🗣 Revision Team – organising revision sessions across different subjects and levels, supporting students with academic questions, and assisting with assignment preparation.
💬 Communication Team – managing sub-channels, creating useful posts, sharing course-related tips and updates, reminding students about important deadlines, communicating with Module Leaders, and helping students with academic concerns.

There’s been an update to the Non-Attendance Form submission process. 📚
Previously, you could submit non-attendance requests through SRS → Non-Attendance. The form is now available in the new Attendance System instead.
❓ Where can I find it?
🏦 attendance.wiut.uz → My Non-Attendance
You can use this section when you’re unable to attend classes due to a valid reason, such as health issues, family emergencies, or other unforeseen circumstances.
🗓 Future Absence
If you already know that you won’t be able to attend a class for a valid reason, you can also submit a Future Absence request through the same section.
⚠️Make sure to provide all the required information and attach supporting evidence where applicable.
Keep this update in mind the next time you need to submit a non-attendance or future absence request! 👀

| 7 | 💳 TUITION FEE: DEADLINES, PAYMENTS & PENALTIES
Dear Students,
A reminder about tuition fee payments for the 2026/2027 academic year! 📚 Make sure you know your deadlines and payment requirements to avoid penalties or restrictions on your university access.
📆 PAYMENT DEADLINES
For Bachelor students taking 120 balanced credits, the tuition fee is divided into 4 equal instalments:
• 16 September
• 16 November
• 12 January
• 12 March
⚠ If you are taking more or fewer than 120 credits, your payment schedule will be based on your semester credit load.
💰 PENALTIES
After each payment deadline, there is a 7-day warning period with no penalties or restrictions.
From the 8th day, a penalty of 250,000 UZS per week applies, for up to 4 weeks per instalment.
📌 For example: for the 16 September deadline, the warning period ends on 23 September, and the first penalty applies from 24 September.
💳 PAYMENT METHODS
🏦 Infinbank Cash Office — near the campus entrance
Mon–Fri: 09:00–16:00
Lunch: 13:00–14:00
❗️ Queues may be longer closer to deadlines.
🏦 Any Bank — print your invoice from the Intranet beforehand and make the payment at any bank.
📱Online — via Infinbank and Uzumbank apps. Online payments are available even on weekends.

📊 IF YOU DON'T HAVE 120 BALANCED CREDITS
If you have more/fewer than 120 credits or retake modules, your payments are calculated according to your semester credit load.
For example, with 140 credits, the payment plan may be:
• 16 September → 30 credits
• 16 November → 30 credits
• 12 January → 40 credits
• 12 March → 40 credits
💵 CREDIT COST — BACHELORS
🇺🇿 Uzbek citizens: 323,500 UZS per credit → 120 credits = 38,820,000 UZS
🌍 International students: 455,000 UZS per credit → 120 credits = 54,600,000 UZS
🎓 EDUCATIONAL LOANS
If you are using an educational loan, bring a copy of your loan contract, signed and stamped by all parties, to the Finance Department (Inquiry Office).
Students with approved loans will not be penalised or blocked, even if the bank transfers the payment at the end of September or later. Submitting the contract allows the University to confirm your loan status and keep your access active.
🧾 PAYMENT RECEIPT NOT SHOWING IN SRS?
If your payment does not appear in SRS within one working day, bring your receipt to the Finance Department.
Make sure your full name and invoice number from your Public Offer are correctly stated on the receipt.
⚠️ Don't leave your payment until the last minute! Paying on time will help you avoid penalties and maintain uninterrupted access to classes, campus facilities, and online resources.

Due to the new instructions from the Tashkent City Administration and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, some universities in Tashkent are changing their teaching hours.
🕗 What does this mean for you?
Some classes may now be scheduled as early as 8:00 AM for some of you 🫠
So, before coming to university, make sure to:
📌 Check your timetable again and also check your Outlook if you have received a message about time change
⏰ See if any of your classes have been moved to 8:00 AM

Thinking about taking a break from your studies? Interruption of Study requests for the 2026/2027 academic year are now open for enrolled students.
🗓 IMPORTANT DEADLINES

28 September – 2 October 2026
🟩 Semester 2, Teaching Week 4:
1 – 5 February 2027
❗️ Your request must be submitted no later than the end of Teaching Week 4 of the relevant semester.

Arrange a face-to-face meeting to discuss your situation and obtain their approval.
2️⃣ Submit your request
Complete the Interruption of Study request on the WIUT Intranet before the relevant deadline.

📌 Keep in mind:
• Students who are not enrolled for the 2026/2027 academic year will be automatically suspended for one academic year.
• Make sure you select the correct interruption period when submitting your request.
• You are responsible for resuming your studies once the approved interruption period ends, subject to your enrolment status in SRS.
• Before making a decision, discuss the potential impact on your study duration, academic progression, and unfinished modules with your Course Leader or Academic Counsellor.
• Applying promptly can help you avoid unnecessary tuition fee penalties and plan your studies more smoothly.

| 14 |  Registration is now open for WIUT Hackathon 2026: “Intelligence in Use” 🚀
The Computing Department at Westminster International University in Tashkent is proud to organise the first inter-university hackathon of its kind in Uzbekistan.
Organised in partnership with the Central Bank of Uzbekistan and Mikrokreditbank, with the support of IT Park Uzbekistan and Yandex ML School Uzbekistan, and sponsored by Royal Motors (Toyota, BYD and Ducati), the hackathon will bring together students from educational institutions across Uzbekistan.
Participants will compete in teams of three across two exciting tracks:
• Computer Vision
• FinTech / AI in Finance
Following an online elimination round, the top 40 teams will advance to a two-day final at the WIUT campus, where they will develop their ideas, pitch their solutions to industry experts and compete for exciting prizes.

Online elimination round: 21-25 September
Finals at WIUT: 10-11 October
🏆 90,000,000 UZS prize pool will be awarded to the top three teams in each track, along with an opportunity to join the residency programme at the innoWIUT hub. This is your opportunity to turn ideas into real solutions, showcase your talent and get noticed by industry leaders!
