We had the absolute pleasure of creating the opening titles for the Motion Plus Design festival, taking place in New York on September 26, 2026.
Inspired primarily by the urban atmosphere of a postmodern metropolis like New York, we envisioned a series of distinct worlds, rendered through a stark black-and-white, film-noir aesthetic.

Bringing a forgotten tennis icon back to life through 13 minutes of Art Deco-inspired animation.
Playing to Survive is a feature-length documentary exploring the remarkable story of Gottfried von Cramm, a German tennis champion whose refusal to conform to the Nazi regime came at a personal cost. With much of his story lost to time, the filmmakers reconstructed his journey through a collection of personal letters, historical records, and rare archival material.
To visualize this extraordinary chapter of history, we created more than 13 minutes of cinematic CGI animation. Inspired by the elegance and geometry of Art Deco, the sequences recreate pivotal moments from von Cramm’s life—from the iconic grass courts of Wimbledon to the stark, oppressive atmosphere of a Gestapo interrogation room.

In this Cinema 4D tutorial, Andy Needham breaks down how to recreate a hypnotic marble slide animation inspired by Daniel Christensen’s entry in the Oddly Satisfying Render Challenge from Maxon and Corridor Crew.
You’ll learn how to:
• Animate a helix spline for smooth in-and-out motion
• Create satisfying looping movement using scale animation
• Build the slide geometry with sweeps and deformers
• Refine motion using F-Curves for polished animation
• Add a rolling marble for the final effect
Perfect for motion designers and C4D artists looking to create mesmerizing procedural animations and satisfying renders.

In this week’s Top Tip Tuesday, we’re rendering a NeXus particle simulation in OctaneRender.
Beginning with a cached, rotating particle effect, we start to set the scene up for render by adding an Octane Object Tag, enable Geometry in the Particle Rendering tab and add a Sphere object to achieve accurate particle sizing. To access particle color data for render, we create a custom Octane material, add an Instance Color node and input the xpEmitter as a Color Source.
We then explore using a Gradient Map to remap the particle color to a custom gradient before discussing other particle data we can access. Changing the Color Mode to Radius, we input the radius range, using this to remap the particle color animation based on size. To complete the render, we go back to Display Color mode, duplicate the Instance (...)
