Empowering Future Leaders at EPSU Ethiopian Public Service University (EPSU) held a one-day Life Skills Training for its newly enrolled female students of the 2018 E.C. academic year. The training, organized in collaboration with the Women’s Caucus of the House of People’s Representatives, the EPSU Women’s and Social Affairs Directorate, and Break Sru Trading PLC, focused on:Goal Setting, Time Management, Personal Experience Sharing and Designing Your Future. Opening the session, Dr. Azeb Assefa, Dean of EPSU’s Training Institute, reminded students that university life is a new chapter requiring independence, confidence, and strong soft skills. Mrs. Fatuma Ali, Executive Director of the Women’s Caucus, encouraged participants to stay focused, overcome challenges, and reach their full potential. The inspiring and interactive session was led by Mrs. Mahilet Solomon from Break Sru Trading PLC, concluding with motivational reflections from Mrs. Alemnesh Birhanu and Mrs. Fatuma Ali. #EPSU #LifeSkillsTraining #WomenEmpowerment #Leadership

Participants engaged in hands-on sessions on curriculum alignment, learning outcomes, and competency-based assessment. University leaders emphasized that adopting OBE is key to producing competent and ethical graduates who can effectively serve the public sector. The workshop concluded with a strong commitment to fully integrate Outcome-Based Education across EPSU’s programs, ensuring quality and relevance in teaching and learning.

EPSU Welcomes 2018 E.C. Freshman Students Ethiopian Public Service University (EPSU) warmly welcomed its newly assigned freshman students for the 2018 academic year during an orientation program held on October 18, 2025, at Abay Hall. EPSU President Dr. Nigus Tadese addressed the students, highlighting the University’s 30-year legacy in producing skilled public service professionals and its recent designation as an Applied University. He encouraged students to make the most of their learning journey and contribute responsibly to national development. University officials also provided briefings on academic programs, student support services, and opportunities such as the Student Success Suite (SSS) and the Five Million Coders Initiative. Dr. Lema Gudisa, Vice President for Academic Affairs, reaffirmed the University’s commitment to supporting students’ academic success throughout their studies.
