🔊 Never Abandon Knowledge
Shaykh Abd al-Hamid al-Zakri حفظه الله said:
“Whoever has been granted success in seeking knowledge should never abandon it.”
| 2 | 📌 The True Cause of Division
Al-Allamah al-Albani رحمه الله said:
“Those who criticize us today say: ‘You are causing division.’
We ask them: Division between what and what?
We are callers to the Quran and the Sunnah upon the methodology of the righteous Salaf. Are you with us?
If he says, 'I am with you,' then we have not caused any division.
But if he says, 'No, I am not with you,' then it is he who has separated himself from us.”

Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:

| 4 | 🔹Advice for those who have lost blessings in their time:
🔸One of the Salaf said: "Whenever my portion of the Quran increased, blessings increased in my time. I continued increasing until my portion reached ten parts."
🔸Ibrahim ibn Abdul Wahid al-Maqdisi advised D'iya al-Maqdisi, who intended to embark on a journey for seeking knowledge: "Increase your recitation of the Quran and never neglect it. By doing so, what you seek will become easier for you in proportion to what you recite."
🔸D'iya said: "I saw and experienced this many times. When I recited a lot, it facilitated for me hearing and writing a great deal. When I did not recite, it did not become easy for me."

| 6 | 📌 Strive Against the Soul
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“The soul is like an enemy. If it sees firmness and determination from you, it submits to you. But if it senses weakness and humiliation from you, it overpowers you.
Deny it some of its lawful pleasures so that peace may be reached in abandoning the unlawful. And when it complains in seeking what is permissible, then either show favor or discipline it.”

| 9 | 📜 Is Celebrating the Prophet’s Birthday Permissible?
Question:
📌 Abdullah, a questioner from Algeria, says: “I greet you with the greeting of Islam. My question is as follows:
My brothers in Islam, one person said to me regarding the Prophet’s birthday: ‘This is not something established in our religion.’ Is this correct or not?
I say to him that this is a great day and that we should celebrate it. What is the Islamic ruling on this matter, in your view, O Shaykh?”
Answer: Shaykh Abd al-Aziz ibn Baz رحمه الله said:
“Celebrating the Prophet’s birthday is not legislated. Rather, it is an innovation. The Prophet ﷺ did not do it, nor did his Companions.
The same applies to other birthday celebrations, such as those held for Ali, al-Husayn, Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, or others. Celebrating birthdays is an innovation that is not legislated.
The Messenger ﷺ was the one who called to every good. He was the teacher and guide of the Ummah. Allah sent him as a bearer of good tidings, a warner, and an illuminating lamp, calling to every good.
Allah said: “And We have not sent you except comprehensively to mankind as a bringer of good tidings and a warner.”
Saba: 28
And He said: “O Prophet, indeed We have sent you as a witness and a bringer of good tidings and a warner, and one who invites to Allah, by His permission, and an illuminating lamp.” Al-Ahzab: 45–46
And Allah said:
“Say, ‘O mankind, indeed I am the Messenger of Allah to you all.’”
Al-Araf: 15
8
Yet he did not guide his Ummah to celebrate his birthday. He did not celebrate it during his lifetime, nor did Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, or any of the other Companions. Nor was it practiced during the first, second, or third generations.
Rather, it was introduced by the Rafidah, and later some people who attributed themselves to the Sunnah followed them.
The Messenger ﷺ said:
“Whoever does an action that is not in accordance with our matter, it will be rejected.”
And he ﷺ said:
“Whoever introduces into this matter of ours that which is not from it, it will be rejected.”
He ﷺ would also say in his sermons
“The best speech is the Book of Allah, the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad ﷺ, and the worst matters are those newly introduced, and every innovation is misguidance."
Therefore, the stronger and correct position is that celebrating the Prophet’s birthday ﷺ, and other birthdays, is not legislated.
Allah benefited the Ummah and guided it through the sending of His Messenger ﷺ, not through his birthday.
Rather, Allah benefited the Ummah, guided it, and brought it from darkness into light through sending him ﷺ and revealing revelation to him.
When Allah sent him at the age of forty and made him a Prophet and Messenger, Allah benefited the Ummah through him and rescued it from ignorance and misguidance—not through his birthday.
The correct position is that celebrating the Prophet’s birthday is an innovation and is not permissible.
Even if many people practice it today, innovations do not become Sunnah merely because people practice them. Innovations remain innovations, even when people practice them.
Rather, what is legislated for Muslims is to give attention to his hadith and biography, follow his methodology, teach his Sunnah in schools and mosques, and teach people his Sunnah and religion—in the mosque, in schools, at gatherings, and through broadcasting—so that people learn their religion and follow what the Prophet ﷺ taught them.
As for celebrating his birthday every year in Rabi al-Awwal with food, drink, sacrifices, and speeches, this has no basis. This is an innovation and a means leading to shirk. Many of those who participate in these celebrations fall into shirk and exaggeration concerning the Prophet ﷺ alongside the innovation.
We ask Allah for safety.

