Working hard is honourable, until it becomes an idol that draws us away from God. It takes humility to come to Jesus, let Him lead you, and learn from Him. To shed that second skin that prides itself in productivity and self-reliance. To acknowledge that apart from Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). Rest isn’t a reward for completing your to-do list or meeting your career advancement goals. If you find yourself striving and growing weary, perhaps it’s time to 𝒓𝒆-𝒆𝒙𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕’𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒄𝒖𝒔 🔎❤️ The Israelites were given the promise of rest in a land flowing with milk and honey. Yet they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years because their hearts were hardened by unbelief and disobedience. Today, we have the same promise of God’s rest. Whether we enter it depends on 𝒉𝒐𝒘 we receive it—with faith or with unbelief. As God's people, we don't have to work our way to salvation, but to rest in the work that Christ has finished. — Collaboration between @ourdailybreadsingapore and @ymi.today

𝑯𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒂: 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝒀𝒐𝒖 The book of Hosea ends where we might least expect: not with condemnation, but with hope. God invites His people to return and promises to heal their waywardness. This is love at its most astonishing—not earned, not cautious, but freely given. God does not merely forgive; He transforms. The images are tender and life-giving, what was once barren is made alive again. God’s love becomes the source of renewal, stability, and growth. Where unfaithfulness once marked His people, fruitfulness now flows from Him alone. These promises sustained God’s people through exile and loss, pointing forward to a greater restoration still to come. In Jesus, God’s love proved stronger than death itself. When God says, “I will... love them freely” (Hosea 14:4), He means it—whatever the cost. The book closes with a call to wisdom: receive this love, and let it change you.

𝑯𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒂: 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝒀𝒐𝒖 Just when judgment seems inevitable, God speaks again—and His heart breaks
𝑯𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒂: 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝒀𝒐𝒖 Just when judgment seems inevitable, God speaks again—and His heart breaks open. “How can I give you up?” (Hosea 11:8). Justice demands punishment, yet love refuses abandonment. God wrestles with himself, revealing the tension at the heart of His character. God is not like us. Where humans must choose between justice and mercy, God finds a way to uphold both. The book of Hosea points forward to the cross, where God himself steps in to resolve what we never could. Justice is satisfied. Mercy is unleashed. The anger our unfaithfulness deserved fell on Christ, and what remains for us is love—steadfast, restoring, and free. Let’s remember that God’s compassion is stronger than His wrath. He does not deny justice, but neither does He abandon His people. In Jesus, mercy wins.
