We are very busy with preparations for Folkish Summer Hallowing 2024. Just wanted to show off the artwork for the gigantic background tapestries we are having made. These, and other designs, will cover the walls to make Sumbel more aesthetic. Tickets are on sale now at folkishsummerhallowing.com

A Rus variation of the gripping beast motif from Gnezdovo depicts a bearded face and a dragon, and is believed to depict Sigurd’s battle with Fafnir.

The warrior aristocracy of Bronze Age Europe were buried in warrior graves with personal weaponry - like daggers, swords, and spears. But there were other objects in these graves like hair combs, bronze razors and tweezers, cloak pins, and awls for tattooing the skin, that all speak to a profound interest in clothing, personal grooming and in adorning the warrior. So what can this all tell us about this aristocracy, the beliefs and practices of these elite men, and the nature of masculinity in prehistory? Find out by watching this video!

We do not support any forms of slander. It's one thing to make jokes or bust balls, but to maliciously spread information that is meant to defame someone without any proof needs to stop. Mistakes happen and we have a duty to atone for them. No one is perfect. But don't contribute to falsehoods and call yourself a heathen. Slander is a nid. A serious crime. One that demands retribution.

Repost from Germanic Paganism
Let’s not forget that slander was taken very seriously by our people historically. This channel has recently made an erroneous and dangerous accusation against Þórr siðr. I can personally say that whoever is behind the accusation, they are very far off target. It’s dangerous to make such a bold claim, especially without presenting a single shred of proof to any claim made. The infighting is becoming nonsensical at this point. It’s frankly ridiculous how many channels are constantly just sharing the same information and arguing with each other. Meanwhile the channel accused is actively working towards and living by what our ancestors attested. Not to mention spreading a large amount of obscure source material. Now I’d just like to point out. That making a slanderous statement without any proof to go along with it is embarrassingly short sighted.

Oðin wrote the Havamal. You know how I know that? Havamal means “Words of the High One”. It’s in the title. I trust that the Gods and our ancestors aren’t liars. I don’t need to know how. “Be middle-wise” “Yes, All-Father”

That's some atrociously bad Old English. Every single word is wrong. Have people also forgotten about the subjunctive in English? No case endings either. "May Thor strike you down" can be rendered as simply as "Þunor þé ofslege." (Thunor thee (may he) off-slay/strike-down) Or "Þunor þé ofþrysce" (Thunor thee (may he) off-thrash), which also recalls the vocabulary from the reference in the Salomon and Saternus poem. People need to stop doing ancient Germanic languages wrong. It's cringe.