| 10 | 📌 Turn to Allah Before the Creation
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:
“When a person complains to the creation, their harm is often closer than their benefit. But when he turns to the Creator—Glorified and Exalted is He—with his complaints, places his needs before Him, and seeks His forgiveness for his sins, Allah supports him, strengthens him, guides him, fulfills his needs, enriches him, grants him contentment, draws him near, loves him, and chooses him.
As for the creation, when a servant places his needs before them, they may expose his weakness, look down on him, and then turn away from him. Even if they fulfill some of his request, they may seek to make him dependent upon them in return for what they desire.
Allah said:
“So seek from Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned.”
Al-Ankabut: 17
And He said:
“If Allah should aid you, no one can overcome you; but if He should forsake you, who is there that can aid you after Him? And upon Allah let the believers rely.”
Ali 'Imran: 160
And He said
:
“So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are true believers.”
Aali 'Imran: 13
“This is a vast subject. I have written about it extensively, and I have come to know it through knowledge, personal experience, and direct observation.”

{يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ حَسْبُكَ اللَّهُ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ}
“O Prophet, Allah is sufficient for you and for the believers who follow you.”
Al-Allamah Ibn Saadi رحمه الله said:
“This is a promise from Allah to His believing servants who follow His Messenger ﷺ that He will suffice them and grant them victory over their enemies. Whenever they fulfill the condition of faith and following the Messenger ﷺ, Allah will surely suffice them in all that concerns them in both their religion and their worldly life. His sufficiency is only withheld when its condition is neglected.”

