🌿 99 Names of Allah & How to Use Them in Du’a 🌿
🌿 Name of Allah: Ar-Rāfiʿ (الرَّافِع)
🕊️ Meaning:
Ar-Rāfiʿ means The One Who Raises. Allah raises whom He wills in rank, honor, and status. Sometimes He raises a person in this world, and sometimes He raises them in ways that aren’t visible to others, like increasing them in faith, patience, or closeness to Him.
🤲 When to call upon Him:
Call upon Ar-Rāfiʿ when you’re striving to become a better Muslim, asking Allah to elevate your character, or hoping to be among those who are honored in this life and the Hereafter.
💭 How to use this name in du’a:
“Ya Rāfiʿ, raise me through my faith and good character. Help me become someone who is beloved to You, and let every step I take bring me closer to You.”
🌙 Reflection:
When we think about being “successful,” it’s easy to picture money, recognition, or a high position. But the people with the highest rank in Allah’s sight aren’t always the ones the world notices. Sometimes it’s the person who quietly prays at night, is kind to others, and keeps turning back to Allah even after making mistakes. Ask Allah to raise your rank in a way that truly matters, even if no one else sees it.
📖 “Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge by degrees.” (Qur’an 58:11)

🌿 99 Names of Allah & How to Use Them in Du’a 🌿
🌿 Name of Allah: Al-Khāfiḍ (الخَافِض)
🕊️ Meaning:
Al-Khāfiḍ means The One Who Lowers. Allah lowers whom He wills with perfect wisdom and justice. He reminds us that no matter how high someone rises in this world, everything can change in an instant. True honor is never something we achieve on our own—it’s a blessing from Allah.
🤲 When to call upon Him:
Call upon Al-Khāfiḍ when you’re asking Allah to protect you from pride, keep you humble, or help you accept life’s ups and downs with patience.
💭 How to use this name in du’a:
“Ya Khāfiḍ, keep my heart humble, protect me from arrogance, and let every blessing bring me closer to You instead of further away.”
🌙 Reflection:
It’s human to feel proud when things are going well. Maybe you reached a goal, got a promotion, or accomplished something you worked hard for. But it’s also easy to forget who made it possible. Al-Khāfiḍ reminds us that our value isn’t measured by our title, our followers, or what people think of us. The people who are highest in the sight of Allah are often the ones who are the most humble. That’s a rank worth striving for.

🌿 99 Names of Allah & How to Use Them in Du’a 🌿
🌿 Name of Allah: Al-Bāsiṭ (الْبَاسِطُ)
🕊️ Meaning:
Al-Bāsiṭ means The Expander. Just as Allah can withhold, He can also expand. He expands our provision, our knowledge, our opportunities, and our hearts. When Allah wills good for someone, He can bring ease after hardship and open doors that once seemed impossible.
🤲 When to call upon Him:
Call upon Al-Bāsiṭ when you’re praying for relief, asking for barakah, seeking beneficial knowledge, or hoping Allah expands your heart with faith and tranquility.
💭 How to use this name in du’a:
“Ya Bāsiṭ, expand my heart with faith, my mind with beneficial knowledge, and my life with barakah. Make me among those who find peace in remembering You.”
🌙 Reflection:
Have you ever felt like life was closing in on you? Sometimes our worries become so big that they leave little room for hope. Then Allah changes one thing, and suddenly what felt impossible doesn’t seem so impossible anymore. That’s the beauty of Al-Bāsiṭ. He can expand what’s been restricted, ease what feels heavy, and replace despair with hope. Never think your situation is too difficult for Allah to change in an instant.

