| 6 | Israeli Soldier Reveals 'Strange Order' To Cancel Gaza Border Patrols On 7 Oct
The revelation adds to evidence suggesting Israel knew of the Hamas attack in advance, yet allowed it to occur
An Israeli soldier stated that he and his fellow soldiers stationed at a military outpost near Gaza received orders not to carry out their usual early morning patrol on the border fence on 7 October 2023, Israeli media reported on 17 July.
During the time the border patrol would have normally been carried out, members of Hamas's armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, crossed the fence to attack Israeli army bases and settlements (kibbutzim).
Shalom Sheetrit, a soldier in the Golani Brigade, revealed the directive while giving testimony at a meeting of the lobby for reserve personnel in the Israeli Knesset.
He stated that on the night before the 7 October attack, he and two other soldiers, Yotam Sror and Itamar Ben Yehuda, sat by the battalion radio at the Pega military outpost near Kibbutz Be'eri.
“We were playing on the phone [at 5:20 am] and suddenly a strange message comes from my battalion commander,” the soldier explained, “and what he says on the call is something like this: ‘I don't know why, but an order was issued that there are no patrols at the fence until nine in the morning.’”

• Ansarallah captured the house of Saudi-backed “president” of Yemen, Rashad Al-Alimi. He recently announced the start of an offensive called “Dawn of Yemen” with the stated goal of retaking Sanaa. The offensive began with a large round of air strikes.
• After another missile attack; the vital Saudi East-West pipeline is closed again.
• The PLC began a counteroffensive attack in the Marib area, achieving some initial gains.
• With the capture of Sha’ubah, Al-Ayn, and Al-A’loum, the Ansarallah encirclement of Ta’izz is now complete.

| 17 |  +1🇺🇸🇬🇧 US pulls ALL B-1 bombers out of UK base used to strike Iran
The US has withdrawn all 12 B-1 bombers from RAF Fairford and sent them back to the US after security concerns surrounding an alleged plot against the base, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Fairford had served as a major hub for US bomber operations against Iran during the ongoing war.
The Pentagon confirmed that every deployed bomber had now returned to its home station, while insisting the aircraft remain capable of launching global strikes from the continental US.
The withdrawal came days after six suspects were arrested over an alleged plan targeting the base. British authorities are still investigating the incident and have not publicly established the full circumstances behind it.
One result is already clear: the entire B-1 force stationed at the UK hub used for strikes on Iran is gone.

Yemeni media citing unnamed regional sources claim approximately 19 American-made LUCAS attack drones have been transferred into Saudi-controlled areas of Yemen, including Al-Jawf.
The sources allege the drones are intended to be launched toward Mecca and the area surrounding the Grand Mosque, in an attack that would subsequently be blamed on Ansarallah.
The allegation has not been independently verified.
LUCAS drones are U.S.-made one-way attack drones modeled on the Iranian Shahed concept and have been deployed by CENTCOM in the Middle East.
The claim comes after Riyadh recently accused Ansarallah of attempting to target Mecca, an accusation Ansarallah denied.

Simon Andriesz, a 57-year-old former British banker who spent more than 35 years in financial markets, has died by suicide, The Banker reports.
Andriesz was a former managing director at BGC Group, where current US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick was chief executive. He found 2018 emails in the Epstein files linking Lutnick to Jeffrey Epstein through a startup investment and passed them to the US House Oversight Committee. The emails contradicted Lutnick's claim that he had cut contact with Epstein in 2005.
Lutnick denies any wrongdoing.
