Live button
This will make sure your orderbook, positionbook screens wont hang as IIFL accounts wont be loaded for time being & you can trade other brokers.
IIFL API Issues
Please report to broker. We are also trying, but no response.
Important changes going live tonight
1. AngelOne - Faster master-child copy for AngelOne (less than 1 second)
2. Kotak NEO - Shift to new instrument master as their current symbol source has issues
3. SAS - Changes for incorrect exchange issue
Expiry dates
For some contracts, you may see additional expiry dates being shown in our system. This is because of faulty data received from Kotak NEO.
We will be removing all faulty symbols tonight. Meanwhile, please use the symbol with correct expiry date.
502 - Gateway timeout errors on Zerodha
These are intermittent errors & has been reported to Zerodha. These errors are only happening sometimes & in few accounts (not all).
5Paisa errors observed
We are seeing errors on 5Paisa accounts today, it has been reported to 5Paisa team.
Awaiting response from their side.
Finvasia Parallel Login
Once you switch to KAMBALA_FINVASIA platform; you will be allowed to do parallel login in Finvasia Shoonya website.
System Upgrades
1. Flattrade & Wisdom Capital is live
2. Finvasia users are requested to do the following:
- Go to menu (Settings -> Trading Accounts)
- Edit your finvasia account
- Change Trading Platform from SHOONYA_BETA to KAMBALA_FINVASIA
- Click validate
- If validation is success, SAVE
- If you get an error like your account is not enabled on API, then switch back to the old SHOONYA_BETA platform & report it to us*** IMP Change going live tonight ***
1. Finvasia clients will be shifted to use Finvasia APIs
- Users need not do any changes
- Users can do parallel login to Finvasia Shoonya now
2. Flattrade broker support will be live

IMP - Profitmart Users
1. Please go to menu (Settings -> Trading Accounts)
2. Edit your Profitmart account
3. Enter your TOTP Key (earlier you were putting PAN or DOB here)
4. Click Validate & Save