On the authority of Abu Qatadah, The Prophet (ﷺ) said: I anticipate from Allah that fasting on the day of 'Arafa may expiate for the sins of the preceding and the coming years, and I anticipate from Allah that fasting on the day of Ashura may atone for the sins of the preceding year. | 14 | ✍Five things you should know about the month of Muharram(current month)
١- هو أول شهور السنة وهو من أشهر الحرم: قال تعالى : ( { إِنَّ عِدَّةَ ٱلشُّهُورِ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱثۡنَا عَشَرَ شَهۡرࣰا فِی كِتَـٰبِ ٱللَّهِ یَوۡمَ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَ ٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ مِنۡهَاۤ أَرۡبَعَةٌ حُرُمࣱۚ ذَ ٰلِكَ ٱلدِّینُ ٱلۡقَیِّمُۚ فَلَا تَظۡلِمُوا۟ فِیهِنَّ أَنفُسَكُمۡۚ وَقَـٰتِلُوا۟ ٱلۡمُشۡرِكِینَ كَاۤفَّةࣰ كَمَا یُقَـٰتِلُونَكُمۡ كَاۤفَّةࣰۚ وَٱعۡلَمُوۤا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلۡمُتَّقِینَ } {التوبة 36}
1- It's the first month of the year and it's from the sacred months: Allah The Almighty says: {Verily, the number of months with Allah is twelve months (in a year), so was it ordained by Allah on the Day when He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are Sacred, (i.e. the 1st, the 7th, the 11th and the 12th months of the Islamic calendar). That is the right religion, so wrong not yourselves therein, and fight against the Mushrikun (polytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) collectively, as they fight against you collectively. But know that Allah is with those who are Al-Muttaqun.} [Surah At-Tawbah: 36])
Narrated by Abu Bakra: The Prophet (ﷺ) said. "(The division of time has turned to its original form which was current when Allah created the Heavens and the Earths. The year is of twelve months, out of which four months are sacred: Three are in succession Dhul-Qa' da, Dhul-Hijja and Muharram, and (the fourth is) Rajab of (the tribe of) Mudar which comes between Jumadi-ath-Thaniyah and Sha ban." Reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim
2- Its Fasting is the best fasting after Ramadan: Narrated by Abu Hurairah: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) as saying: The best fast after Ramadan is the fasting of Allah's month al-Muharram, and the best prayer after the prescribed prayer is the prayer during night. Reported by Muslim
3- In it, is the fasting of the 9th and 10th of Muharram: Abdullah bin 'Abbas reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: If I live till the next (year), I would definitely observe fast on the 9th(Muharram). Reported by Muslim
4- The Prophet was eager to fast the 10th: On the authority of Ibn `Abbas he said: I never saw the Prophet (ﷺ) seeking to fast on a day that he favored more than another except this day, the day of 'Ashura', and this month, meaning the month of Ramadan. Reported by Al-Bukhari
| 15 | 📌 Sin Corrupts What It Is Used With
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“Allah is not disobeyed through anything except that it becomes corrupted for the one who uses it in disobedience. Whoever disobeys Allah with his wealth, it is corrupted for him. Whoever disobeys Him with his status, it is corrupted for him. And whoever disobeys Him with his tongue, his heart, or any of his limbs, it is corrupted for him, even if he does not realize its corruption.”

| 16 | 📌 The Spiritual Benefits of Travelling
One of the great blessings of Allah upon His servants is that He made travelling more than just moving from one place to another. He made it an opportunity to draw closer to Him and increase in worship.
There are many ways this happens:
1. Special Du'as for Travel
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught us a special du'aa to say when setting out on a journey. This helps the believer begin his travel by remembering Allah, seeking His protection, and asking Him for ease and safety.
2. A Farewell Du'aa for the Traveller
The Prophet ﷺ also taught us words to say when bidding farewell to someone who is travelling. It is a beautiful supplication in which we entrust the traveller to Allah's protection and care until they return.
3. The Traveller's Du'aa Is Accepted
Among the special virtues of travel is that the du'aa of the traveller is accepted. Because of this, a traveller should make the most of his journey by increasing in supplication and asking Allah for every good in this life and the next—for himself, his family, his loved ones, and the Muslim Ummah as a whole.
4. Ease in Prayer During Travel
From Allah's mercy is that He made worship easier for the traveller. A Muslim who is travelling is allowed to shorten the four-unit prayers, making them two units instead. This concession is a gift from Allah and a reminder that Islam is a religion of mercy and ease.
5. Ease in Fasting During Travel
Likewise, Allah has permitted the traveller to break his fast during Ramadan if fasting would cause hardship. He can make up those missed days later. This is another example of Allah's mercy and His desire for ease, not difficulty, for His servants.

| 17 | 📌 What Knowledge Should Be Learned First
Al-Khatib al-Baghdadi (رحمه الله) said:
“A student should begin by memorizing the Book of Allah عز وجل, for it is the greatest of all sciences and the most deserving to be given priority.
Then after the Quran comes the knowledge of the sayings of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his Sunnah. It is obligatory upon the people to seek it, since it is the foundation and basis of the religion.
Allah the Exalted said:
"Whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you from, refrain from it." (59:7)
And He said:
"Whoever obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah."
(4:80)
And He said:
"Nor does he speak from his own desire." (53:3)
