12–13 September, 2026
transmediale studio, silent green Kulturquartier
As part of the cooperation with Transgressive Memory Festival, transmediale presents the new work of the 2026 Vilém Flusser resident Martyna Marciniak.
Desert of the Unreal departs from a 2023 Reddit post depicting AI-generated rescue scenes from a 2001 Cascadia earthquake; a disaster that never happened, yet evoked an uncanny sense of collective misremembering 🧸
