Putin's speech at Valdai was good, but his Q&A was great. I particularly loved the quips.
— Should we break up the EU? "No need, it will fall apart on its own."
— Were you embarrassed by Zelensky's visit to Belgrade? "Girls get embarrassed. We do politics."
He even made sure the history lessons were short, sweet and to the point.
And yes, absolutely, the world's problems can be traced back to NATO's aggression of 1999 and the forcible partition of Serbs (and Russians) during that decade. Which suggests that a more just and multipolar world order will require a revision of that situation, doesn't it?
All in all, an encouraging hint of things to come. Now to follow through.
(On that note, I am traveling for the next week or so, expect lighter posting).

EUrotrash is really pushing the envelope in escalating against Russia, either because they believe the Americans will back them up, or because they think they can win, based on some kind of miraculous conversion of nominal GDP into weapons of war.
Except they can't, because none exists. And even if the Americans are up for fighting a war on behalf of the EUroreich (they have repeatedly said they were not), they lack the wherewithal to do so. And they know it, even if they try to pretend otherwise.
Because the people making these decisions are bureaucrats disconnected from popular feedback and insulated from consequences of failure, they lack even the elementary awareness. So, here we are.

The last American troops have officially left Iraq, after more than 23 years. First there was the 2003 invasion, then "advisors and instructors," then the coalition against ISIS ("Inherent Resolve"), and now they're all done. Decamped off to Jordan, officially.
Americans got all of their equipment out and there was no panicked scramble for airplane wheels, like in Kabul five years ago. That's not to say Iraq will fare any better than Afghanistan, since it's still dealing with ethnic and sectarian conflicts the Brits didn't care about when they invented it from whole cloth after WW1.
Trump could have claimed this as a massive triumph of peace and repudiation of George W. Bush's neocon globalism, were it not for the whole Iran War thing next door. While I'm an outlier in believing it's not as much of a fiasco as it's being painted as, it has not done him any favors at home, to the point where the globalists could realistically get back into power soon. Pity.

Aleksandar Vučić is no longer president of Serbia. After almost 10 years, he has resigned — to run for prime minister in the upcoming snap election.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Unless the Globalists manage to color-revolution Serbia again in a month's time.

From the very start of the SMO, I have been puzzled by the Russian Defense Ministry reports. Are we doing body counts, or territory taken, or both? If this is about seizing ground, then why the massive strategic retreats (Kiev, Kherson, Kupyansk)? If this is about body counts, then territory should not matter.
This ambiguity is at the heart of a perception mismatch between strategy and operations. Strategically, this is a war of attrition: pin the enemy's army at the front while eviscerating the rear; whatever breaks first you win. Yet operational reports are all about counting square inches taken and announcing the glorious liberation of Novozhopovka or some such.
Make it make sense!

The entire UNSC "discussion" is an attempt to guilt-trip Russia into backing off and letting 404 survive. Emotional blackmail and hysterics all the way through.
They believe, based on past behavior, that Russia is too nice and that this can be exploited.
Lavrov's message was that Russia is ready to talk, but will NOT ease the pressure, because every time it went along with Euro "mediation" it got deceived, and the consequences were deadly.
I can't really influence Putin's behavior, but I hope he hardens his heart. Ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves, after all.

I've known the UN to be a total joke since the Yugoslav Wars of the 1990s, but I always thought it was due to GAE subversion. Watching the UNGA and UN Security Council "debates" has disabused me of this notion. Useless theatre, all of it — and the smaller and more insignificant the country, the louder it barks.

Trump has managed to "take" Greenland in the only way that mattered to him: basing and overflight rights plus veto over other countries' access, while Denmark continues to foot the bill, fly the flag and claim sovereignty on paper. Sovereign is he who decides the exception, remember?

RT has a nice long analysis of the "NATO 3.0" scam on the agenda of the Military Committee in Copenhagen. In short, the EUroreich gets to fight Russia without the USA, at its own expense in lives and treasure.
This is clearly insane. The EUroretards are entirely detached from reality at this point and believe GDP (which is crashing out, btw) somehow equates to military power. The only reason they can even believe in the remote possibility of "winning" is the promise of the US nuclear umbrella — which is rapidly becoming the equivalent of Germany's carte blanche to Vienna in July 1914.
I really hope Russia is not being too nice this time and ignoring the possibility of rabid (if retarded) chihuahuas launching an attack by overestimating their intelligence and decency. But I guess we'll find out soon enough.

Russia has come a long way when it comes to communicating with Americans, but I'm sure many people will find this anecdote helpful:
U.S. officials tied imagery from unnamed Chinese entities to Iran’s July 17 missile strike on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base ... the strike that hit housing while American troops were sleeping and murdered 1st Lt. Tyler Feehan, Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, and Sgt. Angel Rampersad in their goddamn beds. Four more wounded. Three Americans in coffins. And Beijing’s response was to hiss about “maliciously linking and smearing other countries” and demand a fucking exhibit. Then Yaogan-50 had an “anomalous event.” That’s the sanitized horseshit they use when a six-month-old Chinese recon satellite in a rare orbit suddenly explodes into a career as 47 pieces of orbital trash. Independent trackers put the breakup around late July. Days after the bodies. Days after Rubio met Wang Yi and would only mutter that “nothing China did altered in any way the course of the conflict.” Days after Trump said every time Iran kills an American soldier they will pay many times over. Anomalous. Cute. Three Americans are dead and somebody in a suit is reaching for a thesaurus. Washington named no companies. Accused Beijing of nothing on letterhead. Dropped no dossier. Six weeks later, unnamed officials slipped the Wall Street Journal just enough of the imagery story to read a calendar ... right before Trump was expected to sit across from Xi. China said prove it. America said almost nothing. Yaogan-50 said the quiet part with a fireball. [...] You help fill American coffins and then ask for evidence? Somebody pointed at the fucking sky. This is how Americans think. This is how they communicate. This is the kind of communication they understand. The sooner you realize this, the sooner you will be able to communicate your objectives to them. I hope I'm clear enough.