🌿 99 Names of Allah & How to Use Them in Du’a 🌿
🌿 Name of Allah: Al-Qabid (الْقَابِضُ)
🕊️ Meaning:
Al-Qabid means The Withholder. Allah withholds and restricts according to His perfect wisdom. Sometimes He withholds blessings, and at other times He allows us to experience difficulty so that we turn back to Him with sincerity.
🤲 When to call upon Him:
Call upon Al-Qabid when you’re going through a season of hardship, feeling spiritually distant, or finding it difficult to understand why things have become so challenging.
💭 How to use this name in du’a:
“Ya Qabid, if this hardship is bringing me closer to You, then keep my heart firm. If it is a test, help me be patient. And if I have drifted away, bring me back to You.”
🌙 Reflection:
Not every difficult season is a punishment. Sometimes it’s an invitation. When life feels heavy, we’re often reminded of how much we need Allah. We make more du’a, pray with more sincerity, and rely on Him in ways we didn’t before. Al-Qabid reminds us that even the moments that feel restrictive can carry us closer to the One who never leaves us. Sometimes the greatest blessing isn’t having an easy life—it’s having a heart that turns to Allah no matter what.

🌿 99 Names of Allah & How to Use Them in Du’a 🌿
🌿 Name of Allah: Al-Hakeem (الْحَكِيم)
🕊️ Meaning:
Al-Hakeem means The All-Wise. Allah does everything with perfect wisdom. Nothing He decrees is random or pointless, even if we don’t understand it in the moment. Every delay, every test, and every blessing carries wisdom behind it.
🤲 When to call upon Him:
Call upon Al-Hakeem when you’re confused about a situation, struggling to understand why something is happening, or trying to make sense of delays in your life.
💭 How to use this name in du’a:
“Ya Hakeem, grant me contentment with Your decree, show me the wisdom in what I go through, and guide me to accept what You have chosen for me.”
🌙 Reflection:
There are moments in life that don’t make sense right away. Things don’t go how we planned, prayers seem unanswered, or doors close unexpectedly. But Al-Hakeem reminds us that nothing is wasted in Allah’s plan. Even what hurts can carry wisdom we only understand later. Peace comes when you stop asking “why is this happening?” and start trusting that the One who planned it knows exactly what He’s doing.

🌿 99 Names of Allah & How to Use Them in Du’a 🌿
🌿 Name of Allah: Al-‘Aleem (الْعَلِيم)
🕊️ Meaning:
Al-‘Aleem means The All-Knowing. Allah’s knowledge is perfect and complete. He knows what has happened, what is happening, and what is yet to come. He even knows the thoughts we keep to ourselves and what our hearts carry when we can’t find the words.
🤲 When to call upon Him:
Call upon Al-‘Aleem when you’re seeking guidance, feeling misunderstood, making an important decision, or carrying worries that you haven’t shared with anyone.
💭 How to use this name in du’a:
“Ya ‘Aleem, You know what is in my heart even when I cannot express it. Guide me to what is best, grant me beneficial knowledge, and make my choices pleasing to You.”
🌙 Reflection:
There are times when we don’t know what to ask Allah for. We may feel confused, overwhelmed, or unable to put our feelings into words. That’s the beauty of calling upon Al-‘Aleem. Before you make du’a, He already knows what’s on your mind. Before your tears fall, He knows why you’re hurting. You don’t need the perfect words—just a sincere heart that turns to the One who knows you better than you know yourself.

🌿 99 Names of Allah & How to Use Them in Du’a 🌿
🌿 Name of Allah: Al-Fattah (الْفَتَّاح)
🕊️ Meaning:
Al-Fattah means The Opener and The Granter of Victory. Allah is the One who opens doors that no one else can open. He opens hearts to guidance, makes difficult situations easier, and creates opportunities when we think there’s no way forward.
🤲 When to call upon Him:
Call upon Al-Fattah when you’re facing a closed door, making an important decision, asking for guidance, or hoping for relief after a difficult time.
💭 How to use this name in du’a:
“Ya Fattah, open the doors that are best for me, guide me to what is good, and remove the obstacles standing between me and what pleases You.”
🌙 Reflection:
We’ve all had moments when something didn’t work out the way we hoped. A job we didn’t get, a plan that fell apart, or a door that stayed closed no matter how hard we tried. Looking back, we often realize Allah was protecting us or preparing something better. Al-Fattah reminds us that when one door closes, Allah is fully capable of opening another at exactly the right time. Trust His timing, because He sees what we cannot.
📖 “Say, ‘Our Lord will bring us together; then He will judge between us in truth. And He is Al-Fattah, the All-Knowing.’” (Qur’an 34:26)
