Indeed, St. Patrick himself lamented being taken “among foreigners” (inter alienigenas), contrasting them with his own gens (gentibus), his kinfolk / nation. Happy Valentines day! ♱ Today, in the West, we honour St. Valentine—a man who risked everything to defend true love, secretly marrying Christian couples during a time in which marriage was under attack. He studied at Cambridge University under the influential theologian William Perkins and was reportedly more widely read in Colonial America than Calvin and Luther combined. The next general election will most likely be in 2029, of course Labour could call it earlier - maybe in 2028. However, going on the date of 2029, this would mean that the coming general election will likely be the last where White Britons are the majority in maternity wards and schools. If current trends continue and if the figures published recently by the Telegraph are correct, then by 2035, White Britons will be the largest minority in the age bracket 16 and under, rather than a majority.

The order of love (ordo amoris), as recognised by even the most moderate of theologians, primarily follows natural familial relations (kinship) as a fundamental structuring principle. Scripturally speaking, “nation(s)” are identified not as civic entities but as ethnic / kinship groups. Hence, we Kinists logically conclude that we ought to have a unique degree of love for our ethnic group—our nation. @Kinism

While JD Vance is no Kinist, his rhetoric here is striking. The ordo amoris—the order of love—is central to Kinism. We, however, simply hold that the “family” (kinship) Vance references, according to Scripture, extends beyond the immediate household unto nations. St Paul affirmed this, speaking of his nation as his “kinsmen according to the flesh” (Rom. 9:3-4a) — further emphasising broader kinship as a guiding principle in affection. @Kinism