The US has revealed it has weapons in space. Yes, I know there is a 1967 treaty banning that, but come on, since when do Americans actually abide by anything they signed?
“The Space Force now has on-orbit space control weapons capable of defending the joint force against hostile adversary action,” said US Secretary of the Air Force Troy Meink, during his keynote speech at the 2026 Air, Space & Cyber Conference in Maryland on Monday.Meink didn’t say what the weapons were, but it’s not hard to imagine someone like Palmer Luckey put together a ghetto “rods from God” setup and launched it into orbit. The concept has been around since the 1970s and the USAF actually proposed it in 2003. Whether they might be effective or not is immaterial: the treaty is now orbital debris and Pandora’s box of a space arms race is wide open. So much for the wisdom of “We don’t do that”, when the other side does.

Two anniversaries, and some thoughts.
Yesterday was a year since Charlie Kirk was murdered while trying to debate woke college students in Utah. Had this happened to a Democrat, they would have rounded up everyone they could and maybe even declared martial law (just look at their reaction to the January 6 protest in 2021; full Reichstag Fire!). As it is, the Republicans opted to be nice and fight amongst themselves instead. As a result, the most demented woke goblins now believe they can act with total impunity.
America did something similar after 9/11, 25 years ago today. Bush the Lesser immediately declared "Islam is a religion of peace" (huh?) and instead of going after the actual jihadists used the shock to launch the neocon project of reordering the Middle East. And then decided to Make the World Safe for Liberal Democracy and educate Afghan women in gender studies or whatnot. Needless to say, what we got was ISIS, and now the Taliban are back in charge in Kabul, while Al Qaeda runs Syria.
Heckuva job, everyone!
I literally warned the very first week — before anyone had mentioned Saddam Hussein — that the "War on terror" was a scam because the US showed no sign of fighting against its pet terrorists in the Balkans. I say this not to boast about being right, but because it should have been obvious back then.
A whole lot of people craved power above all, however, and here we are.

This time it’s different, I stand corrected. Russia is not buying cheap tricks and is continuing to do what needs doing while paying lip service to talks.
For the first time I have heard Lavrov articulate what’s been obvious for quite some time: 404 in its current form cannot continue.
There’s a nice “cauldron” north of Kharkov with at least one OSU brigade trapped inside. Strikes on ports, ships and warehouses are unrelenting. A relic of Holy Prince Dmitry Donskoy has been sent to the front. All of this points to the gloves being off.
Good. About time.

Timeo Americanos et dona ferentes.
There is nothing Witkoff and Kushner can bring to Moscow that would be useful for ending the SMO, unless it's terms of America's de facto surrender on Project Ukraine. That means no Starlink, no Palantir, no "private companies" selling drone components, and lifting sanctions. That won't happen.
Nor do they have leverage to demand anything of Russia. Putin owes them nothing, especially not after Anchorage, which turned out to be yet another effort to buy time for 404 to come up with more "wunderwaffe" and "victory plans" and "long-range sanctions strikes" or whatever the coked-out actor comes up with next.
Right on schedule, when 404 is facing ruin, the Americans show up with another "peace proposal" that they expect the Russians to waste months analyzing and running through procedures and channels, while backing off on the front to be "nice".
Not to be Cassandra or Laocoon, but it's a giant wooden horse, guys. Don't bring it in.

In America, a woman who murdered three of her children in cold blood is not going to prison because 11/12 of jurirs refused to believe she was at fault. Mistrial.
There is a deeper sickness in thr West than most of us are aware. Every society has problems but this is so self-destructive it defies comprehension.
Something’s got to give.
And the only way out is through.

Sometime in the past month we ended up passing the inflection point of industrial attrition warfare: Russia is constantly bombing both the 404 ports and key infrastructure and warehouses in Kiev and beyond.
This is already having an effect on the frontline, with reports of a cauldron forming in northern Kharkov and Orekhov getting practically surrounded in the south. Moreover, there is chatter about Russian recon groups tracking down 404 drone operators and eliminating them deep behind the nominal frontline. All unverified, mind you, but that's the fog of war for you.
The Estonian defense minister has just resigned over a €70 deal to buy 155mm shells from Indian scammers (literally — a company that's never produced a shell, which bought an Italian front company, and delivered unusable junk). Last month, a "state of the art" automated factory for 155mm shells in Texas shut down without having produced a single round. It appears to have been a con job by an ethnic Turk executive of General Dynamics, who subcontracted a company run by his co-ethnics. He has since retired with a golden parachute, of course.
The EUroreich and the American Empire can talk GDP all they want. They can no longer produce what is needed for a modern war in the industrial quantities required. The only thing they can crank out is propaganda — which explains why they're leaning into the cognitive war so hard, and threatening terrorism.
In other words, the globalist empire is on the run. The worst thing to do at this point is to get squeamish and show misplaced mercy.

As for Ratko Mladic, I’ll just say that the people in the West accusing him of atrocities will beg for a Mladic of their own in their hour of need. But they won’t deserve one and won’t get one.

CIA chief’s trip to Moscow was not about some made-up 404 propaganda, be serious. For all I know, he told the Russians the US won’t interfere with the smiting of the Yookay.
And if he didn’t, the Russians should have said he did anyway. Because cognitive warfare.
